I completely get that as mine went up dramatically also.

But I also understand that if the vote to repeal passed, our old policies and old pricing would not have come back because the ACA was in place for so long. As a result, a repeal with no replace was economically worse for you and for me as the old plan would not come back and our existing coverage could immediately be cancelled or modified to our detriment. Repeal was a political move, not a productive rational policy move for the American consumer of healthcare.

So at the end of the day, I accept that repeal alone would not have brought back what we once had before and would have actually been worse.

There was few that understood when Obama Care was passed it fucked us for life on health care.. Because it was mandated and now "everyone" (supposedly) had access to it, that it would never return to the free market system it was before.

health care costs, health care insurance, pretty much everything health care sky rocketed and hasn't come down..

Except some drug prices because of Trump, which he is still working towards reducing greatly.

I don't hate you yet Skidder, I truly believe yore head is only half way up yore ass at this point. 😝

I don't hate you either regi. And I think your head is almost half way out of your ass. LOL :p

You see the problem is today that most people who disagree with each other cant just chalk it up to having a different view or opinion. Its always has to come down to " Well your a fucking racist idiot" or " your a socialist libtard idiot" .

There are allot of people who are like me where we see both sides depending on the topic. Social media IMO has made the divide between the two so big that it has gotten to this point. Just watch the " Social Dilemma" .

So you are still going with the entire Bobulinski interview as being a lie?

BTW, if you take your wallet out near a hooker or in a church WTF do you THINK is gonna happen??

oddly enough, I received a notice from Kaiser a couple weeks ago that my premiums are going down about $150/month for next year, without any real changes to the plan except some copays went up...but not enough to matter much.

All it did was make my head hurt and ended up at the same impasse.

I see it as the Left unwilling to call their own out, plain & simple.

Let's take Joe for instance, a corrupt 47 year worthless POS and a VP that couldn't even make it to the first primary of her own party's election and you and millions of others will pull that lever with no second thought whatsoever.

They rigged the last D primary and they rigged this one, yet you still walk the line. Had you guys at least elected Bernie, I'd have more respect for you and yore friends.

We threw our bomb at that shithole up on the hill, until your side does..................................yore spineless and part of the problem. The problem being the R & D establishment. ;)

“He’s not Trump” is pretty compelling for most.

If that’s not enough here are a few more.

I would like a president who is informed by and listens to scientist.

I would like a president who realizes we live on a globe and that Americans are better off by building and maintaining relationships with long term allies and trade partners.

I would like a president who has a plan for fixing the broken healthcare model we have in this country.

I would like a president who is willing to invest in civic infrastructure.

I would like a president who goes all in on building an energy industry based on renewables.

I would like a president who believes she is president of all 50 states, not just the ones who voted for her.

I would like a president who is willing to take appropriate action to streamline and legitimize the immigration process in this country.

I would like a president who doesn’t spend like a drunken sailor after cutting taxes on the ultra wealthy.

I would like a president who doesn’t think “There are fine people” in a group marching under Nazi symbols.

I would like a president who doesn’t compel my international co-workers to genuinely express concern for my safety and fellow countryman’s sanity.

(How many more would you like)
Voting for Biden because you don't like Trump is like eating dogshit because you don't like broccoli

Some health costs did go up. But there are plans that are very affordable now to the consumer because of the ACA, at least in SoCal. Granted they are not the best plans but they are better than not having insurance. Other things helped also such as not excluding people for pre existing conditions. I think the fine for not having insurance was ridiculous. But that measure was implemented due to the hard put of the insurance companies. They basically said if I have to give a discount then everyone needs to have insurance. They made up for the loss of money with more subscribers.

I'm in healthcare and some of the things I would see the insurance companies pull on patients prior to ACA was down right criminal.

I've got to say that so many people seem concerned about affordable health care has me worried. Everyone talks about which side is going to offer a better health care plan and I don't think it should be the governments responsibility to insure anyone. What I think the governments responsibility should be is to make sure that health care is affordable and not a gravy train for the insurance company's. When I was growing up almost no one had health insurance, when you got sick you went to the doctor and paid for his services and they were affordable. that is where the true problem lies, not in what insurance plan is the best but the root cause is the forever escalating price of health care. If we can make health care more reasonable then we wont need gov. sponsored health care.
While I agree with almost all of this I think we also need to address the Frivolous Mal-Practice lawsuits and Mal-Practice Lawyers while we are at it.

thanks for sharing your POV. Don‘t agree and all you did was reinforce I can’t support the democratic agenda that is currently being played. usually I can support 1 or 2 agenda items, not this time. Zero!

Anything solar requires batteries to store energy for night time consumption - currently renewable energy has a larger negative environmental impact then my most fuel efficient vehicle (that gets 20mpg on the highway). Never want to see a single payer healthcare system. Government sucks as is, no way I want them controlling health decisions.

“I would like a president who is informed by and listens to scientist.
I think he does, but Trump questions the answers he gets. Also Trump dislikes the flip-flopping, he wants an answer and dislikes someone changing the answer two weeks later. Every CEO, CFO I know and worked for has stated the same ‘you get one chance to answer the question and it better be right, if you don't have an answer or know it wait before you answer it’

The president is not a CEO/CFO and I don't want them to ever think they are. A CEO makes decisions based on a very limited (in comparison) scope of priorities that are based on delivering the best return to the share holders (Shareholders taking different forms of course but you get the idea) Trump has not shown a tendency to Question the answers he gets as much as flat out reject anything that is not in lockstep with his own interests. This administrations Covid response was guided by the (political) damage they felt is was having on blue states.

Against that background, the prospect of launching a large-scale national plan was losing favor, said one public health expert in frequent contact with the White House’s official coronavirus task force.

Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner’s team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. “The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy,” said the expert.

That logic may have swayed Kushner. “It was very clear that Jared was ultimately the decision maker as to what [plan] was going to come out,” the expert said.

I would like a president who realizes we live on a globe and that Americans are better off by building and maintaining relationships with long term allies and trade partners.
Excluding China, who else has he pissed off? Look at the Middle East peace, if those leaders were pissed at the US and Trump, they would not be doing what they are with the agreements.

Canada and Germany for starters. And note that we EXPORT twice the amount of goods to Canada as China. Doing business with a few oil producing kleptocracies while ignoring Palestine is not the foundation for resolving a 70 year old conflict.

I would like a president who has a plan for fixing the broken healthcare model we have in this country.
It got worse not better with OCare IMO. Can you share the details of Biden plans that will make it better? I would really like to know what he wants to do, but have not seen any details on it.

I would classify Bidens healtcare plan as radically incremental... Not as far as I would like to see us go towards single payer but locking in protections for pre existing conditions and offering a public option would be a lean in the right direction.

I would like a president who goes all in on building an energy industry based on renewables.
please explain why and details on Bidens plan. I live in a state that can‘t keep the lights on now, and most renewables are not maintaining or producing the energy they stated they would. Electric cars and the batteries required have a huge environmental impact, what do we do with those and the mining required to build those.

He starts by eliminating fossil fuel subsidies... That right there is enough to kick start the renewable industry. On a cost per KW/H solar competes very well when the actual cost of the carbon based industry is factored in. Also note that any argument that includes "Solar doesn't work when its night time or my wife cant watch TV on a calm day just makes the orator look stupid. We will never completely eliminate combustion based energy sources and its ridiculous to think we should even try. We CAN however go a long way towards optimizing when and how they are used.

I would like a president who is willing to take appropriate action to streamline and legitimize the immigration process in this country.
The House and Senate have had years to fix this. Why is this Trumps fault now? Come correctly and most are OK with that, come illegally you go home. I agree those illegals that are working, paying taxes and part of society need a better path, but why is this Trumps fault? What has the House and Senate not pass a bill to correct this?

Trump decided to make immigration one of the pillars of his presidency. He set the tone of the current conversation and NEEDS the acrimony to garner support. There could be a 100% solution on the table and it doesn't get signed. The minute it does half of his talking points go away.

That would be like saying all trump supporters are racists. That for sure is not even close to the truth. I think there are good honest people that are red or blue. Just have a difference of opinion usually on only a few topics. When you break it down. My MIL voted for trump. We only disagree on a few things. One main one of course. LOL

Changed it up a little from 4 years ago....lol 🤣

Not a single (R) I know has ever said “I’m voting Trump because I really like his policy and stance on (insert anything here). It just comes down to “he’s not Hillary” and that’s the whole Trump/Pence running platform.
That's simply not true. I was and still am in support of the majority of his policies he ran on in 2016. Policies like immigration reform, trade equalization, privatized healthcare, and of course economic recovery. Well it's very true I couldn't stand Hillary I also didn't really care for Trump personally but voted for him solely based on his campaign policies and promises.

Historically it is usually by militant leftists.
Think it will be your guys tomorrow?

"My Guys"...?

My Guys have already voted and wont be anywhere near a polling place tomorrow.

I do expect some amosexuals with molle vests and phallic compensation devices to be strutting around. How they are dealt with is the X factor...

Here's the underlying problem today though.
These belligerents are not freelancing.
They are in fact bought and paid for.
This is not a conspiracy theory, it is recorded hard fact. You can go online and read their ads soliciting for paid protesters.
You can not separate the relationship of a dem vote from the reality of TODAYS Dem agenda. Bought and paid for by Soros and his $45 billion dispersement through shell foundations. This is not a theory.
Almost every Dem candidate, or Dem in every position of authority has been paid to some degree through Democrat PACs or foundations for this or that change which are ALL root funded by Soros. Look it up.
BLM and Antifa are merely the frontline media darlings. There are countless groups all splintered off of Soros.
Frankly, the Reps aren’t much better at this point. But Trump is neither of those.

I fully realize that you and the lefties here do not burn loot riot or anything...but,...your party is funded and your leaders are owned by the same people that own the rioters.

Recently it was claimed that 58,000 trump supporters were at the rally in Pennsylvania.
I don’t know if that is accurate but it looks like a LOT of people!
I didn’t hear about so much as an argument happening.
Can you imagine what would happen if 58,000 Biden voters were in one place?

Im not saying you should vote Trump (although I do think you should! Lol)
I’m saying that you’d be better served to fully understand what the Dem party is really all about today right now.

My personal thoughts.. I had great health insurance before ACA, and it wasn't cheap, but it wasn't near what it is now.. My opinion costs went up.. AZ says average costs went up substantially. If there was some cheaper thing that came out of it, I'm unaware.

You know before 2008 I always landed left lower center on all those little political quizzes. Mostly due to my social positions.
Then suddenly I started landing further and further right.
My opinions on topics never changed, the scale did...

Now I’m called all sorts of things like racist and homophobe and all kinds of ridiculous shit, but lumped into “Deplorable Trumpkin”.
I didn’t ask for this, it’s where they put me.
But that ok because I know I’m the same person I always was, it is the left that was required to do that to establish their new radicalism as mainstream.
Fine...have at it...but they shouldn’t be surprised when I don’t stay where they put me! Lol

In my experience good insurance did go up in cost. It had to in order to cover the cost of the less expensive plans. To keep it simple.

Tommy you are on fire today...

I don't typically post political stuff on RDP, and I try to keep it at least someone toned down as the owner.. Make no mistake I think everyone knows where I stand, I just don't go out of my way to be an asshole about it like I do on Facebook or twitter.. lol...

But for the next 24 hrs...

Fuck em if they can't take a joke! and I'll tell ya just about every post you have written I have agreed with 100%.

Something weird to consider most of what 530 has written I agree with as well. A shame the forum had driven such a wedge there, I think you guys are closer on policy than you might imagine.

My Blue Cross goes up every October. Now it’s $860 a month....my insurance guy( who’s not affiliated with my health insurance) says to keep it because it’s a great grandfathered plan. I could put that money towards a nicer house.

The grandfathered individual PPO plan Debbie had when she was sick was the godsend. I had to drop mine and change employers to go with a employer group plan for me so I could afford to pay hers. There was no way in hell I was letting her plan get away or lapse. No fucking way.

It was almost $950 when she passed, but that included a very small life rider.

I have said the same thing, but 530 insists we are polar opposites, and have completely opposite economic, social, and moral views as well as completely different views of what the founding fathers meant.

And so he continues to push further and further from reality to align with his statement as such. :)

No that’s really what I’m asking.
Do you think these riot assholes will show up?

Not sure...

Backing up, there will be riots no matter who wins the election. The nature and duration of them will vary accordingly.

What I am specifically referring to with the Ratfuckery comment is targeted voter suppression... And for the record I include well meaning "Patriots" patrolling the streets out of concern for fellow "Merikans as a suppression tactic. The left does not gain when the vote is suppressed so you can easily conclude which side is more likely to do that. "Trump Trains" tying up traffic should be included in this same category.

I think you’re drunk.
But I’m not judging, I’m pouring my first one now.

There will be riots, I agree 100%.
It’ll be by the same fuckheads doing it now.
There isn’t any voter suppression going on because of patriots in chest rigs dummy.

Switch off CNN immediately.

I believe we are going to see some significant disruption at polling places tomorrow.
