Thats not true, engine failures so far have not been HP related...

There's no issues with cooling without a windshield.
its only when a windshield is on.
He said on insta he was gonna expose some people, any idea what that’s about? Dave and his windshield maybe 😜

IDK lol
TBH I've done my best to stay away from the drama as much as possible.
I have just been really enjoying the car and the memories we've made this season so far.

Also been really fun to tinker with it too. Learning the ins & outs of the car.

You're not wrong...
Luckily the full face helmet is nice (in cali)
and I usually just have a gator and glasses on when riding out in AZ.

Yeah he is. No way I'd have a car with one.

I won't be having seat heaters or some banging stereo system either.

Shit, I've been off roading for decades with no GPS or Comms.

You freaking cage guys are soft ass a newborns ass...

🙄🤣

All of them and I mean all of them have issues
I think the funny thing though with Speed is certain deposit holder(s) were so certain this car would not be released till perfect. The car wouldn’t need aftermarket items, cars wouldn’t be released till spare parts inventory was complete, dealer(service) networks were established, and all within the timeframe RG said. Then certain holder(s) were fine with waiting season after season because RG was essentially building a better car then initially described and it would be tested and proven before released to deliveries.
If you were to pay todays MSRP for your car, would you still be ok with the issues your experiencing, or are they blanketed by the “discount” you received?
In a year when the warranty expires, Speed key is released, and more issues come to light, what’s the price tag on that to you?

If I had to pay todays pricing I’d expect a front radiator (or overheating issue with the windshield resolved) and a lot better qc from the factory.. I’d also expect higher quality springs etc.. getting in early and getting it cheaper I’m fine with going through and tightening things and learning the car etc..

You’d be better off buying a car from Tractor Supply where you could return it when it breaks.

I don't have a UTV but we never wore helmets in our sand rails, jeeps etc
Do a lot of people wear them in utv's?
You are forced to in California. I have headsets and helmets with comms installed. I always wear the headsets.

Here is the biggest difference to me. Yes any UTV is a glorified golf cart and you can break ANY of them if you try and drive them like a TT. However you need to look at the number of units being sold vs the number of units having issues. Do some Pro R have issues? Sure they do, how many tens of thousands of them are there out there? Whats the real percent having issues?

Same with the Can-Am how many out there and how many with the same issue?

Now goto the Speed car, there are literally a couple hundred of them out there and what percent of those are having issues? I do not know a SINGLE person who has been delivered a Speed yet and had 0 issues at all. Every single person I know with one has had multiple issues and most of them have gone back to Speed at least once.

Thats the alarming part to me. I simply think they released these too soon and without enough real world testing. China testing on a home built track going in circles is not going to be the same as real world use at Glamis/Ocotillo/Baja/Utah.......

I agree they were released too early.. but on the flipside there were torches and pitchforks out because he hadn't released them yet. So kinda fucked if ya do, and fucked if ya don't.

These decompression deals they have on the cams is going to be a problem going into the future.. I'm not sure what the fix is for that other than just removing them, but it's pretty labor intensive, and not something a 20.00 an hour guy is gonna be able to do.

Are you going to be covered with the whole windshield deal?

I think he pays more attention to social media.. I know someone had a problem in Glamis and they literally brought him another car.. LOL. I was 8 miles away from the dealership, that wasn't offered to me. :D

Probably because Boardmanville is posting that your car blew an engine and we know RG stalks his IG.

That guy is an idiot.. 95% of the shit he posts is recycled garbage that isn't even true.. He was telling everyone that I rolled my car and a bunch of other shit as well.. He literally just throws shit out there and then hopes people respond to it, then throws more shit. I don't have time for that.

That is exactly the social media recipe these days. Don't matter if it is true, its all about creating clicks, comments, shares, etc. Kinda fucked up.

So I have a question. I think I read somewhere that these Speed Cars stock will run upwards of close to 100 mph. Correct me if I’m wrong. So if they do release this “speed key” how fast are they supposed to go? What kind of legal liability would they set themselves up for? At the speeds that they are running now, I can’t imagine how much liability insurance would cost them!

What are they liable for? I would imagine it isn’t much different than any of the other manufacturers running similar speeds, if not faster, or the dozens of sand rail manufacturers.
