If Robby was opening a brand new never mentioned factory in mexico for speedutv he would have been shouting it and bragging about the expansion, no? He is suppose to be fully transparent and that's what set's him apart from the rest. "it is what it is" makes me think he is hearing about this same as us. Other wise this would be huge news for speed utv.

Robby does not open factories for Hisun for starters. Probably why he was unaware.

If it was simply a promotional car, as Hisun and RG seem to indicate I’m sure he’s a little annoyed it was not co-branded with Speed.

The people building the cars for Speed just confirmed that they are in fact building the cars. Or that too is just more CGI and lies from Speed

The Speed cars are being assembled in the McKinney Texas Hisun facility. Sometime in the future Speed assembly might switch to Saltillo MX.

We are still waiting on those UTV's that was suppose to make polair and cam-am look like a POS. Its been over 2 years now. I am going to hold my breath for when he actually delivers a pickup truck that kills the raptor.

Agreed. What is Robby gonna do, terminate the build contract? Looking good and good PR for the local government is worth it to them in the long run.

As usual, this seems to be much ado about nothing. I was hoping it meant more cars in more countries, but seems that will come later.

Racer56 posted an IG post from the head of US sales for Hisun. He’s the one that said it, so argue with him about it.

On a different note, what gps unit's are you guys running in your utv's? I plan on running a Garmin Tread XL Overland in my El Jefe. I've always had Lowrance unit's in my race cars, but they are to hard to use, don't have the features the Garmin has and I personally have had issues with them working properly.

Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the Garmin. I have a 9” Lowrance going in the car with the external Baja 1 antanna. I agree that they are not feature rich, but I have not had a problem with them not working to date. I make my own sat imagery maps for the areas I run, which has made it much more useful.

If the Speed screen mirroring is worth a damn I will use a phone app that mirrors on the screen as a secondary.
