Not a lounge. Will give a hint it is a small regional airport…..
I'm guessing it is not an airport that has Spirit Airlines...
I don't remember HNL looking like that, but it's been a while since going there.

Not the islands…

Another cool airport to have lunch at is Scottsdale. You can drive there and have lunch or dinner. There are a lot of private jets that fly in and out throughout the day. No airlines just the smaller planes.

Sat in the bitch seat in the Lifter and Beet Cart early this morning. Beet Cart holds 35 tons and is used when the field is too soft or wet for the trucks. Once full it goes to an area in the field where the trucks won't get stuck.

One of the best things we ate on our trip was Focaccia. Stopped in a small place in Rome the first day and it was ridiculously good. Figured I’d try it at home.
Turned out ok, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. A little too much cake though. Somehow i didn’t believe how much olive oil to drizzle on top😳

Kids did great at the BMX CA State Final this weekend! My 4 yo took 1st in balance bikes and my boy earned a State #7 plate. Proud of their accomplishments this season! AZ for the Gold Cup finals this weekend, and possibly Tulsa for the ROC/Grands over Thanksgiving.

Brings back so many good memories, my kids raced for years, it took us all over the country and even to some other countries for Worlds.
Have fun, I miss it.

Turns out it is Paine Field in Everett WA. Much better than flying into SeaTac and direct flights from a couple of areas including Hawaii. There are only two gates and it is a really nice building/setting.
Coming from Anchorage that is a killer option especially if you were already planning on being north of the city. Last time I checked it wouldn't work for me as flying direct to Boston meant returning my rental car to a different airport, may have changed.

Very limited as far as the areas they fly to and from. Mostly Honolulu, SoCal SFO and PHX. There are rental cars but I am not sure on the rental car availability as I had someone picking me up.

Looks good!

Random question have you owned this truck since new?
No, I was searching for a duramax on here about 4 years ago and Andy Holthe (works for DCB) reached out to me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. He was the original owner and was obviously super anal about it. Garage kept paint is nearly perfect, cognito front end done, viper alarm, 5th wheel, rear air bags, electric brake control, alpine stereo with tvs, 22” wheels, k&n intake, chipped, only like 120k miles when I bought it (now it has 138)I know I’m forgetting some stuff. I get more compliments on that truck from random people, it’s a trip. However, probably gonna sell it. I think I found the right F650

Was in Big Bear recently and friends intro'd me to a gal who'd bought a property down their street on lake front.... 3 cabins that she said were the first log cabins built on mountain over 100 years ago... they are all in a row maybe 50' from one another, She's a hot shit designer from LA who renovates keeping historical integrity and then Airbnbs em for income. Has a Rosarito place and one in France as well. Bad ass gal... told me Al capone hid out a bit in one, ha. check out the detail on your larger computer screens. She's got taste and is connecting the cabins making it a compound while keeping rustic feel of the era.

Looks amazing 👍
I'm impressed noticing that the one electrical outlet that's visible is flush with the wiring concealed. Curious if there's a visible conduit on the backside of that wall or it's been routed to that location horizontally utilizing the mortar joint.
This is a major challenge on these types of renovations, especially extremely old pre-electric log-cabin homes, old adobe homes are similar in that respect.
There's a few methods that can be utilized to provide concealment or mitigate visibility, but all are extremely labor intensive and require more knowledgeable craftsmen.

Great question.... she gets dirty on her homes so I bet is on top of such but her mood at present doesn't allow me to inquire heehee... she's buried and gets a bit frustrated on project .... they're all hustling to get done before weather comes as you can imagine. I will forward your comment to her and see if she bites. Wish me luck... she's got a helluva bite!

I'll see if I can't get add'l pics showing how she's "attaching" these 3 very small cabins allowing each to keep its own original character while enabling folks to walk from one to another while staying out of weather. Crucial to proper investment rental compound.
