Heading to Temple Bar this morning for the first trip of the year! We will be camped at the same beach Prime Cut was on,(over the 4th), just west of Temple Bar. Hoping the wind is not to bad the next few days.

Get the furtherest south point inside the cove of the beach on the west side of the island. It’s the most protected from prevailing’s, I was actually camped on that exact spot back in 2010 when we decided to buy a houseboat, it was one of those nights where it got down to 103 at night and my daughter had a fever. I hope you have no wind! It was windy every damn day for the fourth

Might be out Sunday the 28th but not Sat as of now. I'll post up if anything changes.

If anyone is around Swallow this Sat afternoon to Sunday early afternoon stop by, big silver and black Scarab with red bimini. I'll be beached with my lady, her friend and our two dogs.

Had a good 3 full days on the lake. Wind sucked, but overall a good trip. A/C went out on the way up. A hot drive home.

87 year old dad still a river rat.

Tomorrow we will boat Mead for the first time. From what I can see, wind should be less than 10 mph all day. I’ve got to run into Henderson to buy a fridge and mattress in the AM. So planning to launch between noon and 1300.
Who’s going to be out there. Where should we go first.

If you want to come up to South Cove just PM me, I’ll try to save you a spot to park your truck and trailer! Having a Havasu sized lake all to myself is getting old.

Head to middle point the beach right before to the left awesome beach but trim all the way up when heading to beach. You will beach and your bow will still be in the water nice and sandy!!

That's through the narrows other side of lake about 30 minutes from Boulder harbor.

just saw this, the one right before the island to the left . We were there Saturday and Sunday and both days there were people wake boarding taking off right from the beech and turning around when the person didn't get up right buy us maybe 50 ft. not exaggerating at all WTF!! Not to leave the tubers out there were some of those too particularly in a 29 ft Cheetah real nice guy and boat but his boating etiquette not so much. What happened to common courtesy and sense? Still awesome both days no wind except for the tool that tried to steal my spare on Sunday, I have it padlocked and he still managed to slide it back and fuck up my brackets! He must have not noticed the big padlock what a dumb fuck! Getting locking lug nuts this week. The funny thing is I would gladly have let him use it if I was around and he asked me.....

Scott and I were just talking about this. There used to be the occasional dumb ass, but now it seems to be the norm.

I have a thick cable/pad lock on the spare along with locking lugs. Boaters are definitely not how they used to be.

Tried to catch a guy and his crew at the dock. Like 10 people on the boat and only one helping. She hands me the dock line. Here you go. Tie us up.
I said I don't work here. The amount of stupid is getting worse.

Where do you launch out of?

Boulder Harbor weekend boater first time on 20 years someone messed with my trailer. I always park on the left coming down the ramp by the wipe down lane figured nobody would mess with it out in the open.

He didn’t actually see it, somebody else did and showed them a picture of the guys registration numbers, so hopefully he can find them.

That's where I usually park as well.

Yep, kind of sucks now, I’d only go there if they aren’t there, we took over Gator for the last 4 years, no one ever came in. We are the ones who even named it gator, we called it that because the rock formation coming into it, then we submitted it to google and they accepted it! We recently had google take it back off, so much of a shit show now.
Here is our set up in there for the last few years

We will probably launch at 10 or so on Saturday. Launching from Boulder Bay. I don’t know where all the spots everyone mentioned. Probably go through the narrows at least.

This is gator where they were talking about. Not very kid friendly place . Unless you see people with kids.
There’s a cove next to gator in the no wake zone a lot of sandy spots to beach and hang out.
The other spots I read in hear are on the other side of the narrows passed the virgin basin. There is spots to the left and right to hang out at. More private on that side of the lake.
