Wow, released August 10, 2023. Lahaina still burning..
Probably a coincidence with the book release date aligning with the dates Maui was still on fire! Written by Dr. Miles Stone (AI no less). What kind of phuckery is going on here.

NASA's Moon Buggy - Lunar Rover Facts | Science Facts

They designed a lightweight, space-age dune buggy that could fold up inside the tight confines of the Lunar Module. Deployed on the dusty lunar surface, the "Moon Buggy" was able to travel 50 km across the Moon's cratered terrain and carry more than its own weight in moon rocks and passengers.

Jere Jobe was a guy I bought vintage carbs and ignitions from. Brilliant guy, retired from JPL. He actually worked on the rover project. Being a curious young cuss, I asked him the same. He kind of chuckled, "Think about Ikea. Here's the box it needs to fit in, and what it needs to do."

Obviously I don't know if it's on the moon. On my bucket list, but haven't made it yet 🤣 I don't doubt we as a country had the brainpower though.

Until this very moment, I'd never thought of what the response may have been to Paul Revere's ride. Would the townspeople simply laugh? What were the feelings of the masses towards the British?
Certainly wasn't there, but as I've read the story, the troops had already been stationed in Boston and Paul's ride to Lexington, was to carry a message to Lexington that Warren had heard that the Brits were marching to arrest Adams and Hancock.
This was a mission tasked with providing information to more specific people and along with the lanterns to signal by which route them were coming. Paul was also alerting the local Militas.
This was a more specific call to action, based on prior knowledge and observers relaying information.

The MEME depicts it incorrectly giving the impression that Paul Revere was riding up and down the streets, screaming the MEME's creators "We're All Doomed, Wake up and Feel Doomed along with me, I'm lonely in mommy's basement and need attention" ;)

Not super familiar, but I've read that only 3% of the Colonials actively fought in the Revolutionary war.
Today, that would be 3% of 300,000,000+. Too early for math.. :D

So. Say half the country supports Conservatives, the other half, ah, don't. Unsure where the military age male illegals loyalties lay, but I'd say they wouldn't bite the hands that feed them. And that's a very BIG problem. 40,000,000 Big, and growing daily, like a cancerous tumor unchecked. What happens if you neglect to stop a tumor? Yeah, that's right. Death. The impending Death of America.

I'd say that is by design. But Trump said Pussy...

Just a couple of ole coots tossing barbs and insinuations.
Each each thinking we're on a mission for humanity, he the conspirator, me the eternal skeptic. Both encouraging the other to see across the other's veil, neither budging in our stubbornness.

Our beliefs carry the probability of being both right and wrong, yet both being in accord with the belief that "Things are not all they seem".

This isn't personal, so don't try to incite something it's not. I think an afternoon spent indulging in a beverage, chatting with RM would be fascinating, a fact we've both previously shared 👍

There is certainly a struggle of ideology occurring in not only this country, but the world.
Technology in all aspects of our lives is exciting for some and scary intimidating for others.
Some are anxious to leap into tomorrow, others of us are grappling and grasping to remain with what's familiar and gives the impression of being secure.
Some want slow and careful measured progression, others want to race into tomorrow with abandonment.
Some want to live in a compound impenetrable from the outside, some want all the doors and windows wide open.
Some feel we're doomed with we don't do something, some feel we're doomed if we do, do something.

Who's right ? Who's wrong ? Meanwhile the moderate middle is being drowned out by the extremist of both sides desperately vying for support.

One undeniable fact is, if there's a need and an opportunity for profit, technology will be stimulated to create it.
Politicians are using that and creating the need, by mandating policies that support their own agendas and ideology. In turn they get continued financial support from those striving to cash in later.

My first real introduction to the division between political ideologies was when I was 17 and our garage rock band decided to jump in my rhythm guitar player's VW bus and drive from our homes in Tustin CA to San Francisco and see what this Haight Ashbury Hippie BS was all about first hand.
Went from camp fire to some honey's tents in Big Sur, then onward north we trekked.
After getting seriously fucked up and spending the night crashed in a heap with a bunch of musky smelling hippies, the next day we continued north across the bridge to clear away the mental fog bank.
Enjoyed the serene beauty of the Muir Woods, then finally pulled up at some foggy unknown beach and crashed for the night.
Next morning I awoke early, on an amazingly beautiful morning, feeling aware and awake, and wandered down this beautiful beach to take it all in.
There sitting on a rock outcropping was a very pretty young lady of similar age. After making proper introductions, we sat together for over an hour just talking, nothing personal, more about the area and it's beauty.
We were hitting it off as if we were kindred souls having finally found each other, I really really liked this girl and was inclined to believe she had felt likewise.
Finally in conversation she inquired where I was from. I had no reservations in revealing that I was from Tustin, she looked puzzled, so I added that it was in Orange County.
It was like I'd ignited a very short fuse, igniting a bomb that exploded her up onto her feet.
"OH, she proclaimed, from Orange County, California ?" to which I replied affirmative.
"OH, you're one of THEM, you're a --- ARRGGGHH :mad:---- ORANGE COUNTY REPUBLICAN" and before I could utter another sound, she'd spun, leaped off the rock and was gone, headed up the beach to wherever she'd come from.
Imagine learning that about one's self, that I wasn't who I thought I was, but one of THEM 👽🤯.
Of course my immediate shattered heart only wanted to rush home and blame my parents, this was all their fault, how dare they !!!!! 🤬

This was in 1966 and my introduction to ideological bigotry.
