Beautiful, love the SS wheels.

Mine was Turbo 400 3 speed with the console and horseshoe shifter. 396 375 horse square port heads with Doug Thorley headers, Edelbrock single plane intake and a Holley 750 double pumper. Ran pretty good for just having 3.73 gears and NMW ladder bars. Of course Hijacker Air shocks.....it was '79

Here's a few Camaro pics. I have many pics of the full build. I took it down to the bare shell, had the subframe powder coated. Replaced every body panel except hood, roof and 1 door skin. Flattened the firewall. Replaced main floor pan and trunk pan. All new grey tinted glass, American Autowire kit. & new Stainless Rick's fuel tank. Took me and Best of Show in San Marcos about 2 years after it was painted. Wheels are Boze ProTour 18x8 front, 19x9.5 rear, AutoMeter gauges in stock Camaro dash
Trans is TKO600 5 speed by Liberty Gears with slick shift kit, suspension is all Hotchkis, Global West, QA1, Baer 4 Wheel disk brakes, Power windows, cup holders 😁
Paint is Mercedes Brilliant Silver last of the polyurathane paint. Mast Motorsports LS3

Over the top Bad Ass!!!! Looks like Mark's GNRS booth but I don't know which year. I can't imagine the time it must take for a build like that!

Swapped out the factory bench for some TMI buckets so I can fit my tall ass in the car:

Threw in some Dakota Digital gauges, which required the ENTIRE fucking dash to be taken out lol:

Shes been sitting for a while because I have so many irons on the fire. Needs the fuel regulator replaced but I’ll be damned if I can find the time… But I’ve got QA1 coilovers and drop spindles for the front (rear is already QA1) and some other little things I need to install. I don’t care for the wheels on the car so I had some custom forged ones made up:

The photo of the dash all spilling out makes me want to run. 😂 Great looking ride!!!!!!!! 🤘

Going to have to do it all over again because I want to replace the factory A/C controller that controls the vintage air conditioning, to a digital controller in its place, and I just love torturing myself.

Someday I’ll get my dream car, a 1969 A12 Roadrunner.

I like the new wheels, do you have any pics of them on the car? What size did you go with?

Good eye, that was GNRS 2015 or 16. He won an award for Best of Show interior for his '55 Chevy....which has an amazing interior. The funny thing was, his car was not officially entered in the show. He just had his car and asked me if he could use my car in his booth so he could get some addl muscle car jobs. Every time the judges came by his booth for another look he'd tell them " you know the '55 isn't officially entered" and they'd say "it's the best interior in the hall 😁

Super nice guy, I highly recommend him. The interior took 5 months by itself. I had seen his work at Good Guys Del Mar the year before and got his card.
When Best of Show had the car ready for the interior they suggested I use their interior guy and I'm like I'm going to Mark Lopez and they said, awesome, he's our guy too 🤣

Niiiiiiice!!!!! Love his '55. Such a great great paint combo on that car. It was the cover car for Super Chevy or Chevy High Performance back in 2016 or '17
before they went under. I miss those magazines. I used to get them all. Got a car or boat mag in the mail every few days
More than once I caught my mail man reading my magazine while he was on his break around the corner from my house 🤣
Tom

Back in the day I used to get the magazines below. If it wasn't for RDP I wouldn't know where to get my "boat fix". Wish there was more actual boat content on here, but lots of great content and can't bitch about the price 🤣 I'll post up some pics of my 33 Daytona soon, Twin Teague Whipple motors. The previous owner was on Insta a lot. I'm sure you've seen it

Hot Rod
Super Chevy
Chevy High Performance
Camaro Performers
Hot Boat
Car Craft
Powerboat

Here's few of my 28 Daytona tall deck. Twin custom 540 BBC Tall Decks built by Coyote Marine.
Built this boat in 2003. Has been solid. Only broke one MSD box, and one rocker arm in 21 years 👍

Hard to beat the body lines of a 69 fastback! One of the best designs of all time for me. What engine was the car born with?
Was factory new white 302 auto.
When I bought it had
351c t5 stick. Supposedly was owed by Tito Ortiz (ufc)
Have not confirmed it..
Now 408c stroker. tremec tkx 5speed. with global west suspension. viking coilovers.
Here is video of dyno..

I was taking Hot Rod mags to school when I was a kid. I couldn't make it through a full school day without a little car therapy. :D

Nice boats! Coyote seems to know what they're doing giving your engine longevity success! Seems like Teague is about as good as it gets as well! I like your style, big boy toyz for days!!!!

I haven't ran a Cleveland engine since the mid 90's but I had several. Back then, we had to use a 400M with the 4v Cleveland heads and spacers to get 400 inches. I'm assuming stroker kits are widely available in 2024? What heads do you run and what RPM?

I bought Tim Meyer rotating assy Centralign Design.”

All competitor assemblies that use small block Chevy connecting rods have a problem aligning to the center of the piston. The Track Boss rotating assembly with the Centralign Design is engineered to correct this misalignment. True center alignment means better ring sealing and less twisting of the piston. A Chevy rod will connect the piston to the crankshaft and produce power, however, you may leave power on the table due to the loss of ring seal. Just about everything tim sells I bought..lol..
Crank n rods.
Cp pistons.
Trick flow heads.
Easily made 525hp.. 523 torque at 5900rpm.
There's so much more done to motor..
Can run it 6800rpm no problem...

Thank you sir. I've been lucky enough to listen to folks smarter than me about how to build things that will last and spend a few extra bucks up front to do it right, than
have to rebuild multiple times. Coyote Marine has recently retired (unfortunately for me and multiple other folks on RDP). He's probably built at least 20 or so of those 540s and some of the owners take their motor from boat to boat. Scott and Teresa did many services as well for 25+ years. Great people too.

I've only had 4 boats over 35 years. I still have the 28 Daytona. Don't want to part with it. It's more like a quick go cart than the 33, but the 33 goes over everything well..even wake tractor wakes 😁. And I'm too old to be boatless if I break something on my new to me boat.

53 Ford crew cab... at least parts of it.
Pump gas 496 BBC, T10 4spd, ford 8.8 on a s10 chassis with Camaro front brakes. Its a bit crusty, a bit rusty, and a lot of fun!

Oh yeah, and a carseat in the back for my.bad influence! Go fast daddy, make the tires smoke daddy, make it louder daddy... kid's gonna get me arrested!!!

5.3/4l60 swap. Truck was built and driven around Glendora in the 90's. It sat forever, and I ended up with it. 351 and chrome steel wheels, faded and sun beat. Messed with the chassis, got it straight and did the LS swap on my gravel driveway. Sold it to a guy that makes sheet metal patch panels, hasn't changed a thing. It paid for the concrete for my shop. Was the last really cool thing I've owned.

It’s not exactly a muscle car but it has a CAD 331 V8. Pretty quick and light and fun to drive. 1952 Allard K2 that my grandfather raced for 30 years then sold off. Found it last year.
Was this the one that was featured in Hot Rod in the late 50's or early 60's? Seems I remember reading something about it...not a lot of 331 Cads around anymore. Good motor, and esthetically pleasing to a car guy.

Hot rods started as anything put together by guys to go faster. Dry lakes, streets and race tracks. This is definitely a hot rod!

My 66 Cadillac. It’s been a work in progress but just about everything underneath is brand new. It’s a fun car low and slow.

I can’t do the LS swap stuff. There’s a lot to hack out of a cad to get an LS in it and I’m a purist when it comes to these old classics that were way beyond the technology of the time.

Paint looks nice. Did you have it painted? Which motor? 472 ci or 501ci?

Well no wonder this was a pain in the ass to get out. Looks like sometime in the cars life before me, someone took a torch to the coil springs to get it to sit lower.

Oh well. 2” drop spindles and QA1 coil overs are going in it now.

What makes me laugh is someone took the time to put tubular control arms on the car, but this is what they did for the suspension. lol.
