I know three people that picked up their car and none signed anything like that. Damn those welds are good in some of those photos above. Can’t wait for my Diablo.

Lol I’m sure it’s good but saying it’s better in the dunes than a Tatum or any big name sand car builder is when his credibility went out the window for me.

I think he was excited and was trying to say it’s better than other SXS..

It’s not as easy talking into a camera for minutes on end as a lot of people think

Ok, back to the facts...

Are cars in the 3k range being produced or delivered? Anyone know?
No

What you are seeing are master #’s they are switching the lines from the el jefe to the bandit. Bandit wasn’t for sale early on hence higher 3xxx numbers.

Right now cars are slow to deliver due to the turbo replacement going on. Plus the normal delays of PDI as well (bottleneck for speed)

Any update to the speed keys? Are they really all that special? Couldn’t you just have Speed “flash” the computer if you really wanted it? The downside being you’d need to run it on “The Speed Key” all the time.

Got this shitty pic today on the 91, interesting that the Speed in the back has sand tires on the stock wheels

Didn't get the big brakes.
Ill be honest, was a little worried about the brakes at first, and after a full week out at parker and havasu I have zero worry now. Car stopped great, and locks up all 4 on pavement and dirt. We did adjust the pedal throw though, which took all of 60 seconds.

So out of curiosity how much are you still ahead? I think you said you saved 25k. So minus the new turbo and whatever else you’ve played with im assuming you’re still way ahead. Just curious on how big a savings being a tester will be as opposed to buying one of the ones that will be dialed in. Basically trying to find out what the headaches and hassles are worth in dollars if that makes sense.

That's a question that will have a different answer from every person you ask. And it will be different for you as well

Sounds like what you meant to ask was, do you regret buying the car? I haven't heard that from any of these guys yet.

Yea I agree. Dave has a nice advantage being close to the shop so he can just go pick parts up. Others might have to spend 400 on fuel to do the same thing.

If you bought a car that is four hundreds to very low thousands car this will all be done and dialed in for the same cost as these cars. Just a few more months wait time.

Seeing how us men drive to the ocean just to make sure it still has water in it, i dont see this as a big problem.

👍🏼

This guy is posting a lot of real world stuff.

Yep and he said it, pro r handles way better than the speed. So much so his grandma can sip her tea at 60moh through the whoops

That is true. But ballers being ballers don't care about silly wear on the clutch's. Not sure if the husky gentleman who lent his car to Joseph Fab is a baller, or just someone who doesn't like high belt temps? Either way, most of the speed cars I have obs in Glamis didn't have cvt cover in place. Thought it might be a new thing?

If I built a four seat pro r it would end up being 75-80k. (Actually more like 85, but for the sake of the internet)

If I built a new speed today like it sits it would end up being 76k.. buy the time I’m done with a bench and heat seaters etc it would be 80k..

I m into my cars 50-51k each. With the extra turbo I bought for the first one it was 2500.00 (normally 2700 but I did some machine work for Ken).

To rewind my life I would have just had Eric put in the factory replacement turbo for now.

So I’m somewhere around 25k savings on the speed (minus the 2500 for the extra turbo and clutch kit).

And 25-30k off a pro r..

I think what you are asking is if both were the same $$ which would I pick?

That decision would be very hard for me to say.. there are a ton of things I like about the speed that a pro r doesn’t have and something’s it could never have.l, no matter how much ya dump into one.. the reliability factor of a Polaris though is impossible to beat.

The main thing I like about the speed is the suspension geometry.. Most people that drive these things think it’s how well a car goes through the bumps and the whoops.. that is almost irrelevant to me. You can make anything run good in whoops etc if you get the right shocks and set it up. My ranger crew ran better than 95% of the shit out there after Eric got done with it..

It’s when you are doing 50-60 miles per hour and put it in a turn.. how does it react? The speed takes a set and turns harder and harder.. no other SXS that I have driven behaves like that. It literally runs like a mini trophy truck.. incredibly safe feeling and the amount of control you have over the car is insane.

I’m trying to set up a trip with my neighbor to get a ride. I’ll be a horrible person to review though because I’ve never really been in a sxs so I’m sure anything would be impressive to me at this point.

i will say my turbo s is like that, the harder i drive it the better it is. So i will agree that good setup cars are like mini trophy trucks

I think your numbers are a bit high.

I just built a Pro-R 2 seater.

SF Racework's Cage/Roof Rack/Rear wing
Windshield
SF Racework's Front Bumper
DRT Spare tire rack
DRT Rear Trunk
Baja Designs Chase bar
Baja Designs XL80 Baja Lights
5 Raceline beadlock Wheels/ 5 BFG 35" tires
2 5150 whips
SDG Suspension tune ($2,500)
PRP Harnesses
PCI Air Pumper
Switch Pros
PCI Tax Intercom w/ Kenwood radio
Chupacabra Mirrors
DRT Door bags
Turn signal kit
Professionally Installed and wired

I am in it 62k. You could easily build a nice 4 seat Pro R for 60k (less if you can install yourself). I saw a Pro R4 for 36k +tax today from a dealer.

From What I was seeing awhile ago the good pro r 4 was 50k?

By the time Morgan fucks with it it’s 25k to start.. that isn’t including all my plush shit that I like.. lol. Honestly I was shooting my numbers a little low but basing it on the 50k starting price.

For us we would have to have the plush seats, full fledged seat heaters (that go up your back as well) stereo / extra battery, big gps etc….

Where is that? Thats a model year old car and is that an Ultimate package? Thats almost 10K below MSRP and a lot of times they will add in a bunch of dealer BS on top of that to get the price back up too. Be careful when you see prices like that.

That’s for the good one??
Yes. When I get a moment I’ll find it. It’s on one of the FB RZR groups.

CaCustom Elk Grove is saying $10k off no ADM or a free RZR200 with purchase.

Let’s say it’s 40k otd. You could build the shit out of it and be in 65-70k range. Of course, that is before stereo as that could be tons of $$$.

I’m very familiar. Per the dealership comments, no ADM🤷‍♂️.

The differences between 23/24 are minor.

All Terrain Moto in Grand Junction, CO. Looks like $38 otd before taxes. I picked up a Pro R 4 Premium a couple months ago from them.

Here is the link: https://www.all-terrainmoto.com/brand-polaris-orv
Ya the premium is about 3-4K less MSRP. There are getting to be some deals out there again now thats for sure! Which honestly is bad for Speed because they arent discounting their machines since they havent even delivered all of the orders yet.....

Spoke to guy. It was a 2023 Ultimate in Virginia. Sold within 5 minutes of posting. After transport you'd be low 40's. Based on other comments in the thread, people are claiming 40-42k otd for Pro R4/2023 @ Ride Now in AZ. But it's the Internet, so who really knows.

Ya I could see 40-42K OUTSIDE of CA haha. Back east those cars do not sell as well because a lot of the trails are limited in the width vehicle you can take and these are too wide. You can find a good deal back there if you wanna deal with shipping.
