A better strategy would be to release the cars built to those deposit holders and not delay deliveries any longer. Or just say, we will start deliveries after SSSS. Speed has stated 75+ cars have been built. Why is the earliest delivery date Sept 17 (i believe that is owner #25). stopped watching the updates, got tired of hearing excuses.

You're not a real good reader, therefore, you spit, what you think are facts. Car #25 which was posted on this board, was a JOKE by JFMFG.

Speed has in fact posted that nobody will actually take delivery of their car at the SSSS, and deliveries would be realistically in October.

Yet speed stated 75 cars built with the hope to have 100 completed by SSSS.
Why the delay until October? Or was the cars completed post BS ’joke’ as well.

Agree, however all those brands have been delivering products for years, decades and even centuries.

Agreed. So why would they take the same boring approach as those delivering products for years, decades or centuries? That was the whole intent of attempting deliveries at SSSS, to make an event out of it and capitalize on it. Now they are just going to do that in Havasu with owner parties, rides, etc.

Because they are doing delivery events events in Havasu. It is called marketing.

Or are we back to arguing if we won’t get our cars now?

The lack of transparency is why I am no longer a buyer!
At least with my cyber truck deposit, I know it is years out - Tesla has been very transparent and has not over promised and under delivered multiple times on potential delivery dates.
I ordered a Tesla 2 months ago (model 3) and still don't have a delivery date. At this point my wife and I have a competition: my El Jefe or her Tesla.

Tesla is been radio silent since ordering. At least I get an Instagram live feed lol

That would piss me off, since the 3 is actually in production.
The last update I got, was production of the truck is targeted to start mid 2023. So I will not think about it again until 2023.

@Singleton, prepare to experience Tesla’s under delivery in a year or two. You’ve already been over promised.

I can walk without it costing me very little money and get my deposit back. No request for accessories to be paid in full, nothing. I will most likely walk, since the KIA EV looks like a good around Carlsbad car.

Because they don't offer them that I could find. They change the car whenever they feel like it and depending on where the car was manufactured and when you could need different sizes for things like floor mats on the same car

And don't get me started on the checklist I need to take with me to pick up the car because they have no QA.

Also I learned the price I put the deposit on might not be the price I'm paying. Turns out they can change it whenever they want.

Honestly more frustrated with Tesla than Speed and I have neither in my garage lmao

We briefly changed our Model 3 order to a performance version to accelerate delivery. But, my old lady hates driving cars, and for 75k, I can think of other vehicles I’d prefer to have in the garage. We cancelled our Tesla order and will wait impatiently for our Cadillac Lyric. Anticipate spring or summer ‘23.

My M3LR was delivering this Saturday. I canceled last minute, the tesla was not the car for me. I got a Toyota Rav4 Prime instead. It checked more boxes for me as a daily driver.

Tesla's model Y and model 3 are the most American-Made cars you can buy... Prove me wrong without your BS or drama (impossible for a guy like you)... I challenge anyone on this site to prove me wrong, just name ONE car that uses more America resources than a Tesla... With all the car guys on here you'd think one guy would step up and call me out, yet no one does, I welcome it..... Because I'm right Speed-Boy, and I continue to call you out on your BS no matter how dramatic you get.... :)

Let's hear your brilliant reply

Challenge accepted. I called you out yesterday but you conveniently ignored me.

Well your Teslas are partially made in China for one.. and you won’t post your window sticker because you know a Honda is more American than your 50% American Tesla will ever be 🤣

I can name more than one car, in fact there are a series of cars that are more “American” than your Tesla that may or may not be built in China (they don’t give you a choice).

Hondas, Toyotas, and some others are are definitively more American at over 65% American sourced parts. Have a look. Ridglines, Pilots, Odesseys, Rav4s and more.

Your move Elon boy 🤣.

Good Morning, you'll have to pardon me, I skipped all your dramatic comments and I'm gonna get to the topic.. And no, you have never called me out, lol

When it comes to assembly location, parts content, engine origins, transmission origins and U.S. manufacturing workforce Tesla is more American-Made then any other car. Like I said, the Model Y is number 1 and the Model 3 slips to second place this year. In fact, not only is Tesla the most American-Made car, Tesla has 4 cars in the top 6 most American-Made cars. Are there import parts put on Tesla's? Of course, but less than the rest.. You sure complain about the cost of Tesla's, but when you're buying American you'll have to pay more, that's just how it goes.

So I give you the Tesla Model Y, it is as American as Baseball and Mom's Apple pie..

Your Ford F150 isn't even in the top 20.... Sorry

Yep Made in China is more American!

The data I posted is from the NHSTA not Cars.com’s BS analysis. Your Tesla is beaten by multiple cars in “Americanness”, it is right there in the numbers.

Post your window sticker. You won’t because you know your car is less American than a Honda.

Nice try, Speed Boy.... Nice side stepping... You are totally wrong as always and got caught.... I don't have to post my window sticker, you already did it for me. lol thanks? Window stickers don't mean shit... But when everything is calculated in, Tesla wins.. And no other manufacture is even close.. 4 in the top 6, that's pretty telling.

Your Honda got 4th.... And if you're not 1st yore last...

Keep trying then Dan. I’m sure Cars.com is accurate, even those they say they have a proprietary weighting standard for those ratings they don’t share 😂.

But yea the federally mandated information on your window sticker is all lies… even though Cars.com says they use all the federally mandated information from the window sticker as the sources for their survey.

Have a good day. Enjoy the illusion of your half American car.

Love to see Speed Boy talk about made in America in his personal douchey thread about an American SxS made in China

It’s like the Speed fantasy threads make him unhinged

Thanks for playing Dan.

You are not playing apples to apples.
One is talking part the other parts + assembly.

There are 100s of new teslas at a unnamed tilt up building in vista.
They alway have the trunk rear hatch open with someone doing something back there. .

Strange location. Literally 100s of them

Want to know how I know you didn’t absorb that post? This is absolutely Apples to Apples.

All of that information is on a cars window sticker. It is federally mandated to be there. - Parts origin, engine origin, transmission origin and assembly location.

If one car is made in America with 60% American parts, and the engine and transmission come from America,

and car 2 is made in America with 50% American parts, and the engine and transmission come from America,

Which car is “more America”?

You are a numbers guy, I know you know the answer.

The window stickers says % of where the parts came from and final assembly location (Honda says 70% parts US/Canada).

The other post (article) takes into account all assembly data, not just the final stop.

Probably pre delivery prep? Not like they have dealers to store the cars for them.

And they get that data from the window sticker data. That’s is right there in their criteria.

That is the only data they have. Where the engine is made, where the trans is made and where the car is assembled. All of that is on the window sticker.

Then they add a secret weighting they can’t tell you to get their results 😂.

You are a numbers guy… you know the answer - 50% is less than 60% or even 70%.

They have been using unnamed buildings for a few years for car storage around SD. Not all are pre-delivery locations. Some are pending parts for repairs, etc. They used to use parking lots of vacated buildings, that changed 2 years ago.

Yea, I don’t get how he thinks Teslas purchase model is transparent and up front and you think 50% is more than 70% 😂

Keep hoping I’m wrong Dan. That’s a good strategy. 👍🏻

You sure seem to have issues with Elon Musk. This, The Pi phone thread. 🤷🏼

What gives

I have 0 issues with Musk. Where have I said I did?

The day after you said Musk is going to kill Apple and go proprietary with his tech, and I said Musk believes in consumer choice and he will not kill Apple, they announced a partnership with T Mobile to expand customer choice.

Here someone says a car with 50% American parts built in America and China is more American than a car with 60% or more American parts built only in America.

Neither of those positions are anti Musk. They are just anti clown world.

You can’t win if Speed Boy says yer wrong - his is the only opinion that counts. You’ll know you’re winning when he insults you

If that’s the standard we are using, I’ve been beating you and the others for over 18 months it seems 👍🏻
