Nothing like multi year promises to attract a crowd to try to find out what’s new. It’s human nature to check out what doesn’t exist rather than products that are already being delivered and purchased.

Two constants:
1. Speed cars are coming
2. LOF’s tireless defense of anything related to the hype
3. Your cries for attention 😉

Enjoy your jeep.

The hype needs no defending. It still exists, maybe more than ever.
Maybe you should have been there and held up a meme for everyone to let them know they will never get a car 🤣.

The tires look pretty used in those pics. In fact the 19 car tires almost look bald 😂 Also the dashboard looks like it came out of a 1500 work truck.
Quick thought, huge sand show to show off your products and builds, why did he bring used cars vs mostly new cars that are supposedly sitting in storage waiting for a cert to deliver? cant show a vehicle without certs? I doubt it. What would the reasoning be? just Curious. I just saw the blue one, nice looking for sure. Is that the way the doors align?

They are testing cars.

The new cars were not used much if at all.

Car 19 with the nets has some scrapes on it here and there, looked like from transit more than anything. Why would they bring a customer car to be damaged in transit and pawed all over all weekend?

No, the door is not latched.

4. Your arrogance and putting down other members - anyone you don’t agree with

How can you see your phone with your head so far up RG’s ass?

😂😂😂

Over 6 months of you calling me names and I put people down?

That’s rich. Try it that one again, you can’t be serious.

Sorry if you feel put down… again.

The blue one is a testing car? still looked very nice but those door alignments would have me cringing if I was showing off such a bad ass ride, if they were unlatched that is another story, would make sense they would not show off a new car with such obvious production faults. As far as bringing a customers car to the show, I would think they would want to show off new cars and I can bet a few buyers would love to see their car sitting at the show being shown off. Also, if he had any sense he would build a few production cars to bring to shows vs used if he did not want to use customer cars dont you think?.

I just said it was unlatched, people were getting in and out.

The doors are like 98% perfect now.

These are cars that probably won’t be sold. Test cars, press cars call them what you will. They all had VINs so not much else to say. Gordon said that’s essentially what we are getting, and to judge him on those cars.

They look easily as good as anything else on the market.

Personally if that’s the final product I’m happy especially after walking through the dealer areas and seeing prices for new units.

Since you brought it up what are unicorns going for these days?
$43k for an LE 4 seater

My friend paid $44k the show last night for tastefully modded 182HP Polaris Turbo R Ultimate, which actually seemed reasonable compared to other cars at the show, or Bert’s that wanted $70k-$80k for cars with cages, wheels, tires, seats and doors.

I don't understand suede fabric for an off road cars seats and steering wheel???? That's gonna be a pain to clean and keep nice.
the suede has more grip than other materials. Helps you stay in the seat and also better grip on the steering wheel.

Wouldn't all of the epa and carb stuff be handled before you start building , " customers" cars ? 75 of them supposedly ? I understand why people with a early number stay but his act is old and I am no longer interested in buying his product . Sucks because I'm sure I'm not the only one who wanted to see him deliver .

Yep.. I’ll be fine waiting another year at this price and sell them for double. Prices for these things are getting nuts!
Your on drugs ! The sxs industry is going to shit the bed . The market can't handle 70k sxs with 4k a year insurance . It grew because people could finance 25k and pay 500 a year in insurance . Those days are limited .

Why build pre production and not handle the rubber stamp 2 years ago ?

Pre prod was not even out until a year ago.
Maybe this is how long it took? Maybe it took longer than they thought?

I have no idea, but it is what it is.

The components like the tanks were signed off on 2 years ago.

The tank had to sit for 6 months with fuel in it and not leak any vapors.

I assume no deals at the show? I’ve seen multiple adds this week for Pro XPs with a 5k rebate and no ADM.

I did think it was funny they had to included no ADM in the add.

People have been putting $70k into SXS builds for years.

We didn’t think pontoon boats could be 300k and trucks to pull them $100k but here we are.

If you think this will get cheaper, you are on the drugs. :)

Deals yes. Deals compared to pre covid, no.

I know guys that spent low $40k on built Turbo S cars a few years ago and my friend got that lightly built Turbo R for mid $40k. Same spec of car just newer. Seems like a deal to me, and looked better and was cheaper than all the other ones there.

Sure but they are buying a factory product at 30k . Robby has not produced or fixed one unit yet and has no Legal vehicle to sell . The other builders don't survive on the 10 percent they survive on the 90 percent . I'm just saying I'm out as a buyer .

Is your sxs insured for 80k ? Lof is saying people are willing to pat double .
I believe insurance will only do book value. I don’t think you can insure by parts and accessories. I’m not saying I have a 80k car but my car isn’t stock by any means either. There’s at least 10-15 in aftermarket parts that I know if I totaled the car they wouldn’t not cover.

I added 15k worth of aftermarket parts to my policy that are covered on top of the normal valve of the car

Exactly . If lof says he can get 80k where do you think insurance cost will be . I know people paying 2k for coverage now .

Stated value is the way to do it . The Glamis crowd is what is destroying the market . 4 or 5 rides and taco the thing and insurance has to cover the 8k a ride bill . And that's if nobody gets hurt .

I agree with you. Hopefully I will never taco or total mine. We don’t do Glamis mainly high desert ocatillo and havasu. Plus I have my wife a 2 year old and now this season we will have our 7 month old daughter so the card doesn’t really get pushed very hard.

We did Ocotillo once and it's was fun . Havasu is ok as well . Dove springs is my favorite west coast riding . The trails are easy on the kids too ! Are best family memories are the river and desert . I'm sure it will be with your family too .

80 k for a side by side?

I didn’t have that much into my Tatum that I bought as a rolling chassis and put an albins and twin turbo LS into.

Huge money for a side by side in a recession. 😳

Just got back to carlsbad.
Show was big. Crowded. Almost tough to shop.

Speed utv. Robbie and his huge balls were on the upside down car talking.

To be honest, this is not me being a non speed deposit holder....the car is no big deal. Its too late. Actually embarrassing huge booth for nothing.
I dont get it.
Maybe someday.

Sooo, no one has the video up of the Speed snapping the the right rear at the "Sancho"? Or was it on page 46?

Not good, looked leaned, cambered out before landing the jump :(

The car isn’t a big deal you can go buy a $40k SXS from anyone. Not having to spend 20k on it after purchase is the big deal :)

If you don’t get it, don’t buy it.
