Love these mountain cabins
The city of Payson is right there too. It's a cool little town
If only you had a vehicle to go check out hassayampa lake between potato patch and senator highway. Cabins like this with a private lake.

I dont recommend taking a nice vehicle. You will make it but its very tight, 1 lane with pull outs and very bumpy but doable even in a AWD car 2wd car when its dry.
I wouldn't do itWe have Stacy’s Denali.. I’m not real interested in trashing her truck though
You guys really are slipping.... who got that damn sweatshirt?
Prescott National Forest going east into Tonto National to Sitgreaves National to Apache Sitgreaves National Forest is beautiful . Prescott is at 5400ft . Our cabin in Alpine(Tonto National Forest) is almost to New Mexico at 8000ft elevation . Cabins all across are beautiful . Heres ours .

I believe that's the park where "Billy Jack" kicked all the asses! So we took the dog today and by the time we got back down to the square a lot of the shops were closed.. we walked around and love this place!
They had some outside music thing going on in the grass.
Tomorrow we r going to check out some of the lakes..
The internet is very very slow uploading pics downtown. Seems faster at the cabin for some reason.

Love Prescott, very high on our relocation list.
Prescott Valley is closed.Call me when you're bored about this.

To much of a fire risk! That's fine. I need pine trees.
That's not a cabin... LOL...
To much of a fire risk!
In '12 we started looking out here. There had just been a pretty big fire in the hills south of Prescott. That image pretty much made us think twice. I think the pines are good for vacations and holidays, but to us, too risky for a primary home. That said, there are a couple outfits that do fire prevention work. Everything from tree trimming and ground clearing, to plumbing perimeter sprinklers.I've heard that from @Flyinbowtie many times. It's one of the reasons he wants to move!
I couldn't deal with living in the desert. I need the wind in the pines.
More of a log home. We just want you to be accurate.
That's what Havasu felt like to me 20 yrs ago.It strange how it’s a small but medium sized town at the same time. Feels like growing up in 1980’s to me.

I love the trees, but they aren't too far away!
Not one waffle
Kids want to take the dog to a lake and swim.. suggestions appreciated
You could check out the Granit Mountain Hotshots Memorial while you are in the area. It's on my "to-do" list but have not made it there yet.
Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park in Arizona | USA
Located in Yarnell and offering a memorial for the hotshots who lost their lives in the Yarnell Hill Fire.azstateparks.com
I was gonna suggest that, but no way Dave is walking 7miles in the heat.
It's on my to-do list as well.
I’m not walking seven miles anywhere regardless of temps.. I think people forget I’m crippled. Lol
I know bro. That's why I didn't suggest it.
If you haven't seen the movie Only The Brave, you should try and watch it tonight. Its, moving.
I watched it when it first came out
Lynx lake is pretty. Lake used to be dog friendly. Easy walking trail all the way around. Idk now.Kids want to take the dog to a lake and swim.. suggestions appreciated
Mmmm
For anyone is saying this is hot.. this isn’t hot. Lol. Havasu is the surface of the sun right now. We are walking around and didn’t even break a sweat.
Lynx Lake, or Goldwater Lake.Kids want to take the dog to a lake and swim.. suggestions appreciated
@RiverDave is this really your first time coming to Prescott to as a tourist?
Looks like a nice place to escape the heat.
Love the flagstone "turret" on the side of the place. Does it have a spiral stair case inside?
Lynx Lake, or Goldwater Lake.
Lynx is $5. Free on Wed. The Cafe isn't open until Thursday.
Goldwater is $3.
Both are well forested & cooler. Lynx is larger & has a better walking trail.
