So we went from winter to summer in 5 days time. Missed spring entirely this year.

Farmers down here haven't planted anything yet, I've heard it'll be a lot if soy beans this year instead of corn due to the weather.
I talked to a friend of mine from just south of the Springfield, IL area a couple days ago. He is usually finishing up with his planting about the time I start. Right now, He hasn't even started, hoping to go Saturday if no more rain, but forecast has a lot of rain for Friday - Sunday. He said his neighbor, a 90,000+ acre guy had 1600 total planted. Not a good situation. I fully expect a shift to beans soon, but history says corn will get planted, but the real question is what is happening to yield potential? Honestly, this is the scenario we need to get prices back to a positive profit level, but at what cost? Pray for the American Farmer!

Does anyone know about electric motors run by battery? I'm looking to do a small diesel (50hp) to Tesla type deal.

I’m not educated enough yet, but intend to soak up some information soon. A good friend of mine that does control systems for some of the more powerful high end EV car motors is converting this ‘47 Chev pickup with a 500kW motor. I’m helping brainstorm chassis and drivetrain. This guy is even more meticulous than me, it’s got the potential to be pretty epic.

PM me if there’s something you specifically are looking for and I’ll pass it by him.

I’ve been in FL for the last week, taking the rest of the week and weekend to work on the StressEliminator.

Have to redesign the pattern for the Seadek as the sheets are not available in large sizes, so we’re having to adjust stripes and incorporate break points that will accommodate the sizes of Seadek available.

Hula is scrambling to make it for the Four Horsemen poker run, I believe he's trying to be a Marshall Boat. Transom is in and tabbed, external transom surface is filled, blocked, and gelled, curing for final block sanding. He did a great job with it.

Currently he's trying to source all of the rigging for the 400R and hydraulics. He's on point....

You'll notice he, tractorsdontfloat and myself have been absent. That's because spring is finally here and we're able to get at all of the stuff we've been waiting to do! It'll settle down shortly, and you'll probably hear more from all of us soon.

Well, you can certainly tell the weather warmed up.

Did Sean get the transom in the boat? Did the corn get planted? And what ever happened with the dredge?
Yes, corn is planted here in central Cheeseland. Not so much the case around the Midwest based on reports I’m hearing. Really looking forward to a much less stressful weekend! Sunshine request has been sent to the top!

Wow, the farm fields are full of water. Feel bad for them.
Glad you got to stop at Hula’s today! Was hoping I could get over while you were passing through as well, but we got lucky enough to dry out enough to plant some snap beans. Enjoy the weekend, and maybe next time you make it to cheeseland we can meet up with the Hula!

Put the kid to work this afternoon. I stuck around to help set the planter, then spent the rest of the afternoon chasing seed and fertilizer for him. There’s a little knob between me and him, he’s not buried to the rims, but dust is flyin.

Had to stop long enough to raid my personal asparagus hot spot. Took all of about five minutes to get this, and I didn’t even get fifty feet from the truck.

Hanging in the front of the camper letting everyone sleep. It was a long day yesterday. Wait, I’m the one who drove. They all slept like dogs all the way here. Time to get up and make some breakfast!

Need to get my fence project wrapped up before it rains... then I was told I have a "list on the dinning room table".

Gotta love long weekends...

Morning all. There’s been no shortage of rain up here. However, it’s shaping up to be a pretty nice day. See how many projects I get done before beer thirty. :D

Wifey wanted the dishwasher replaced because it wasn't draining completely. I pulled it apart and cleaned the screens and also scrubbed up the inside of it. Ran it through a cycle and it now drains completely. Looks like I just converted dishwasher replacement $$ into boat gas $$!

As REO would say, it’s time for me to fly. Ok, go really slow for 10 hours. Great to see the hula shack. Is was very important to make it to my nieces wedding. She was super happy. It was about 31 years ago she came into our lives. My oldest sister adopted her as a infant from South Korea. Awesome young lady. Her new husband seems to be a good guy.

Safe travels, and glad you made some time to divert from the actual mission of your nieces wedding to check out the HulaHut. He’s got immense respect for you and I’ll guarantee you made his weekend.

Throw that thing on the Lake Express and let them float you across the pond!

Pete was up to his new house, had dinner in BC with us. He went and got a couple pics of the sunset. I was ready for bed. Today looks like the best day of the week. Put the glass CC in and go find a place to sleep on the lake.

Mornin fellers.

Pretty sure this is the Camping World guy in Davenport IA that’s been in the news for having too large of a flag per city ordinance. It’s not any larger of a flag than the one at Perkins in Madison WI.

I can tell you when I saw it my heart fluttered.

Shakedown went good. Ran across the big lake for the lunch run today. Festivities this evening before the horseman tomorrow. :)

It's got to have 2 hours of break in before you can really lay the wood. Ran a little 3 blade 25 fury and it is scary close to the limiter at 70.

More to follow once the appropriate amount of fuel has been consumed.

At 4500 rpm, it goes 48-50 mph, and I get 4.25 mpg.....

Will you see high 80's or maybe 90 once dialed in?
