Got the whole front end on it (grill, light bar) less the bumper. Took the bumper to the chrome shop on Saturday and it will go on for the test fit next weekend. I think I sold the yellow truck today. The guy said he would pick it up this coming saturday with a bag o' money. Sure hope he comes through.

Well I went to Schiada this morning to see the progress they've made. They're laying down a filler on the floor to flatten it out for the veneers. Just a couple of pics...

I asked them to repeat it twice...and they told me but I can't remember the name of it. It's some sort of resin-based filler. Veneers should be in pretty quick if they stay on it!! :thumbsup arty2:

one is a mix of a marathon and beginers weekend ( theyll have some short races gear toward new racers and old guys like you.) the other will be just a typical parker marathon weekend.

Progress is slow at this point. We lost another guy at work so my shift has been all over the place which leaves me less time to work on it :grumble:. At this point the insides have been primed and it's currently being block-sanded. No fun. I'll try to get some pics up this week sometime. When are you gonna get to work on yours?!?

I try to put in at least an hour everyday. The work is sooooooo lame. Nothin like laying over stringers blocksanding.. :skull

Thanks for all of the great info. What I MUST have done is have a 7degree strut, v-drive and a drop-thru fin installed properly. I yanked the stock 9 degree Hallcraft strut and bolt-on turn-fin in order to upgrade for a better set. I want those done by someone other than myself. I can and want to rig the rest myself....with the help of the Old Man!! It's gonna be a hoot when it all comes together. I need to get off my rump and take it to Prime for an estimate for those things before I get too deep into the primer. I'm sure I'll be bending your ear soon enough.

I know its been a long time but here is an update. It's back home from it's 2nd coat of primer to be blocked. Next time it goes back, it's getting the transom, stringers and bulkhead painted and flow-coat. I also started taking the paint off with the help of the rug-rats. It came off easier than expected with a razor blade. The paint from the deck, the whole drivers side and the top of the transom came off in about 3 hours. The kids really want to help out on the project. Makes me smile...third gemeration with this boat and they're helpng it get there faster. They really are excited to help on the project!! I can see a faint glimmer at the end of the dark, dark tunnel. :thumbsup
