Prescott AZ - first time

The snake isn't one of the nasties. That said, if it bit her there's still a chance of nasty infections. The real trip, up in the higher elevations here they have dark rattlesnakes, like almost black. Those F'rs scare the hell out of me!

I've really only been to Whiskey Row a couple times. I have some friends that are bartenders and "bouncers" there though. In fact, one of my buddies does concrete M-F, and bartends at 1881 Friday and Saturday nights. He's an ex-MMA fighter, non-drinker...owners like keeping him around

At 2am on summer weekends, Prescott PD is there on foot, kind of keeping an eye on things. Very rare to have any issues. All the bar employees know each other, and the bars all kind of have the same "rules". On a good Saturday night, the patrons are a huge mix. Hippy locals, flatlanders from the valley and even cowboys from the ranches...all just kind of getting along and listening to the bands play.

RD, hopefully things around my place will be more "normal" next time you come around. Kind of juggling chainsaws here the past couple months

At first I was thinking harmless.. but upon closer inspection I’m not entirely sure?

Either way I guided Stacy back and we ran it over with the car because we didn’t have any tools to deal with it.

SHHH!

Rains all summer. Huge storms. Out of control black bear population. State record is almost 900 pounds. My buddy was chased while bow hunting there. Another friend had his camper door ripped off by a bear while out trout fishing the Black River. Almost no amenities to speak of.

Your a riot . Wifes up there with the girlfriends as we speak . And I do make her take bear spray on her morning walks .

Just thought about this...we locals intentionally sent Dave and his family within a few miles of where that bear attack was here!

Oops! Obviously we don't have many here, and aren't too worried about them.

LOL The Black is awesome. It was a toss between there and Lake city CO this month. highs are still in the 90 at the bottom of blue river so its CO. maybe thats changed with the rain.

We are thinking of selling our Gilbert home and building something in Prescott area. The drive to our Havasu house would be about the same or shorter and be nice to have a place with cooler summer temps.
Will be looking for land/lots and trying to figure out best area for us soon.

Looks like a great time Dave. Thanks for sharing the photos and info for our next visit to town. We certainly need to get back as the only time we were there we were just dropping my mother off at a cousin’s home.
