Desert bash was 60 miles with a 8 beer stop. So @142 miles this should be between 16 and 20 beer stops......

For a ride this long there isn’t gonna be too many stops.. lol. Unless ya want to get back at dark

Has anyone ever used these? They have them on the shelf at the ranch supply place down the street here in MT. Seems like cheap insurance. I usually throw plugs at a sidewall with limited success.

I have not used it yet but have a kit. Reviews seems good, and it is very compact, fits right in my tire plug kit. Here is the issue - it uses super glue and takes about an hour to dry. You need to get CA kicker (super glue accelerator) from a hobby shop and you can be back on the trail in minutes. It instantly dries the super glue.

We tried the Sidewall Slug a month ago. I think it would also work to get you home, it is kinda hokey, but better than nothing.

I don’t really drink and drive, so the sooner I get back to the house, the sooner I can get my buzz on. Stopping every ten minutes so RD can smoke, drink, and pee isn’t a whole lot of fun.

They said nothing when RG towed a competitor at the Baja 1000 so they could finish when RGs race was over.

I never said that you said anything, so I'm not sure why you got so excited. All I said was that Speed finished a race in the US.

I’ll bet you RD is late and hung over the morning of the poker run, if he shows up at all. RD doesn’t do anything early in the am, especially after camping in the desert when he pulls in at 11 o’clock at night.

I’ve also been with Dave when his “badass” Tyrex smoked out Shea Wash 2 different times, that was the latest and greatest too. Everytime it needed a new motor it was going to be the Polaris killer, that didn’t work out too well either.

WMC gapped Dave’s badass Canam also. Basically Dave has never done anything but bench race, repair his junk, and lose.

Yes, they have VCPs. With the tracker they use, they give you 50ish yards variance in either direction of their course map line. The line found was 50ish yards off their course but down in a wash instead of up across the billy goat trails in the hills above the wash. During pre running they realized some people found this line and told everybody in the drivers meeting and email the night before, and at the starting line the day of the race to NOT take it you will be DQ'd. After the first or second lap they saw some racers still taking it so they posted somebody up there and had course markings pointing up out of the wash to the billy goat trail. It got messy at the finish line, I dont think it was handled very well honestly by all involved (racers and promoters), it got heated for sure.

Okay that makes way more sense. 50’ variance is pretty damn good too. Accountability on both sides should’ve been a little better but racers will forever try to outmart the rules. The promoter should’ve had VCP’s along the approved line.
