Mornin fellers. Screaming busy at work, but managed to set the hatch on the StressEliminator, working on hatch ram geometry today.

It was beautiful out last night, really enjoying working with the garage doors open, Van Halen cranking, and cold beer tasting so good.

So here's the real story. The neighbor put that together so they can get their developmentally challenged son on the water to go fishing. He's 19, and has the mental capacity of a kid 8-9 years old. Doesnt have much in the way of balance either. I give the guy credit for making an effort. The son loves to fish, so heck yea.

Yep. Had to be close to 10 inches this morning. The drive into work was fun. Nothing like being stressed out before work.

We got around an inch of rain overnight. Looks like the system has moved east over the big lake, and lower Michigan.
I figure @snowhammer is getting a wet ass today. Wonder if he has some inside projects to work on?

No wet arse for me. One of my best investments for work was a top notch rain suit, the bibs being the critical part. We poured a good sized commercial floor. They did find out that the roof leaks pretty bad.

Mornin gang. After a healthy soaking rain yesterday afternoon and last night, farming is at a stand still today. What better to do than make some venison goodies. Did up a batch of dried venny in the smoker yesterday. Time to slice it up!

Poured a floor in a fully restored barn originally built in the 1880's. Reclaimed almost all of the original lumber and anything new they used true dimensional lumber.

Transom is getting installed, and right after, heading up to pick up my new to me boat lift. Tomorrow is going to be awesome.

Heidi was going to tape her phone to the dock and set it free on Lake Michigan. That way we could use find friends and track it the other side of the pond for Sean. I’m sure it would make it before the phone battery went dead. LOL

Trying something new. Got a batch of pork shots going on the smoker. Three different cheese options. Cream cheese, pepper jack and cheddar.

Neighbor and I cleaned up a bunch of brush and trimmed some branches on the island today. Hauled a bunch of trash off of it too. Some kids from up the street had an abandoned fort of some kind over there. There was a mailbox, 4 fold up lawn chairs, chunks of pvc pipe, a blue plastic 55 gallon drum, all sorts of random stuff. Itll take a bunch more work, but we'll get it lookin good.

I climbed up into the crotch of that tree out there and cut off the branches I could reach. One of those fancy pole saws would be handy...

Where all the limbs split off at the base of that tree is about 5 feet off the ground. It's quite a difference in perspective from there to here..

Morning everyone. Corn is planted. Soybeans are planted. Snap beans are already starting around the area. Taters are getting hilled. I think it’s officially starting to seem like we might see summer soon!

So we went from winter to summer in 5 days time. Missed spring entirely this year.

Farmers down here haven't planted anything yet, I've heard it'll be a lot if soy beans this year instead of corn due to the weather.
