So do we know for sure where the money came from? Was it the wire they were waiting for?

Mike, there was a lot of fraud committed with a lot of evidence handed over to the cops. I am very happy that 29Commander got paid, and I'll be extremely Happy when Kurt finally takes delivery of a check that actually cashes.

That being said I'm not sure this thing is over "just like that."

There's another article coming out in tomorrows News Paper, the guy called me this afternoon for some quotes. I just told him what I witnessed which is basically the first post in this thread, and verbally made a few quotes as well.

I spoke with him later and did mention to him that Tim pulled a miracle out of his ass, and managed to get at least one guy paid, and it looked highly likely that the second person was going to get paid as well.

RD

Let's just hope that the Typical Liberal Media doesn't take your Quotes and turn them into Endorsements for OCM.:yikes

When we bought ours it already had AZ numbers and when I went to transfer ownership they told me the numbers would not be changed, I don't know if there is that option.

there is a whole bunch of people in the boat business that filed BK fuck'd everybody... and now hang clean sheets ...

this IMHO is just another way of say'n buy'r be where...
the guy made it right:thumbup:

do I trust him..i'd buy a boat from him tomorrow if I had money...unless he'll take a check...:D

I will say this right now most of all those in business... if they had to pay all those that they owe today.... they's be out of business tomorrow

in my business, I own the building, the equipment, and all the inventory...not a big shot operation...but free and clear:thumbup:

The big difference in the OCM situation is that this jackass lied about almost everything.

I said this in the other thread....Commander 29 just gets moved up in the scheme to the "guy that may get paid" and someone other dude moves into the "where the hell is my money" slot. I'm happy that he may get his money but I guarantee that some other person just got royally screwed and will be in Commander 29's slot in a matter of time....complete bullshit....:thumbsdown:thumbsdown

Being that the money had to be wired in to pay off the two boats, you are absolutely correct.

So knowing the far reaching power of RDP and how many members are probably talking to other non members about this particular thread, how fast do you think Tim will close the doors at OCM and move on to another state?

Two things come to mine.
#1 Dose anyone know how it went down on closing the doors OCM in Oregon?
"Oregon Custom Marine"

#2 When are the "TM-SUX" stickers going to be on the store front page for sale and how much?

Beware coming to a State maybe near you "OCM"!!!

"Offshore Custom Marine" is used up. Who knows "Out-there Custom Marine" has a nice ring to it?

The marine business attracts more shady characters than the used car business, preying on people who love this hobby too much!

I've seen bad deals in the marine services for decades around here as well.

Here's one interesting info on one that could be worse than Tim ;) http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20141214/NEWS01/141219509

Seen that and much more from closer than I care to admit. Toss in Nor Cal gang members, crooks that worked for SS, loans for boats never built to deceased people. Crazy stuff, only in the boating industry.

That's exactly what will happen. If that person isn't a member of this site and has better things to do then cruise the internet, none of us will hear about it. This isn't over until everyone gets paid. That isn't going to happen.

Same with me AZ lets numbers stay with boat. Most are painted on, so Owners are reluctant to get changed AZ DMV figured out and let them stay.

My old boat was registered in Ca. and when I bought it they didn't change the CF numbers on me either.

I'm in agreement with Steve on this one....if.OCM comes out of this with doors still open, paying his creditors, employees, rent and decent repair work. ....I'd broker a deal ON MY TERMS!!!!! When the sale is completed...we conduct final business at his bank or cashiers check at his bank....then drive to his bank and exchange that cashier's check for a new bank owned CC (yep pay the extra $10.00 for piece of mind) then sign over my pink slip....my 12 y/o boat that has been paid off for 10 years.....
All business conducted during hours banks are open.....

Glad these guys were paid......

Just follow the rules and all should work out..... and also. DON'T TRUST ANYONE......SHIT I'D BE WORRIED ABOUT 50k in cash as well.....

Again....conduct the business at the bank and all should work out......

Seriously??????:yikes

WTF deal with a company (any company) that has this kind of history when there are others that don't??? IMO this kind of thinking in general is why there are programs like American Greed on TV............Fool me once, shame on you.....fool me twice, shame on ME............I'm sorry but in my experience leopards don't change their spots......good luck with this though I hope it works out for you cuz...............we can always use the drama around this place :D

Dogged by a continuing legal challenge, a Lake Havasu City boat dealer spent much of Monday sorting out payments for a pair of customers, who both confirmed they were satisfied with the resolution at the end of the day.

Joe Belt, of California, came to Havasu at the end of last week to resolve a payment dispute with Tim McDonald, who runs Offshore Custom Marine, OCM. McDonald owed Belt $59,000 for a boat he had sold on consignment, and earlier efforts to receive payment from McDonald had fallen through, Belt said.
Getting to Know Us Aug 24

On Friday, Belt went to speak with a Havasu police detective who has been investigating McDonald since earlier this year. Belt and McDonald agreed to meet Monday to resolve the money issues, with police supervision.

“It’s like a civil standby that we do,” Sgt. Kirk Cesena said Monday. “We aren’t involved in the deal; we are just there to keep the peace.”

While it took a trip to a Bank of America branch in Kingman, Belt said Monday he was leaving town with his money in hand and happy to put the dispute behind him. He was also delivering a $40,000 cashier’s check to another OCM customer, Kurt Curtis, on his way home. Curtis said he was pleased with how his deal was handled.

“It was a lot of time spent but it was worth it to finally get the payment,” Belt said. He added that he “definitely” wouldn’t do business with McDonald in the future.

McDonald also faces a pending lawsuit that dates to an investment deal with Gregory Morse from when McDonald lived in Oregon. McDonald owes Morse more than $65,000 and has been ordered to a court hearing next month to probe his finances.

And he also may have a mounting public relations problem on his hands. Online boating forum “River Dave’s Place” exploded over the weekend after the website’s manager, Dave Johnson, called McDonald out for backing out of an agreement and apologized to forum members for defending McDonald until last week.

Johnson said he had a change of heart about McDonald after trying to help Belt and McDonald work out a payment arrangement. After the two had agreed to final terms, Johnson said, McDonald spent all day Friday stalling with excuses about wire transfers not going through.

By Monday evening, a handful of forum threads – which largely panned McDonald and his business, sometimes in graphic detail – had generated well over 1,000 posts since Thursday.

“At this point if he has to meet someone at a bank in front of the cops to get paid… I would say he’s probably not a guy that should be selling boats in Lake Havasu,” Johnson posted to the forum Saturday.

McDonald said during a phone interview Monday that his lawyers and he were planning multiple libel lawsuits based on what had been posted on the forum.

In the Morse lawsuit, the hearing scheduled for Sept. 21 will give Morse’s attorney, Richard Rahnema of Havasu, a chance to question McDonald about his finances. McDonald was ordered by Judge Derek Carlisle to bring a long list of financial records with him to the hearing, including tax returns, banks statements and check stubs.

McDonald has said that he agreed he owed Morse around $65,000 stemming from an investment deal that dated to his days running a boat business in Oregon. The deal was not a boat sale and was tied into another lawsuit that McDonald had filed against a boat manufacturer, he said.

On Monday afternoon, Morse’s attorney, Rahnema, said he had received an offer to settle the debt but that it was a “joke” and would not be accepted. If McDonald paid Morse the debt, Rahnema said, he would drop the case and move to the “next one in line.”

“After you have a (court) judgment, the next step is trying to collect,” Rahnema said. “A lot of people don’t understand that sometimes getting the judgment is the easy part.”

Before moving for the hearing, Rahnema tried to garnish the debt directly from Bank of America accounts listed under McDonald’s business. Bank of America attorneys responded that one OCM account had less than $250 in it and another account carried a negative balance of more than $87,000 as of July 27, according to an Aug. 5 court filing.

I personally know two individuals that got sued (successfully) by a hunt booking agent over on a hunting forum. Even though it's the internet, you still need to be cautious on what you say and accuse folks of.

Note that Tim keeps no money in his account because apparently so many have judgements against him and if he puts 2 cents in the bank must apply the judgement and take the money out. When the judge ordered him to appear in court with statements, this is known as a judgement debtor hearing where he must layout all of his assets. The judge then issues a court order seizing any assets. It can be a shell game.
