that is some funny shit 😂😂 the problem is everyone thinks if you vote blue you are against guns, boats, big motors, etc.... I truly think the problem we have these days is the right throws a blanket on anyone that votes blue with the libtard name or socialists name. It’s like saying you voted for donald so it’s ok to grab my daughter by the pussy....I know a lot of my republican friends that don’t think that way... just my thoughts

Look at the Democrat platform as it concerns guns, climate change etc... If you vote Dem, you are voting for their agenda. There are no independent Dem politicians anymore. They all vote lockstep with their socialist party these days.

I was referring to the flat out lie in your post that Flake voted against repeal with McCain when in reality Flake voted for the repeal consistently and also tried to persuade McCain to vote in the affirmative in the specific vote you referred to.

The problem with political discussions is that people are willing to make knowingly false accusation to make their point, as opposed to any honest attempt at objectivity.

As a result, political discussions become about as useful as a poop flavored lollipop.......

Ah You're right about Flake. I lumped the two of the idiots together by habit. I'm objective and correct myself when I'm wrong. You've got an odd way to make your argument. You could have just pointed out that flake voted for. But you seem to make some deeper assumptions???? Even so does that change how this mess turned out?

The bigger picture was song bird selling us out for a fake deal that would have led to nowhere as an excuse for his treachery.

Sounds somewhat hypocritical if you’re supporting people who want to take those rights away from you.😊

did Obama take these from us ??? Did the Clinton's take these from us ??? Here in Nevada it got easier for me to buy a gun under Obama ?? they did away with the blue cards we had to get before..... I would 100% vote for red or blue if the person is the best for the Job...

The only reason they didn’t do it was because they didn’t have the opportunity. With a loaded house Senate and the presidency they can.

When McCain came to our monthly political breakfast group to speak he made it very clear even a year before his vote. He wanted to repeal the ACA but they needed to repeal and replace simultaneously so there was no lack in coverage.

As he explained, the R's had the House, Senate and Executive Branch at the time so it seemed like a reasonable position to me?

It seems to be a theme with CA Dems?
“I don’t think that way or support those things...but I vote for everyone that does.”

Rod is the champion of that!

Not sure if it’s a form of self denial?
Maybe some sort of belief that they have to vote Dem no matter what? Maybe both?

Its idealistic but not likely. He knew that I'm sure of it. Every change is a battle. You're fighting from a position of leverage when you have the upper hand. I see his moves as either geriatrics losing his mind or flat out defiance to deny Trump a win. Either way it has affected my family greatly in HC costs that are 2/3rd our mortgage. before 0 care our HC was $640 a month. Now $1900+

It's laughable the pearl clutching over the "grabbem by the pussy". What grown man hasn't said some stupid/funny shit like this to other guys in jest?

I mean, it's not like he's calling black kids roaches or threatened to "put ya'll back in chains"

going to try to keep this as a conversation. Can you address my questions / statements below.

“I would like a president who is informed by and listens to scientist.
I think he does, but Trump questions the answers he gets. Also Trump dislikes the flip-flopping, he wants an answer and dislikes someone changing the answer two weeks later. Every CEO, CFO I know and worked for has stated the same ‘you get one chance to answer the question and it better be right, if you don't have an answer or know it wait before you answer it’

The president is not a CEO/CFO and I don't want them to ever think they are. A CEO makes decisions based on a very limited (in comparison) scope of priorities that are based on delivering the best return to the share holders (Shareholders taking different forms of course but you get the idea) Trump has not shown a tendency to Question the answers he gets as much as flat out reject anything that is not in lockstep with his own interests. This administrations Covid response was guided by the (political) damage they felt is was having on blue states.

Against that background, the prospect of launching a large-scale national plan was losing favor, said one public health expert in frequent contact with the White House’s official coronavirus task force.

Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner’s team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. “The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy,” said the expert.

That logic may have swayed Kushner. “It was very clear that Jared was ultimately the decision maker as to what [plan] was going to come out,” the expert said.

I would like a president who realizes we live on a globe and that Americans are better off by building and maintaining relationships with long term allies and trade partners.
Excluding China, who else has he pissed off? Look at the Middle East peace, if those leaders were pissed at the US and Trump, they would not be doing what they are with the agreements.

Canada and Germany for starters. And note that we EXPORT twice the amount of goods to Canada as China. Doing business with a few oil producing kleptocracies while ignoring Palestine is not the foundation for resolving a 70 year old conflict.

I would like a president who has a plan for fixing the broken healthcare model we have in this country.
It got worse not better with OCare IMO. Can you share the details of Biden plans that will make it better? I would really like to know what he wants to do, but have not seen any details on it.

I would classify Bidens healtcare plan as radically incremental... Not as far as I would like to see us go towards single payer but locking in protections for pre existing conditions and offering a public option would be a lean in the right direction.

I would like a president who goes all in on building an energy industry based on renewables.
please explain why and details on Bidens plan. I live in a state that can‘t keep the lights on now, and most renewables are not maintaining or producing the energy they stated they would. Electric cars and the batteries required have a huge environmental impact, what do we do with those and the mining required to build those.

He starts by eliminating fossil fuel subsidies... That right there is enough to kick start the renewable industry. On a cost per KW/H solar competes very well when the actual cost of the carbon based industry is factored in. Also note that any argument that includes "Solar doesn't work when its night time or my wife cant watch TV on a calm day just makes the orator look stupid. We will never completely eliminate combustion based energy sources and its ridiculous to think we should even try. We CAN however go a long way towards optimizing when and how they are used.

I would like a president who is willing to take appropriate action to streamline and legitimize the immigration process in this country.
The House and Senate have had years to fix this. Why is this Trumps fault now? Come correctly and most are OK with that, come illegally you go home. I agree those illegals that are working, paying taxes and part of society need a better path, but why is this Trumps fault? What has the House and Senate not pass a bill to correct this?

Trump decided to make immigration one of the pillars of his presidency. He set the tone of the current conversation and NEEDS the acrimony to garner support. There could be a 100% solution on the table and it doesn't get signed. The minute it does half of his talking points go away.

I completely get that as mine went up dramatically also.

But I also understand that if the vote to repeal passed, our old policies and old pricing would not have come back because the ACA was in place for so long. As a result, a repeal with no replace was economically worse for you and for me as the old plan would not come back and our existing coverage could immediately be cancelled or modified to our detriment. Repeal was a political move, not a productive rational policy move for the American consumer of healthcare.

So at the end of the day, I accept that repeal alone would not have brought back what we once had before and would have actually been worse.

It takes the house too. Which obviously isn't going to vote in favor of dismantling 0 care. Remember the AZ assholes song bird mccain & flake voted down to end this nightmare out of their own petty hurt pride.

Look at this cocksucker lapping up the drama. I hope he rots in hell.

The only time I voted for a democrat was the last time he ran for reelection (McCain won), I was sick of his bullshit drama.

If you want a good look at a Biden presidency now, look no further than the crap going on in NY. It is a Microcosm of what the country will become. Cop hating; economy crushing policies....Does anyone really stick up for Cuomo and Deblasio???

In regard to the replacement of 0 care. I view it as "breaking an egg to make an omelette" adage.

All we can count on at that point is the tenants of the free market principals and the ideas the republicans have espoused.

It's complex and probably over both our heads but killing it then and there would have given more of a chance to fix this mess we're all in now. It's only gotten worse since then. Our last increase back in 2017 was going to be $1925 a month for a healthy no pre existing conditions family of 4.

We have gone to Christian health share for $800 a month and pay out of pocket for a lot of things which are cheaper in the long run by over $1,000 a month and I lose the deduction since it's not actual "insurance". Shows ya what their real motivation is.

I find it hard to believe that anyone voting for the left would be on a site that revolves around boats that burn fossil fuels. Should you not live by your parties ideals and be on a kayak or SUP site?

BNAG!

As far as I can tell, the Dems are all hypocrites. I have yet to meet one that has the balls to stand by the ideals they want us to believe in.

Can you say Tolerance?

Give me a fucking break already. It's a one way street for those idiots.

I agree 100% that Obama care wasn’t the best by far, Donald has the presidency and the senate so I for sure thought we would have seen something by now.

2016-2018 was the best chance to get anything meaningful done, and that was squandered.
