Tossed some more framing at the other side. Going to finish the electrical and air rough-ins tomorrow morning.

Got most of the rough-ins finished. 1 wire left to tie into a box, and it's about done.

Few pieces of 2x6 to nail in, and insulate it.

Going to wait till next monday.

I have no idea what I'll need down there.

Is this trip more of an assessment and list making than a repair mission? Getting supplies has to be tough.

Trash bag and duct tape could make for some laughs at TSA.

You will have to check that bag in. No way it will be allowed carry on. Ask me how I know. Never mind. Forgot the charter arrangement.

What's the span on that beam?
22' and change? Its 6" wide, 10" tall 1/4" thick everywhere. Has a 12" wide plate welded to the top flange.

I gave 300 bucks for it.

My building is 24' wide on the outside. I think I cut it off at 23'-7"? So clear span is 22''-8"......

What's about the max span you can put up without having to add additional support?

Ya know, I haven't even thought about my stuff since I've been here?
I remember where I left my pickup. I specifically remember leaving the keys in it, and the windows down. ...

Just in case the battery is dead and the power locks dont work. That way I can get to the hood latch..... o_O

Oh yea....

It's in a heated and locked building... . :p:p:p

Yeah, I had to twist Hula’s arm really hard to go for a rip.

I’ve been trying to get video on both ends of the StressEliminator to figure out which direction I want to take with the center pod over the winter; it’s definitely not staying the way it is.

He and I kind of finish each other’s sentences on this stuff, and this time was no different. I decided around 4 PM after cleaning on it while listening to the Packers whomp the Raiders, that since it’s one of the last nice days of fall with zero wind that I’d better take advantage of the conditions and get that footage I’ve been seeking.

I called Hula and he met me at the launch around the corner from him and had the launch envelope ready to go, and helped prep the boat for launch while I mounted and secured cameras, launched me, and changed a prop.

Ran out of light but got most of what I was looking for. I don’t have a YouTube account but should probably get one.

Not done boating yet, but looks like Thursday will be the next possible day to try anything. The days are getting numbered before the water is hard...o_O:(

I took Tyler to Loretta Lynn's last Thursday and Dropped him off with his Poppy, 2 of his Uncles and several of his cousins. He really enjoyed it, and my BIL sent me a text saying he was outriding a majority of them on the trails. Took him on the 20 mile expert loop and my BIL said only a couple of the entire group could keep up with Tyler.

Tyler made a comment about how awesome it was riding up hills past experienced riders while they were pushing their bikes up the hill.

I went to Indiana and spent a couple days with my mom and picked up that Dayton metal band saw.

I left around 4 am to pick him up on Saturday morning to take him to a race in Warrior, AL. One of the guys with the group pulled me to the side and told me that Tyler was a great kid, well mannered, and well behaved. Told me to keep doing whatever we had been doing as parents. I've had other relatives tell me the same thing in the past, but its great to hear that from someone you don't know and isn't biased.

Here are the pics from Loretta Lynn's. I wish I could post video.

Here are the pictures from the race in Warrior. He didn't fare to well, but no one else performed very well either. I called it Warrior Mudfest 2019. It was so bad they cancelled the 2nd Moto because people were tearing up their bikes.

It was a nightmare trying to get out of there as well. If you didn't have a 4x4 truck and were pulling a trailer, you were not getting out without some help.

So 700 miles in the truck for me on Saturday, left Warrior around 9pm, and had 100 miles left to get home.

Differing to your greater experience --- I noticed in a previous pic you had your air compressor situated with the cooling fan pressed rather snugly against the OSB --- not a problem ?

Oh, I know you probably won't appreciate this, but it pains me to see your elec. panel / breaker wiring so tight and tidy. Seems to be a more modern youthful trend of 'Pretty (form) over Practical (Function)'.
For close to 50 years I taught my crews how to go the long way around (Unless of course it's 500 MCM CU ), keeping it plenty tidy, but far more practical should the future require any circuit realignments. As a matter of fact I had to swap some circuits around on a couple of my sub-panels in order to get my 'Emergency' gen circuits all on "B" phase (My genny is only 120V).
And yes sir, I'm fully aware of what my opinion is worth, LOL  :p :)

There's plenty of space for the air to circulate. Seems the folks that designed it built it in such a way to make it impossible to cram it tight against a wall. The diameter of the tank is wider than the frame where the pump and motor sit.

As for the panel?

There's some slack in there. :D
I hear what you're saying about going the long way around though.

With the sheathing nailed onto the wall there's not much chance of adding anything else in the future.

I have no idea. I found a big ass I beam, bought it and put it up.

I did leave my air compressor on the floor, so you may be barking up the wrong tree.....:p

I was going to move mine and bolt it direct to the i beam. :D

Honestly I was just curious. I have a 40' span and figured that my be to wide, but it would be nice to put one up for a hoist (that I'd probably never use)

Oh, they make i-beams that'll span 40 feet all day long. You'll just probably bang your head trying to walk under it... :D

Got started cleaning up the saw last night. Took it off its custom stand, degreased it, sanded off the rust, and painted it. I bought a gallon of oil based paint and was going to roll it, and bought a rattle can of the same stuff to hit the tight spots with. Last night decided to do a test spray with the rattle can and ended up spraying the whole thing. I'm going to return the gallon today and hit the stand with a second coat. Also took the metal casters off. They do not lock and when you open the saw it slides a foot or so. I'll pic up some hard rubber locking caster to replace them with.

Not sure if the oiler pump is working, will give it a test tonight when I start cleaning the rest of the saw up. It was filthy but I'm not complaining.

Few chunks of osb to nail on.
Forgot to grab the table saw from the house this morning. I'd like to use it vs a skill saw to make all the rips at the top.

Itll just go quicker and it will be a nicer cut.

It's ~5" or so to make it tight to the J channel at the ceiling.
