Any idea how narrow a 4 seater can be made? I have approximately 75” from cabinet to wall in my TH….

It can’t be made any narrower. It already has flush face wheels so the suspension arms could be as long as possible. You’d be hoping to jack it up to change the track width to get it to fit at best.

They joked once that even if you put it on plywood wheels it would still be 75” wide because of the lug nuts sticking out of the plywood.

What if you jack it up, like your jumping it? 🤔
Floor jack under it, use a ratchet strap to hold the new width. Sure its taller, but narrow

At best your delivery is going to be sometime in October, so still at least a month out, and they have to make sure the cars are gonna get wherever they are going.

There is not business reason for them to start building them unless they can get out a few hundred at a time at least. Doing this 10 cars at a time isn’t going to go on forever. It seems like it’s more of an order of operations and assembly engineering thing than a parts problem at this point.

I’d agree 2k is a stretch for years end. I think even the first 1000 is a stretch for years end.. but that all depends when they start going full bore with production, if they have not already.

hopefully your more in the know and he gets it soon….like I said he’s in the top 10 and he was being told by Halloween. crazy how many different time frames floating around.

I agree, he will have it by Halloween. My understanding is they are delivering these in larger numbers, not one or 2 at a time. They are planning events for the new owners…. They may deliver a few dozen per event.. I don’t know what they are planning exactly.

This ain’t a Can Am :) there is some track width change across the travel, but not a foot like radius rod car. That’s part of the reason why these will drive better :)

It has been very quite, wonder what's happening. The calm before the storm?

RG has been all over the country the last couple weeks.

I’d assume they are prepping for the show this weekend. A show that they will have no cars at per the experts.

These are the same experts that said updates and communication from Speed on progress are bad, but then wanted updates on progress a couple weeks later.

I was thinking the same, busy getting customer cars for the show. He can silence the doubters if he has cars and real production news available at the show. Are you going to the show, or the Regatta?

Was thinking the same. Speed stated a month ago, the goal was 100 customer car built by SSSS. So, customer cars are either at the SSSS and deliveries start in October (why wait a month after SSSS to deliver beats me) or another excuse for delivery delays will be posted.

That answer has been provided many times.

I don’t even care about silencing doubters. Let them doubt and complain

None of them are in line or want the product anyway, so it is irrelevant.

I am going to the show to see what they have going on.

While an answer has been provided (delivery gatherings, etc), I don’t buy it.
I think they want the formal CARB approval (cert published) prior to delivery. Without that CARB cert, CA buyers and dealers are F’d. Yes you can get around that by registering the car out of state, but that is an extra step most CA buyers don’t want to deal with.

And now you have 2 answers. Waiting on the CA bureaucrative process is a nightmare. Especially at CARB post covid.

Coming close to a month since the phone calls supposedly started, how many have gotten their call? I guess the SSSS will divulge more info on possible estimated and projected future delivery dates?

#125 no call, I did get an email from Todd that said I'd be getting an email in the next couple weeks to schedule my call, that was on Aug. 29th. So maybe soon I'll get the email?

I'd really like to get mine before the 1000 as I'd like to use it to pre-run with vs. my Baja.

His ”goal” is 100 cars delivered at camp RZR glamis so you might be a little behind that, not sure how much though.

I have other vehicles, but cruising at Class 11 speed would be nice in a 4x4 so I could go slow and not worry about silt and crap when looking for go-arounds.

Needs to be a little in-between, the Class 11 car will SMOKE my TJ, so that speeds a little off for course notes for me, My Raptor is more of an 11 car speed, but it's my daily driver, LOL. If I don't have the Speed, my Baja will be heading down there.
