Anybody else wonder why the new buyers after all this time are trying to fix a over heating problem using the oem windshield it came with?
Asking for a friend...
I know you are all gear heads and have the ability to do this but.....
What about the guy that isn't? What's he going to do?

All this talk and it's like everyone is just fine with this. Seems crazy to me.
I didnt understand the patience waiting and I don't understand engineering a problem that's not yours.

Don't blow me up LOF! I'm asking for a friend, he is curious

3000 miles on my lexan by 'clearly tough' in Utah. No issues.
Maybe the one I originally got was shit but I had about 30 miles on it going into the sun and couldn’t see a damn thing if it wasn’t for littering I would have left it in the trail lol.

Why do you buy a new toyhauler to leave it at the dealer for 6 months for repairs?

It’s the exact same reason here, except there was a 30% discount to deal with a problem that will probably be fixed by Speed in another few months.

This isn’t a UTV for everyone. If your friend does not understand it, tell him to order a new Can Am and a gusset kit for the arms.

It is pretty telling that even with brakes and airflow that need some tweaking, and under 200 cars off the line total, the owners are still happy with the cars and love the performance.

Another dumb question.

Porsche has rear end motors. When the wing comes up on the freeway is that ramming air into their radiator?

Maybe a little too complicated for a fix.

Or does the shape of the car naturally ram air into the radiator?

Talking new cars not 60s air cooled ones.

Pretty sure they have a pair of radiators.
Up front. 👍

Standard equipment includes antilock brakes and heaters.

This.. All the power sports speeds are getting crazy. I hit 70+ on a snowmobile and that was terrifying. My new one can do over 100+...It won't be with me on it. I don't have a death wish.
I agree. And most of the talent piloting these machines makes it even more crazy…….having said that :D, i wrung out my turbo sled last year on 4th lake in ny, hit the 110 limiter very quickly and held for a mile or so before i was like i’m old now wtf am i doing this for…lol.

As dirtslinger said there is a gap on the sides of the radiator.. I gotta take this thing apart and see what’s what..

I honestly think my plate idea and a rear windshield might work.. but I gotta make sometime to make it real quick and try it.

Right now I’m buried with work.m and haven’t had five minutes to do anything. Stacy hasn’t even gone for a ride in the thing yet.

RD
Can I get a ride Friday?

When does the enclosed cab come out?

I need some Dust Free and AC while I wait for it to cool down….

lol
I asked that at SSSS, RG told me I was better off changing my order and getting back in line because it’s going to be a while, I said 2 years and I get the feeling from his limited response that it’s going to be longer than that.

It’s pretty easy to copy and paste the same response when your friend has the same questions and complaints over and over for 2+ years.

no complaints. Observations. How would a person complain when they don't own the topic of the complaint. Just observations, I know that's tough for you to separate the 2.
Your opinion is the car over heating with a OEM option is fine. Got it....

I have no skin in the game but I find the “complaints” or “criticism” interesting.

I can’t even imagine the village comments about a private jet with problems.

This is not directed at you at all. But whether it’s a Speed car, new DCB hull, Challenger jet or Porsche GT3 there are those who are customers and there’s those who are bystanders.

Still blows me away that there are people who have an opinionated opinion about something they have no intention of owning lol.

Effectively do you (anyone) have 50k - 100k to throw at a SXS? If you do then great, critique Speed into the ground or buy something else.

It is mind boggling the hate, time and effort put in by some people in this community for something they literally have no financial interest in.

There’s a “draw” to watching someone/something fail. I have an idea why but it really doesn’t matter.

As they say. Haters gonna hate.

I don’t see UTV manufacture bashing any differently than auto, boat, trailer, or gun manufacture bashing. How many Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge threads have we had lol? Everyone will have a side.

so dyno numbers are out and speed is 150whp

ouch.....
Running the car in 4WD on a rear wheel dyno doesn't give you accurate #'s
Per Chad larue is going to set up a Pro R the same way to see what the % of loss is and then that will give us an idea. They're thinking 10-20hp which is where the speed I believe was dyno'd before at around 170 to the wheels. There is a video with James lin and RG recently working on the E85 tune and they saw 230 to the ground in that video. Just for perspective. They were alaso running it on a 4wd dyno. We will see if that sticks.
The car also has a bunch of safeties built in like the torque limiters and what not so take that for what its worth.
No owner yet has really complained about the power, the one thing I do not like is how conservative it is tuned off the line, that's no good in my book. If i remember correctly that was done when they remade the casing for the trans. Trans seems to be holding up just fine, they should work on making that less conservative.
Chad said they will be back when they get the speed key.

I think it is a bit of haters gonna hate, but I also think it has something to do with the cockiness of RG and him shitting on the competition during development.....he has given his fan club lots ammo with delays, early problems, and terrible race finishes.... other than the fanboys he will need perfection to overcome the hurdles he helped build with the mouth...

Of course the Speed owners are happy, if you say anything derogatory Robby will put you on a blacklist and you'll never get your car serviced.;)
These cars are heavy so they will feel more planted, just like your last S x S after all the aftermarket add ons it starts feeling more planted and better at speed. I hope the tuners can help your HP numbers.

Plenty of us owners with actual cars, have voiced our concerns with issues, haven't been put on a blacklist yet.

Dyno numbers can be all over the place depending on where and who is doing it.

I think Nick gets his Speed key before he heads to Glamis next month.
