Only going for a few days I would head toward Swallow/Gator. Great beach. This time of year it won't be crowded. You won't be burning a day in the houseboat going up the lake.

We will be up that weekend also.

Seeing that we are gonna drop into the 20s this week do you guys winterize your boats? I’m gonna drain the water out of the block tonight. You guy throw anythin in the tank? Do I need to fill the gas tank then throw stabilizer in it?

When I had my house in Henderson I winterized my boat.

I plan on still using it thru the winter I just will make sure to get the water out of the block while is sits. The storage unit we pretty warm while I was in it yest.

Luckily it didn't freeze in those three years. I was just stating that the water doesn't just dry up if it sat for a few months or even years.

All that other heat is still there temporarily. I guess my point is that the average temp kinda matters too. Not a one hour drop below freezing. 24 hours below, yes, but the rest of the day at 40 and 50 is also part of the equation.

Makes sense! First year with a boat and it’s stored in doors. And don’t know how cold the metal sotrage will get. When I was inside it last night it was warm inside. just rather play it safe. Guy that had it before me said he use to drain it.
