Did your friend happen to mentioned why his or her college age daughter, has apparently no opinions on woman related issues ?
I find that rather odd for more than likely a very bright young lady.

This is the source of my question. Why not answer truthfully and as a strong , independent, conservative woman (Assuming that's what she is), be proud of it and respond accordingly.
Responding with all "Neither Agree or Disagree" seems to suggest an air of weakness and lacking of strong character. Certainly not suggesting that's the case, just stating how her response could be construed.

I suppose my wife is then by definition "A Feminist", which means, she is in favor of Women's rights on the basis of equality.
And with that I'm in full agreement.

Here's on oddity for you all. My son comes home from school this week, and says they watched a biography on Edgar Allen Poe. He married his 14yo cousin. My son asks the teacher, "Isn't that kinda messed up?"
"Oh no, it wasn't like that. They were in a loving relationship."
My son told me, "I don't care if it was "loving" or not, still pretty messed up!"

Guess the moral of that episode, been some weird people for a long time 🤣

I was rather shocked when I learned that in the 1880's the age of consent in America were 10 & 12, apparently Delaware was 7. :oops:
There's no argument that life expectancies were shorter and living conditions far different than today. At many if not most cases, by 13 or 14 during those times, they'd more than likely be far more life hardened than our current 16 year olds.
I doubt there's little to compare between what we consider normal today vs. normal close to 200 years ago.

Even today you've still got states with a restricted (Age differential) consent at 13 and unrestricted at 16.
Various countries in the world also have by our standards very low ages of consent.

Daughter was failing her first college English class. That was very odd because she had always breezed through English and can actually write very well. She started asking around and it turns out anyone in the class that wasn't righting from the perspective of a social justice warrior wasn't passing the written assignments. A look back into the syllabus of the class made it very clear, the professor is an activist and the focus of his class was social justice bullshit. Anyone not towing the line was not passing regardless of content. I made it very clear to stick to her morals and if she failed that class, oh well, just read the syllabus a bit more thoroughly next time 😂 . She got a big ol' F and I couldn't have been any prouder.

My only weird life experience with cousins was my 2nd cousin on my dad's side. She was about 13, me 11, she talked me into a 'You show me yours, and I'll show you mine' out in the orange grove one afternoon. :oops: Seeing her at family functions was always weirdly awkward after that day. 🤭
My 1st cuz and I were like brothers, he several years older and during my late teens I really wanted to bang his cute wife. 🥰
Well, come to think of it, during that period, my list of ladies I didn't want to bang was mighty short. 🤣

The testimonial of my life in America for the past 75 years would read of me having been blessed with the opportunity to be what I wanted, basically where I wanted and spoiled by the comforts afforded me. In short, it's been extremely gratifying and relatively amazing.

So much so, it causes me to feel extremely privilege and almost unworthy when compared to the vast majority of peoples living on this same planet Earth.

Since the odds aren't in my favor (Good thing or bad ?) that I won't live to see your proposed "Great Awakening" revolution, I'm wondering if there's something, anything, that would aid me in forming a mental image of this existence you, your peers and mentors are proposing ?

In other words, Where and when did this example of human perfection exist ? During what historical era ? When were people, not people yet doing what people do ?

Is the USA perfect ? No, F*ck no, but either is man by his very nature.
Is the USA innocent of all accusations of misdeeds ? No, man sins, the country sins, we're an imperfect species, infested with greed, malice, jealousy, and a predator nature.
We all share an imperfect planet that is in constant geological upheaval and change, just one of billions that exists in chaotic universe, and live with the truth that all of our lives exist at second by second intervals.

If it has never existed, then on what basis will this new USA be formatted and who will be in charge ?

We tear it all down, then happens the morning after ? Are we going to do the entire planet at the same time ? Because if we don't, and we're left weak and defenseless, we'll be instantly preyed upon from outside, which will go nicely with the horrors that will abound within, as society is left defenseless.

So What's the plan, man ????

At 16, the coolest kindest toughest bunch of men I'd ever seen. and lucky enough to learn the Trade from. The trucks, trade, tools, $ all of it. I could do it and it was/is cool.

I wanted to be just like them. You, Kind Sir, did good. Role model. Like many parents Gparents, in laws, good people.

All you hard working men, of like mind, purpose and common belief, Love America, the beautiful. All we want, is normal, and healthy.

Superintendent Mac, Art McFaul, Ruhm Tile and Marble, for decades was the boss. He had worked as a Carpenter, and also in Tile factories in greater Los Angeles. He served in the Air Force, Alaska, WW2. He had great stories.

Mac had a saying about Tile. He would take 2 pieces of 4 1/4 Tile, place them flat, face to face. He'd put his fingers on the edges and squeeze so the 2 flat pieces would rock back and forth. Demonstrating that they were flat tile, that was not flat.

"Trying to achieve perfection in Tile, is impossible with an imperfect product..."
