Mooring cover is done.

Poptart offered to buy me dinner for fixing her boat. The "marina" that winterized it for her last fall screwed up the thermostat housing.

It's all fixed up now. Replaced the impeller and refilled the gearcase all while it was on her lift. Splitting an alpha while its head high while standing in chest deep water was a new experience for sure.

Pulled the stat housing and I'm looking at the thermostat. That ain't right

Got it all straightened out and back together. Took it for a quick test drive, all back to normal.


Came back home and dropped hula too back in the wet.

Fox river brewing has live music most evenings.

My buddy sent me a pic of the shit that rolled through here earlier. No wind at poptarts place. My brother has a good sized pine down (16-18"). Sounds like hydroskreamin's place/ wife is good.

Always a flurry of phone calls after a storm goes through. You never knows who needs a logging chain and a chain saw.

Congratulations on the 450!! I loved mine as a work truck, that ought to tow that growing herd of horses just fine.

Changed the oil in poptarts boat earlier today. Ran up to bullheads for a quick bloody mary before the storm hit.
Thermostat is junk. Will replace it in the a.m.

Went for dinner down the street while it was raining.

Then back in the boat so she could practice docking it, and tying lines. After her torn acl last summer, shes out of practice.

I drove and had her tie it up 3 x's, then I played boat bitch and had her drive up to it. Current is fairly quick at bullheads. Not parker quick, but moves pretty quick....

She's got a decent handle on it here. Over by me, the docks are all different. Hopefully next week we can get my program sorted out before the shitshow holiday weekend.

Hung a new aluminum 4 blade on it.

21p spitfire. 179 bucks on Amazon.
It was way under propped before. Some guy sold her a 18p black diamond and holy balls. It fell on its face around 35mph and hit the limiter hard.

She asked for a ski prop and the jackwagon sold her a pontoon prop.


Of course this was all before I came into the picture. Slowly getting her program sorted out.

Has a great cruise at 3k rpm...
Still gets on plane toot sweet. Could probably go up one more, but why be greedy. Looking at the running surface while it's on the lift, 48 mph is good plenty. That boat bottom has more waves than a labor day parade....
