I said this was going to go one way or another 2 years ago when they said it had a 2.0L engine. I don't think they are going to do anything personally. 1000CC has been the lay for awhile. It is just gonna be a lot of cops pulling over PRO R owners. Hopefully they go the other way and say if it has a cage, helmets are recommended not required. It is going to be very confusing for dirt cops for a few years.

If they go the other way, everyone in every "sandcar" car will have to wear a helmet in CA šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
I would wear a helmet regardless. Also given how quickly I was able to tip my car over itā€™s a no brainer. Helmet all the way.

Not screaming at all, and I wouldn't be suprised if there are any recalls or issues with a new car.

Now, I will scream about you guys riding your bikes on the upper walk path in Redondo Beach though, LOL
šŸ¤¦šŸ¼šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ Iā€™m definitely guilty of that. We just came from pedego and I thought I could get down to the lower one from the upper one and well the old people on the upper path definitely let us know we were on the wrong path lolā€¦.heading to Newport dunes tomorrow so if anyones in the area let me know. Maybe LOF can buy me a margarita šŸ¹šŸ¹

I see a few people up there from time to time, I usually let them know, as I guess, I'm one of those old people now.

BTW, you were all up in my neighborhood, you may have even rode right by my house.

If delivery is outside 30 days, the loan will need to be reapproved and updated. Easy process, but flags the loan within the risk department. If the loan funds without the car being delivered and the purchaser sings the documents saying he took delivery that is fraud. Most financial institutions audit loan documents quarterly and for any new manufacture it is even more frequent. The bank will also do DMV registration verifications, if multiple loans have to be reprocessed due to delivery outside that 30 day window.
Wonder how dealers like Fun Bike Center in San Diego is handling this financing hurdle with an entire showroom stuffed with sold Sea Doos awaiting electronic components ? Maybe new owners only paid the deposit until they finally pick it up ?

Usually the finance application is completed and in a ā€˜approved - pending statusā€™ with a deposit paid. Once parts have arrived, the finance dept will resubmit all finance documents for final approval (purchasers might have to complete / sign additional docs) and then the real loan review is executed. In most cases the interest rate will change since the loan has not been finalized.

We ride by there often. Lots of good spots to go to from there. We go from the house to El Segundo for a longer ride. We are 1 block from the Riviera village. Been wanting to do try to ride to Venice in back. Been a long time since I did that ride by pedaling. With the E bike should be good ride.

I'm at Broadway and Ruby, on the corner, with the big green Dinosaur in the front yard

I did RB to Venice on skateboards when I was a kid, it took us forever and we all got grounded when we got home.

Venice is a nice ride. Did that on our beach cruisers with my daughter last week from our place in Hermosa Beach. 22 miles RT. Lunch at Baja Cantina on Washington.

It would be more fun on an ebike.

With the E bikes we ride up to Santa Monica promenade and down south to the cliffs With no problem at all. E bikes are the way to go šŸ‘ Iā€™m at Newport dunes currently and will be all over on the E bikes the next few days

Graphics, would not make my MVP listing. Engine, suspension, etc = yes. Graphics would be a hard no on any MVP listing.

If you think they have been testing the graphics for 4 months, you may end up disappointed.

And besides, the graphic changes they made were covered a month or so ago in the updates.

A better strategy would be to release the cars built to those deposit holders and not delay deliveries any longer. Or just say, we will start deliveries after SSSS. Speed has stated 75+ cars have been built. Why is the earliest delivery date Sept 17 (i believe that is owner #25). stopped watching the updates, got tired of hearing excuses.

No that is not a better strategy based on how they want to go to market.

What good does randomly releasing a couple dozen cars do when they want to make the deliveries and debut of a car the brand a marketing event, giving their customers full support when they take delivery and also give them a unique delivery experience? The Speed team is going to be there in Havasu when they do these deliveries, that is why they are corralling them into a certain timeframe.

What would an excuse or delay from Speed matter to you or someone that is not waiting for one?

If this was Polaris, Can Am, Ford or anyone else youā€™d just be ā€œpending deliveryā€ anyway with no explanations and no target dates at all. Maybe it will be early maybe it will be late, who knows.

Also it was stated they will deliver after SSSS the first cars, either last week of Sept. or first week of Oct.

The lack of transparency is why I am no longer a buyer!
At least with my cyber truck deposit, I know it is years out - Tesla has been very transparent and has not over promised and under delivered multiple times on potential delivery dates.

Iā€™m sorry but that is laughable. Tesla are the kings of over promise and under deliver for nearly every car they released from a release date, range and price perspective.

The Cyber truck going to be more months late than the Speed UTV.

Speed is updating their timelines monthly and you thinking that is less transparent is interesting, considering you have blind acceptance that your Cyber Truck will arrive in ā€œyearsā€ and will certainly cost more than was promised in 2019.

If you arenā€™t a Speed buyer are you picking up a Can Am or Polaris car for the season? If the answer is no, I struggle to see the logic of why you want these rushed into customer deliveries. The cars are built, they will be delivered in the next 30-60 days it seems.

Of course we are all interested to see what customers think of them, so I get your point. But again from the perspective of launching a brand, letting a few guys have their cars before the launch parties does not get the same eyeball.

For the 1000th time, The car is way more than what was promised in 2019. And they held fast to their pricing commitments. They certainly didnā€™t have to.

Seems like a better strategy then their competitors.

All speculation on if the car is better until its actually in the hands of actual customers!

I know you like facts and being right but until then youā€™re supplying neither.

Read what you quoted again. You didn't get it, obviously.

The car is light years better than the prototype peddled to perspective buyers in 2019. It has more features, and is a better design with stronger parts. That is demonstrable fact because it is not a stretched WildcatXX with a long travel kit on it that was sold for deposit in 2019.

For me my first priority in buying a UTV that my wife and kid's are going to ride in was safety. I have seen enough of the car online and in person that I know for a fact that the Speed UTV is light year's ahead of anything else on the market. No speculation involved.

X2. When I saw the stock cage, chassis and materials they used compared to everything else on the market - I was in.

How do you know for sure? Exactly you donā€™t until you drive it read what I said again and see if it make more sense the second time.

Iā€™m all for the car but statements and prototypes arenā€™t proof of anything.

Go ahead and quote me again but youā€™ll still be wrong! FACT!

What does driving the car have to do with the features and product promised in 2019? No one was talking about driving the car.

But I get it you just want to whine and hope the car wonā€™t perform. Keep whining. Itā€™s not like hundreds of people havenā€™t gotten rides and given their feedback on them at this point šŸ‘šŸ»

How do I know that the production car is better than the 2019 prototype? I saw the prototype and have seen the preproduction cars. Itā€™s pretty obvious to anyone when you look at the 2 cars and then actually understand how the new product is constructed that they are delivering beyond what was promised for $32k in 2019.

Unless you want to argue that the car they designed from the ground up, tested and demoed all this time is not the same design as what we will get šŸ¤£.

Agree, however all those brands have been delivering products for years, decades and even centuries.
