My 69 that has been a never ending matter, full chassis c6 corvette front with coil over and 3 link in rear and I have everything to put it together except the want to. Fuel injected LS (L92) with a TKO 600 6 speed, Vintage air, rolling on 18x10s in front and 19x12s in rear. Its setting at actual ride height which is 4.75 inches. I tell myself I am going to knock it out but life always gets in the way. I have a 6 year old and 4 year old daughter and I want them to get an interest to help put the spark back in for me.

You're that close and can't find the motivation to fix it? Get it finished and use it to plant the seed in your kids!

I took my son to his first car show when he was 5 days old. My car isn't show quality, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying it and raising my kids to love our awesome car culture. :)

This pic is 7 years ago. Both of my boys (10 and 8) love cars as much as I ever did. :)

Her dad got this car from his parents for his 18th birthday and drove it for a few years, and its been parked in grandmas garage ever since he got married. Before he passed, he gave it to my wife.

Last tags on it were 74ish and everything is there. Sittin in the car takes your breath away, it is a true time capsule.

It is either a 283 or 327 car and 3spd, pretty much a stripper early vette, but she loves that car.

Have actually won with all three in different classes at the same show. '40 ford sedan, '29 ford roadster, and a very rare and most special 1945 REO Speed Wagon that my Grandfather bought new during the War. He had an allotment because he was a farmer. The REO has always been in my family and always been in my name beacause I was named for my grandfather. The truck was a ten year labor of love and so far has been a consistent show winner!

Those are great cars Brian! Don't you have an older convertible dart or valiant or something too?

Yes sir.

I have a '65 convertible Valiant. I built that car over the early/mid 90's. I never painted it. I bought the car from a guy in Hemet the day before or after my high school graduation.

I put a warmed up 360 in it and rebuilt the OG 904 trans. :eek

I also added an 8-3/4 rear and 4 wheel disk brakes off modified parts from a Chrysler Imperial, and control arms from a beat up 340 Duster I found in a wrecking yard. When I did that car, hardly anyone had 4 wheel disks. :) Built, not bought.

I didn't have any pictures on this computer to post. :(

Currently it sits in one of the stalls in the garage and holds down the concrete. :(

For the Dart I have a 550 inch INDY alloy 440 based motor I built years ago, an iron 833 and an 8-3/4.

Lately Ive been thinking about putting a PSI on it. :yikes They just look and sound so radical.

The trend seems to be away from blowers, and more towards EFI and twin hairdriers, so there must be a good reason.

I going to have to agree with you, I looked for years and I couldn't find one decent enough to do a complete resto :(, plus at the time I didn't see much of a parts source for those unless there is now idk.

You can find plenty in the 25-30k range, just don't seem to smart when you are going to ditch everything but the shell? I want to do the ls swap and overdrive trans and build one I can drive anywhere...

Here is our family's Model A. 1930 four door town sedan, Briggs body. My dad bout the car for $75 in 196x something. Guy just asked my father not to turn it into a hot rod. When he bought it, there was a large rock with a rope that you would lower through the floor to use as the parking brake. Shortly there after car was put in storage when he shipped out with the Navy. When he returned home, storage facility was out of business and the car was sitting out back in the weeds. I grew up with this car sitting in the garage unrestored. Had a car cover over it and no floors, so I used to crawl underneath and up to hide or play inside. It had a body off restoration, all original parts and painted back to the original colors. It was a 6-7 year resto some 25-30 years ago!

We also have a '56 T-bird. Restored sage green and white top. Will have to find those pics.

I missed out on a 65 nova wagon project with a complete spare body. It was sold at a estate sale in Havasu. I think it sold for $1500 for both. I was pissed when I found out.

Here is our 55 it rides on a Art Morrison chassis 4 link and coil overs. That is an original stromberg 6 pack that we ran for the last 3 years sitting on a 427 dart and backed up by a Art Carr T400 with a trans brake. The stromberg was just removed and a duel plane intake with a 850 was added to make it more friendly as a driver.

Since we're posting pics of '55 wagons, here's mine :)
Same pic I've posted before....I'll see if I have any more.

IMG_0239.jpg

And my '66 Nova. First car I built when I was 16. Wish I knew where it was, actually sold it to somebody in Havasu in '97 or '98.

1936 Ford 3 Window Coupe, SBC, Muncie 4 speed. Hot rodded in the early 70's. Runs great but needs a trans rebuild. Afraid to take it apart, wanna avoid a snow ball like the next one.

IMG_5211.jpg IMG_5212.jpg IMG_5213.jpg

1965 Buick Riviera GS, mild build 425 Nailhead, SP TH trans, bagged. Took it apart to address a minor rust issue around the rear window and it snow balled into a frame off.

Hasn't been touched since I bought the snow ball this is going into.

The 55 I picked up a year ago. It sat since 71 so I don?t feel too bad not touching it since it came off the trailer.

Some photos of my chevelle street car, got it when I was 16 in 1996, was last updated in 2007, needs to be gone through again.

Engine: 421" sbc, iron heads, pump gas motor (really needs the AFR's I have been promising it)
Trans: Turbo 400, 8" ATI 4k stall converter (built by remac transmission in San Dimas)
Rear End: Chevy 12 bolt, 3.91 gear, auburn diff, (built by diffworks in Corona)
ET @ fontana: 11.59 @ 118mph on 275 drag radial, full trim with chubby driver, need to tune for new carb, hoping to knock on 10's before heads switch :D

This was the first real muscle car I built back in high school. I got it with a 390, then found a 406 engine for it. 427 steel crank and rods, 12:1 JE pistons and a .600 inch lift Sig Earson cam. Had an 800 double pumper on it, with Hooker headers and a couple of turbo mufflers with turn downs. I built the C-6 trans myself also. I had all the clutch drums machined out to fit the max amount of clutches in em, and a nice little torque converter on it. 4:11's in the rear end finished the whole thing off. Yes it was lowered, and I had the whole front end rebuilt.

The gun metal grey color was my choice. NO ONE had that color back in the 70's! Kinna looked like metallic black.

My friend did all the body and paint work. I traded him for a bad ass engine I built for him. It's a 67. You can see we removed the gas filler and this side vents from it. The rear flares were edge finished with 1/2 inch copper tubing. All metal. No fiber glass on this car.

As you can imagine, I didn't loose too many races. This car was stupid fast.

One night on the way home a cop pulled me over and to ask me how much I wanted for it. I sold it to him a few weeks later. It will always be the one I let get away...

Almost forgot my old daily driver
pinto1.jpg

Tell me that has a 302???

I knew a few of those in the day that 302s in them.

The first car I learned to drive in was a 73 Pinto - chocolate brown / tan

Without the V8!
