A ton of folks are listing them for sale. Most have taken delivery or received notice delivery to take place within x weeks.

Those that I talked to, stated they were selling as life has changed from when they ordered 3+ years ago.

Against my better judgment, I offered to purchase at cost (no markup) and all refused.

There are people still sitting on piles of cash in the market. I don’t think people are holding their hats just yet. Later this year I think these cars will get closer to cost. I’ve been looking as well and still seeing them sell for a premium.

Racing B3 in Desert race... Headed out Friday morning for Tech, Prologue on Saturday and racing Sunday. Im doing Prologue, my son (17yrs old) and my buddys kid (18yrs old) are each doing a lap in the race. Going out with ZERO expectations, just going for the show and let the kids have some fun and say they raced KOH. Staying at The Forty

There are 2 that went up for sale for cost earlier this week.. I am not sure if they already sold or not, but I wouldn't expect them to last long.

I have #606 which is an El Jefe RG that is pretty built that I'm into like 46-47K. I have a El Diablo 526 that I'm keeping as well as my current car that I'm keeping.

If an rdp member wanted it I'd let 606 go for cost, just because I'm spending money like crazy right now. I'm not gonna go put it anywhere else though.

I don't know about the makeup of the Lucas stuff, but I think this goes back to "old school" stuff. LL100 and "lead substitutes" were used for a long time and that lead to degradation of the catalyst elements. Something about how actual lead would effect it's ability to do it's job, or react poorly, and also cause excessive heat to build up.

I always removed cats, or owned stuff old enough they didn't have to have them.

I would think with the modern motors, and what people do with them, products would be available no to remedy the situation.

One might guess, that to get past CARB in this day and age, there would have to be O2's before and after the CAT?

That new ECU kit might be what's needed in this particular situation?

Yeah on 1 tank of gas but really i wouldn't need something as sophisticated as speed diablo to do it. Just a beer can and hollywood studio like in 1969 would getter done!;)

Do you know if you’re in the first 500 being built now. I am in the 3300 range and would like to get it sooner if possible something could be worked out that’s why I ask.

11 Speed Cars racing KOH!!! I think 6 in the Desert race this weekend and the rest in the rock utv race next Thursday! This should be a good test! One of the cars racing has blown up 5 engines in the same car so far. Hopefully they have something fixed.
