Good Luck. I quit Oct 2017. I do not recommend the way I went about it. I changed to vaping (which was not a good replacement for me), but stuck to it. Used the Tabaco flavor lowest nicotine. Still wanted a real smoke. Stuck with it. After about 4 days noticed no Tabaco taste or smell. It was a struggle as vaping just did not do it for me. Continued to vape less and less to the point I only vaped once or twice a week, when drinking (triggers). Have not vaped in a year and had no problem giving that up. Done, and actually do not think about it. Others smoking does not bother me. Done.
I tried the hypnosis in the 80's, I did not smoke for 24hrs because of the money I spent, but back at it the next day. Just did not work for me, hope it does work for you.

On second thought to make sure this works you need go in there stone cold sober, 24 hours without smoking after walking around the casino than go to her office , walk out of her office and not have desire to smoke.

I was hammered at a bar with H20SkiTooSlow 2.5 years ago. I bummed a smoke from the bartender, went outside to smoke it, while I was puffing away I said to myself "This is it. It's been 15 + years of this crap. I'm done". Later that night, I peddled my bike home, grabbed the pack I had in my garage and threw it away.

First 2 weeks were a bear (going to sleep was the hardest), but I no longer have cravings and the thought of smoking makes me want to puke.

Its all about will power. You can come up with a millions reasons to quit, unless you actually decide to quit, you never will.

Decide your done and that's it. It's only as hard as you allow it to be. Don't be a pussy and blow smoke up our asses on why it's so hard. It's not that hard. Trigonometry is hard.

Trig is easy.. lol

Was it as bad as taking a swig of beer from a can on the coffee table that was used as an ashtray?
Actually I think it was worse! It was so caked on and dry. I had to drink some water to help get rid of the taste. I will never forget that taste though. I have done the beer can ashtray on accident and that was horrible.

Grouchy non-smoking RD....I'm fucked, If I make it to the end of the week without a ban it will be a miracle. Good luck though, you got this.
Can you wait until we get the new emojis. :p

Good luck Dave! You can do it. I start smoking when I was about 13 back home, until 16 -17 I smoked a pack/day. Get to 21 it increased to 2 packs/day.
I quit when I was 33 (just quit using the brain), my grandfather and my uncle quit smoking before me and using the same method. It has been 15 years now.

In Vegas! At the MGM going to Brad Garrett’s comedy club. One of the members (not sure if he wants anyone knowing) is friends with him so he got us tickets for the club. We walked in and asked fir the lady he told us, and after that it’s important person status and they were willing to put us anywhere we wanted. We chose to not sit in the front because the comics generally tear those people apart at these deals. Lol

I feel you Dave, I smoked for almost 20 years, and tried to quit multiple times with the patch and gum. In the military, you either took a break and went to smoke with the other guys, or you stayed on shift and kept working. Kind of a no brainer when it was that easy to get out of work. Anyway, my secret is the camel snus packets. They’re much more mild than traditional Skoal or Copenhagen, and you don’t have to spit so you don’t have to carry a cup with you everywhere. I’ll tell you that I have not picked up a cigarette since, and I understand it’s not the best solution, but to have another option you should give them a shot. I use the mellow and winter green.

Brad Garrett is a funny ass guy, my partner and I met him after we loaded a person in a helicopter across the street from his house. Really cool down to earth guy.

I smoked since the 6th grade until 50. Tried quitting a million times but once I got drunk, it was only a matter of time.

So I quit drinking because it was causing major problems for me and the smoking just ended. It just happened. I started exercising & enjoying good health and cigarettes just didn't fit in. It's been 6 years and now I can't believe I smoked for 40 fucking years.

Dave, I'll give you one great reason to stop. Blood clots. I am in excruciating pain and almost guaranteed due to smoking. If I am lucky enough to make it through this without a piece of this clot causing a stroke or heart attack, you can bet your ass I will never pick up another smoke again. Do it for your wife and kids. Man I can't imagine not being around for their future accomplishments and life but I just got a serious wake up call.

Well I can’t tell ya if it worked or didn’t? It’s been an hour and a half and I’m not climbing the walls yet so that’s a good sign. At this point I would say it was definitely worth the 500 bucks though.

Stacy asked me and I told her I don’t think I can be hypnotized. That said I walked out of there and I’m not smoking and my shirt is the brightest red ever.. lol. (It’s one of the things she told me was that the color red would be bright and help with smoking).

So maybe I was?

Well I gotta be honest.. the thought of cigarettes have crossed my mind probably 10-15 times, but left as soon as it came. Haven’t had any cravings or unbelievable urges yet. We did Costco and I usually go out for at least one smoke in that scenario.. lol. Still no smokes and I’m not freakin our yet. Even on the patch I’d be wanting a cig by now.

The urges will come and go but that is about the extent of it. Stick with this RD, we’re still pulling for you!

the urge smokes are the hardest to get by ( after a meal, getting in a vehicle, stress moments, and board moments are the killer) when those hit just grab a tooth-pick or a straw and give the jaws something to do) look at Austin Coil crew chief for John force and notice he always had a toothpick in his mouth!!!!You can do this shit man! then just think of all the reasons to kick the habits!!! Good luck and stick with it, It will pass in time.

Just think, if you smoke a pack a day, you just got a $1800/ year raise.

Pack of cigs is 8.72 at my drive thru liquor store. Some days I smoke more than a pack so avg it out at 9.00 (even though realistically it’s more). And it’s 3,285.00 a ya. Factor in the beer that goes with that program and it’s crazy $$. Lol
