Hoping to get going on paint by the weekend.

Got started cleaning up the saw last night. Took it off its custom stand, degreased it, sanded off the rust, and painted it. I bought a gallon of oil based paint and was going to roll it, and bought a rattle can of the same stuff to hit the tight spots with. Last night decided to do a test spray with the rattle can and ended up spraying the whole thing. I'm going to return the gallon today and hit the stand with a second coat. Also took the metal casters off. They do not lock and when you open the saw it slides a foot or so. I'll pic up some hard rubber locking caster to replace them with.

Not sure if the oiler pump is working, will give it a test tonight when I start cleaning the rest of the saw up. It was filthy but I'm not complaining.

I dont like chasing my table across the shop.

I thought about that to, but I'm not a fan of the metal caster wheels to begin with. Was going to order hard rubber ones anyway.

Forced air garage furnace. It'd be kinda nice to not freeze my balls in here once January rolls around.

Gas line will be exposed. I'd rather not have it in the attic.

There's materials that are available to put in the attic space without concealing any joints, but to put black pipe up in that enclosed space isn't code, and generally a bad idea.

Hold the tin up with the drywall lift, pull the track bracket with one hand, slide the tin behind it with the other.

The opening above the door spring is so I can get into the attic to insulate it.
Saved a piece of tin to cover the hole when that's done.

I finished re-wiring the door operator and got the last 2 pieces of steel on the ceiling.

My buddy John showed up to check out progress, and and shoot the breeze after he got done from work.
Then @HydroSkreamin stopped in too..

We made an executive decision to go to the little Mexican joint in Omro and have some supper.


A few margaritas later,....and solving the whole worlds boating problems, I landed back at the hula HQ for a a night cap.

Sounds like theres going to be some late season boating/prop testing goin on on Sunday.

Might try and get ahold of a tad bit bigger wheel to go and run a number in the hula too.....








Mayhaps a 85mph pass is possible????

Hahaha! Yeah. Three weeks behind in the corn storm with no end in sight. Water...er rain specifically is the last thing I wanna see right now. Dry is good. Otherwise I’d come over and play.

Diamond grinding is done on this little project. It used to be the garage for an old lake home.

Owners had it converted into an exercise room after they built this little joint.

If you look through the glass on the front door, you can see Big Green Lake....

Actually, it didn't.

The wind picked up just as I started to run it. Wasnt worth trying. Shes pretty light in the bow, and gets flighty as it is, much less with any kind of gusts....

Should've been a 1 mph gain just cuz its blue.
