We just left for a lot of the same reasons. I have only been there for the last 10 years and the change even since I have been, there is huge. Not a place I want to raise my boys any more. They are only four and six so it’s a perfect time to relocate and change the lifestyle.I live in Canyon Lake, CA. I moved there when I was 8 with my parents. Growing up there was the best. Fast forward to now, my wife and I have owned two houses in there and we're ready to move out. I'm tired of the party seen, loud golfcarts playing music at 2am that I don't care for, (the golf cart is your main mode of transportation around the community), the "I don’t give a shit attitude" with some of the homeowners, and so on. Man, I must be getting old .
Don’t get me wrong, being on a lake is awesome. The community has tons to offer with a lake, skiing, wake boarding, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, 16 parks, and a strong community that comes together for the holidays, (Christmas and Halloween are off the chain). I guess I just fully enjoy going to my Parker house and relaxing. It’s so quiet, it’s unreal. Plus, the river is so quiet during the week.
I'll be retiring in La Paz, Mexico and my USA address will be Parker, AZ. Only 20-25 more years to retirement. View attachment 1305277
I’ll also add that after two trucks totaled in my driveway in two years. It was time to move. Not safe to have my kids outside.
