I'll take a swing at your question, just something to think about that is entirely possible.My one single question to all of that is how do you NOT finish and deliver at this point when you have $500M (16k+ units) in orders?
2 years ago, sure what you outlined could have been a real possibility.
Who would give up, fold, or walk away now? You could get all the capital investment you needed to finish the job with that level of sales commits.
At worst someone would buy him out and make the cars. If that played out, I don’t know where that would put preorder deposit people.
I have faith he will bring some production cars to market, hopefully all of them. In that period, what happens when the first 1,000 cars start throwing rods through the side of the block or transmissions break, or any other catastrophic failure that is entirely possible(I understand there has been testing, but not as much testing as the big names in the industry and they still have major issues and recalls). What will RG do at that point? What happens when the remaining 15,000 orders back out because of said issues?
I don't wish any of that on him, but it's all possible.
