So how long until the cars are getting out of production? Waiting for the none Speed cars value to plummet and the wife give me the check book one more time. LOL. by the way did I tell you about the most recent purchase?
They say there will be cars in the dirt in 60 days.

You did not inform me of the most recent purchase!

The only drama is from the people that don’t have cars on order. Everyone with an order wants the complete opposite and likes the updates on progress.
Does ford put a weekly live chat about the new raptor r or whatever no.

And there is drama about the speed car, regardless. I’ve heard you are a good dude in person and I know you have to agree deep down even if your internet pride prohibits agreeing, I’m really not trying to argue with you. The bottle line is the less info out the more he can control the narrative at this point.

Might want to be careful talking for “everyone with an order.” I know multiple spot holders that completely ignore the weekly updates(they repeat the same shit every week) and wish they would focus their time on actually finishing the cars..

Did you see all the people with
no answers as to where their Broncos were. They seemed really happy with no communication from Ford.

I’d rather see the progress and hear what they have to say.. as would everyone else that is waiting.

The only drama seems to be from non customers. Less info is not the answer. I challenge you to find a customer that wants less info, not more. I can tell you no customers here want less info.

What does Speed care if a bunch of non customers want to argue with what they say? They are controlling the narrative, non customers are just yelling into the wind.

If they ignore them how do they know they say the same shit every week? :)

This was in April. What’s September look like? Will they have graphics?

There will be $50k Xp41ks at the sand show in 6 weeks, just like there were last year.

I know 3 people that spent about $80k on built Turbo S 4 seaters last year.

He’s talking professionally built cars.

He said bolt ons, I don't consider that professionally built.

I have been looking at new SXS, and went to 2 dealers over the weekend, both of them had Can-Ams with the normal bolt ons for around $65k, not sure where the $85-$90k is coming from.

Either way, I am not a hater, I am a RG fan so I wish him nothing but success. Gonna be a killer car once it comes out and the bugs get ironed out.

$85-90 is for a car with more bolt ons, custom painted panels, more power, etc. When you take a car to Triumph, TMW, SDR etc. you can get to $80k pretty quick.

I agree, custom built cars can easily get to $85-$90k, but when someone says with "bolt ons" that is not what most consider a custom built car

I remember when $80k, hell even $65k, was one of the most expensive BMW's you could buy 😆
.
I sure hope the Speed Car lives up to the hype. No doubt it'll be good but will it be as great as its been touted.......or will the mass producers be able to keep pace? Afterall, technology theft is as common as vessel splashing.

Why would they assemble them before the graphics? That seems like a pain (note- Ive been on similar assembly lines so I may know a thing or two. 😂 )

Those were the first ones, they were still finalizing the graphic schemes.

What slot do you have?
RD at 131 has a chance depending on where final assembly is occurring and what parts are stateside.
Zero china tariffs on completed SXS, but SXS parts have a huge tariff.

I am 113 and 312 then some number up in the thousands for the 2 seater

No way people are paying 85-90k for a can am. I don’t believe it.

Best I can see is 60-65k (assuming still play car) full race car yes easily 100k (full tube chassis)

Well believe it.. because it’s happening.

I’m talking dealerships like Anderson here in Havasu.. straight bolt on shit and they got 84,000 at the sand and water expo and said they sold it too cheap.. 😳. There has been quite a. Few of these being sold with nothing but bolt on equipment..

Granted it’s a shitload of bolt on stuff, but it’s literally all bolt ins. No custom da work / no suspension mods (unless it’s bolt on) etc..

I will see if I can find one of the more recent ads.. just saw one the other day again..

On Glamisdunes, someone mentioned that he had heard some people got calls about delivery and payment. Who knows, probably misinformation.

I'm #125, I haven't heard anything.

I remember seeing those. It’s a Carl number.. and they were getting them. When a bolt on XP41k is $45k… $85k for a top line car with everything isn’t a stretch, but not the norm either.

I am seeing them recently and they are selling because the inventory is turning over

From what I’m seeing at the local dealers is the new Polaris is staying on the floor a little longer than Covid times but still moving and all dealers seem to be fully stocked on everything.
I’m sure a lot of it is because it’s the off season but still makes me wonder if we’ve hit the peak as far as free spending.

I’ve seen the 80k cars and can’t believe people are paying that but I still can’t believe we spent 40k on ours. Lol.

Speed car looks to be shaping up to be way more than originally promised hope it all works out for the guys that have been waiting!

Just hope there is no US/China conflict BS that puts a halt on trade. Other than that, I can't imagine what will prevent delivey of my car this fall/winter.
Super stoked...

When the alternative is to pay TMW( or whoever) $80k and wait 2 months, or have it done and driving it in 2 hours for $82k, it is an easy choice.

Is this the 1st run on production chassis? Like 1-100?
I have no idea, and outside of RG, who does know?! We’ve only seen 12 or so assembled “production” cars outside of this, so I would think this is the first batch of actual customer chassis.

I admire RG's will to be competitive and win, but 30+ cars a day? In what fashion? Turn key deliverable? Hard to believe based on the recent footage.

Hisun makes more widgets than Polaris or Can Am…. That is how assembly lines run. There is no money in building 5 cars a day at this price point. The only way this works is mass production.

You can choose to believe what they say or not believe it, but industry and Hisun knows how to mass produce things, they do it every day. You don’t just hit the ground running at 30 cars per day on the first day.

Hisun plant in China was just closed due to Covid protocols. Scheduled to reopen in October

I guess these things are going to be so fast they're being built like the SR71. Things are loose at ambient but with speed everything expands and fits just right.

Those gaps won't be a problem at Mach 3.
first thing I noticed in the pic was the gap between the two tubes. are these chassis MIG welded rathe than TIG welded? not that it matters, a gap is still a gap. lol
