Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the Garmin. I have a 9” Lowrance going in the car with the external Baja 1 antanna. I agree that they are not feature rich, but I have not had a problem with them not working to date. I make my own sat imagery maps for the areas I run, which has made it much more useful.

If the Speed screen mirroring is worth a damn I will use a phone app that mirrors on the screen as a secondary.

The Garmin already has all of the satellite imagery built in to the unit and allows you to upload pre planned route's/trip's from your phone wirelessly.

IMO, if I was RG and they had my design with a somebody else's name wrapped all over it representing it as their own I would have a fuk'n coronary right there on the spot.

This is not a normal thing and would be like a Corvette having the cover pulled off to reveal a Camry badge at the Detroit Auto Show. I have no idea what the hell is happening here, but that picture with the Hisun name all over it wouldv'e made my blood boil if I was RG.

As far as anyone knows "with certainty" is that no body has a clue as to what the story is. My popcorn is ready as I do enjoy the banter in this thread.

I am assuming you are talking about the Mazda/Toyota factory where Mazda owns 50% of the factory and Toyota owns 50% of the factory and they share the cars produced?

You and me are on the same page.. I honestly don't think Robby knew about it, and if he did, I certainly don't think he expected lighted Hisun logo's on the front and sides of it.. LOL

Either way, we will see what transpires. The marketing guy saying they aren't building a separate brand helps to ease the anxiety, but who knows..

I'm hoping mine come sooner than later! It's monsoon season which means riding season is around the corner.

If robby didn't know, I would guess he is rightfully pissed. He is also probably dealing with that privately to not blow up his manufacturing relationship at the 11th hour and after 3 years of work.

They showed many of them, infact they showed anything but the Speed car coming off of the production line,. and everyone keeps missing it, this wasn't a post on IG from Hisun, it was from the mayor.

He machined triple clamps, pegs, shifters, etc,etc. A year or so into it we started to build and test an aluminum frame kit he wanted to build and sell. Many months later we had a great frame, and ended up building 3 bikes for the Las Vegas Mini Moto. 1 for me, 1 for David Pingree, and 1 for Blake Baggett. All three ran great and we rode the shit out of them. After the race he was flooded with orders and his father made a deal with a company in China to build them, to his "specs". Needless to say, the first 15-25 of them snapped in half and it was a nightmare. They eventually went back to the US for the frames but China for everything else.

This whole thing is not what I thought it would be. I have no money in it, I just feel bad for the people thinking they were getting something RG.
