Well, first thing I Gotta do is get rid of this off my two decks and plow my driveway out today. Two more feet today and tonight. Then do the same thing over tomorrow. Maybe by Sunday I can go snowmobiling. There talking another two or more feet Monday and Tuesday. These back to back storms kill me. I love fresh powder, but too much is too much.

Spent the weekend in flag and got some brief riding in, I need to spend some more time up there exploring. My wife decided to get a new snowboard/bindings while up there. Jesus those things are expensive 😅. Met some really cool local guys who gave me some "spots" that I wound up going to vs what I had seen online. I can't wait to get the turbo sled for places like there...the altitude is supposed to really make them come alive.

Flagstaff was absolutely epic this weekend though with all the fresh snow etc. We may wind up going again next weekend. I hadn't been to snowbowl during season in a long time...it was packed but manageable.. the lodge restaurant thing was a madhouse and almost like the hunger games to get a table lol..however drinks were reasonable and I had a good time.

I wouldn't ride snowmobiles without a turbo. Most of times I ride I will get into something that blows my mind. On the ride that I posted about having to ride out alone in the dark I was cramping bad and spent. Had two situations I would have had a real tough time getting unstuck alone and that turbo pulled me out of it. That sled was tooned to 190.

It was a small price to pay for the hours of peace it will give me in the mountain lodge bars 👀😄. I honestly didn't realize you could wrap up $900 in a board and bindings...but I saw many that made that look cheap  Her family is really big into ski'ing etc. Thats their realm, I haven't put my feet on a board since I was in High school lol.

I'm heading back to flag Friday-Sunday.

If anyone doesn't already follow Dave Norona on IG/YT etc he has been posting epic video's of the 2024 lineup.

Dave Norana bugs me a little but he takes another forum to serious and gets defensive. I'm sure he is a good dude. Follow Jay Mentaberry and Steve Martin, they are also ambassadors. I have rode with them both a few times. Unreal to watch them.

I'm leaving PHX at 10am for the Flag area, haven't picked my area yet but there's a lot of fresh snow. Planning to ride afternoon, and again most of the day Saturday. Will be up at Snowbowl with some friends Sunday as well (obviously not on snowmobiles Sunday lol) Going to go out in downtown tomorrow night if anyone is in the area and wants to meet up. One of our fellow inmate's daughter works at a great local cocktail spot and I'm sure I'll stop in there as well.

Got to old forge today around 5, brought the wife and daughters so we’re gonna see how this is going to go lol. Sleds everywhere, calling for a pretty decent storm tomorrow night

Random question, but do the sleds break apart that Racedeck/Swisstrax?
The carbides do mark it up but it doesn’t look as bad as i was expecting….i run them up in the same spot so i got extra squares to replace those areas in the off season if it bothered me too much.

If you use roulskis (or similar) on the front skis it leaves zero marks. No marks from studs and no marks from one that has a ice ripper track on it

I think yesterday was the end of my 2022-2023 riding season, will probably add some more photos during the "long summer" 🤣

Tried a new spot based on a locals recommendation... it was a muddy mess getting up there (by the time I made it it was a 4WL situation)... but the locals were super friendly, especially the couple ranchers that stopped to talk to me. Made a couple new friends and scored a place to stay if I want next winter to sled in the area. The snow was super deep and there were a couple cowboys seriously looking for a couple of missing cows on horses trekking through some gnarly stuff... kept an eye out as asked but never saw them. Absolutely beautiful country...couldn't believe I was in AZ still. Lastly I think I may have spotted a possible inmate...ive seen the boat before somewhere.

Got to have a daddy fun day……put on 150ish trail/lake miles with a couple hours of deep snow (12in loose on top of another 10in) playing seeing what my new machine can (and can’t lol) do.

N/a I think. It would easily pull the front end up on command! It was a 2023 model

It’s been pretty much nonstop Storms one after another. Sun came out for three days this last weekend and now we’re getting another storm. I got out for a little ride on Friday but with all the Sierra Cement we had and then it rained on it then froze. we have more snow than ever but very firm conditions. There’s 360° view is my playground. This is just around my house.

This trip probably wraps it up for me this season unless i can squeeze in a upper peninsula trip here in the next 2 weeks. Got home this evening. Town of Webb trails close April 1st and the weather isn’t looking too promising. Picking up the new toon Saturday at the dealer.

I have a feeling I'm going to want to return to Boston next St. Pats since its on a Saturday. If the snow is good maybe I can jump up there that trip and check it out if I can rent or borrow a sled. Glad you guys had a good season! I got the boat out last weekend...was sad for snow time to end...but 8-9 months from now it starts again!

We can absolutely arrange that. I can get you on one of my machines but it’ll be a cat :D lots of rentals in town, mostly doos. For as late as it took to get our season going we definitely made it count!

I may take another snow check slot...if so I will want to move one of my sleds. 2017 gen 4 Skidoo summit SP 850, w 154" track 3" paddles. Scratchers, Ride on cover, pull start which fires every time, linq brackets, brand new carbides, ski's with under 100 miles on them, glove box, Goldfinger throttle. I think it has like 1675 miles on it. Will have all new fluids, its in my garage in LHC now on stands. Has the Skipex wheel kit, that I just installed. $8,500. Clean and Clear Montana title in hand.

I have tried to get to this place 3x over the years, and either it was white out conditions and we turned back, or we got stuck with heavy snowfall and whiteout conditions. The ice formation on the trees and sign were really cool..

Finally got out for a ride last Thursday with my buddies. we just got 3 feet of fresh new powder and it’s the end of March. I think we just hit
Over 600 inches of snow this year so far. Now it’s April 3 still getting snow. I really want to get out of here and go to Havasu soon.

I had more work yesterday getting rid of the snow off my RV garage Instead of snowmobiling this weekend. My son came home this weekend and found cracks in my walls in the living room. We took a lot of weight off that roof yesterday. like I said in my last post, I just want to get out of here and go to Havasu and get the boat out. i’ll come home memorial day and they’ll still be plenty of snow to go riding

Bicep has been feeling good so gave it a shot. The amount of snow Utah has is unreal. First time I could ride anywhere and just let loose with no concern of hitting anything. Just hauling ass.

Whats in the back pack?
It's a Klim avalanche bag. I put my radio, 2 pairs of goggles, and 2 pairs of extra gloves, probe, shovel in it. I try and keep it as light as possible. But all that gear has a reason for being in there. In the event of a burial of someone else you don't want to spend anytime removing the probe and shovel from the sled. You go straight to the beacon which is in a pocket on my chest.

Rode at Whistler, BC yesterday, got up On the glacier and rode back about 40 miles, came across the snow cat that has been stuck there since mid February, ended up getting frozen in the lake, 25 feet deep, they had divers in there putting flotation and everything to keep it from sinking, still a massive job to get it out , amazing day for riding
