Anyone sick? I’ve had a F’in cold for 2 weeks and came on hard again Monday night. Feel horrible. My Dr says it’s nasty and going around. Start feeling better and wham kicks your ass again. Wife has it also, hers turned in Pneumonia and has meds and feeling better.

Got the stomach bug going around on Thursday. Daughter had it a week ago.
Took three days to get back to somewhat normal. Still not 100% and my daughter went to bed last night with a 103 fever (woke at 99). Time will tell if I get that

I had a bad case of itchy watery eyes and sneezing and runny nose for a couple weeks. I just start taking dayquil and nyquil and after several days of that it goes away.

Yes, for about 2 weeks now for both the wife and I plus a family Christmas party is canceled because most of the attendees have the same flu like symptoms being mentioned above...A friend in Tennessee mentions the same there.

Something going around again for a December run sort of like maybe what happened in 2019?

Oh ya, flu went through all 5 of us in our house. We found out after a few days that my 2 year old ended up with RSV, my 6 year old and I both had ours turn into pneumonia. My wife and 4 year old just had a long lasting flu. I don’t think I’ve been that sick in a long time!

I too was the gov's guinea pig for a few years, if you've dealt with the VA you probably know more than anyone of the crazy stuff the gov exposed us to.

On one of my adventures to Africa I was walking through the capital of Uganda, trash everywhere of course like any African city, but I swear, you can't keep plants from growing in that country, something about the red soil and damp weather, plant growth is almost supercharged it seems, anyways I'm getting off track.

In modern African cities, gargantuan Chinese buildings are the hallmark of the skyline, the Chinese know how to go in and get the job done I guess, some look good, others strange, anyways, walking the city I see an unassuming medium size normal looking office building, at the top of the building I read "Walter Reed Medical Center", I pause and think "wait, what? Why would there be one of those in Kampala Uganda of all places".

Some quick research and I find out why; for years the US Gov has been trying to create an HIV vaccine, and I guess Uganda is a good place to do it. Unfortunately, so far, or at least last time I checked, they had only been able to achieve roughly 50% efficiency in human trials. You can probably deduce what happened to half the people in the trial, and I don't mean they died, or at least I didn't read that.

Let's jump west from Uganda, if you want some fun reading look up the 1996 Pfizer Vaccine Trial in Kano, Nigeria. Now let's jump far east, to the 2015 Sanofi Dengvaxia trial in the Philippines.

Vaccines save lives, but to become some vaccine cheerleader, idk........are you on their payroll or something? I swear every time I run into a vax pusher it's like I'm talking to a Mormon on a bicycle, scientologist (fitting? lol), multi-level marketing salesman, timeshare salesman, or some other grimy type trying to get me to do something, then when I'm not buying what they're selling, they hit me with the guilt trip lol. If it's a salesman type and they're really grimy they'll talk about their family and not making any sales or something, or in the case of a Vax Pusher, "you're killing other people by not getting it" LOL. Give me a break, or don't I guess lol.

Everyone needs a purpose or hobby in life, and Vax Pushers have found theirs.

Yep. Same shit here, comes and goes in waves. Been a few weeks here also.
My daughter had it before I did, and hers also turned into Pneonia also and she had to get antibiotics.

We were dumb enough to sit down at table not wiped down properly at Lenwood Panera few weeks ago. Place was packed. Both of us never sick like this,every symptom mentioned in this thread like never before. Wife understands differences of virus and bacteria. This thing is a virus. Since we have moved, we dont have any friends here so it has limited our interactions with people and my oldest is homeschooled and I work remote. My little girl will never do preschool. I gotta say, it has limited our sickness in a big way.

My Dad and his wife have been sick 4 times in 4 months since they moved here. But they eat out everyday and practically live at Walmart!

I'm pretty sure I had Pneumonia a couple of months ago. I was really sick for about a month, my chest congestion, cough etc wouldn't go away, it was terrible.

I swear my house has been sick since October. I got better. They didn't. Turned into infections and they were on antibiotics. I started sneezing yesterday. Was thinking, damn they finally got me again. But feeling good today. Wife and daughter still sounds stuffy and sniffles. So over hearing it and their moods. Remember this is since October!

Its run through our family as well. I came down with it Saturday morning after Thanksgiving with fever and aches then respiratory. Kicked my ass missed a week of work. A month later I feel fine but still have sinus drainage and coughing shit up few times a day. Its some nasty shit.

Unknowingly we gave it to my 81yr old mom at TG. She spent 7 days in the hospital and weeks later still fighting the head/nasal congestion and the cough. Thankfully her lungs are clear still on antibiotics and prednisone. Hits the elderly especially hard hospital was full of sick seniors.

My kid got the same thing.
X-mas eve, she starts complaining. 103 fever. She was above 102 until this morning. Advil took it down to normal. Today she woke up and is back to 98.

That's how I did it. Last Saturday afternoon I started with a sore throat and within 2hrs I was on my above post of meds, Saturday night was brutal with my sore throat but by Sunday night my throat was just scratchy.

Took 9 year old to a white elephant last Tuesday, Thursday morning he came down with a fever. He was out for about 48 hours. Passed it to our youngest and he was in and out of it until Christmas Eve, then he started to feel better but had a cough. Wife got it too and then oldest boy. So far so good for 13 year old, daughter and I. Been eating Vitamin C after every meal.
