For the record, they do have vents. TSC had them for sale for 21 bucks. Labeled as "utility liquid" containers or something similar. Good for petroleum based automotive liquids, lmao. Kiss my a$$ Gov't regs.

I'd be bolting a 2x4 to the floor to make sure I was backed in far enough if It wasnt for the back up cam on this little pickup.

*noted!

I’m pretty sure you’ll be spending a lot more days in warmer climate than me this winter, so I had to do it.

Suck it up, buttercup!

How’s the insulation doing for keeping the heat in Hula HQ 2.0? Bedroom loft comfy?
Itd be better if I wasn't hauling 20lb cylinders. Ya. Hq is all good.

Kalmertons fills em for 15 bucks.

Completed the faux baseboard/mopboard.

I filled the space at the bottom edge of the wall sheathing to the concrete with painter's caulk, then used the urethane base coat I use for my floors to "paint" a wet line 4"tall around the perimeter. Threw flakes at it. It doesnt have any projection away from the wall, so when I put cabinets, etc, they'll be tight to the wall surface.
Itll also prevent and water spilled from getting under that raw edge, and any possible hot metal (if I have to torch something) from rolling under there.

Just finished up harvest for today. Unfortunately just too late to get cleaned up and take the Mrs. out tonight. 24 blissful (ok mostly blissful) years today. When we got married this was our off season.

Weather is supposed to be crappy later in the week. Then I can hopefully get home early enough to treat her to a nice dinner out.

She worked all day hauling corn for me today, so I’ll let her relax and put her feet up.

BTW, pushing near 50% on our corn. All beans are done and still have all the custom corn acres to do yet too.
Congrats on 24. :)
Craziness on the harvest this year, out this way as well. The grain drying folks will be busy for sure. Few will say Thank You but I will. I appreciate the Men who maintain Family Farms. It is what put food on the table that built this country.

Dunno of you've followed the midwest farm tour thread?
Pretty sure he posted pics of the dryer tower and bins at his "little operation".

Dont remember how many bushel, but its gotta be close to 500k total?

May not be that big, but it's a shitton of capacity.....

I thought one was 125k, another was 250k?
Think theres 4 bins, maybe 5? They're all different sizes...

It’s about 600,000 total storage. Yes a 150,000. a 250,000 a pair of 55,000 and a couple small old bins that are still in service. But who’s counting?

Thanks @Carlson-jet for the kind words. A true family farm as it’s me, my two brothers, a b-I-law, and my dad helping out with a couple full time hired guys. Lots of work, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
