The annual fall corn maze....
Love the kid pics. Looks like they are having a blast!!!! I wish that we were able to do some camping fun with our son growing up. Sadly that never happened.Boys Camping Trip 2.0 to San Clemente State Beach. Big thanks to @RVR2SNO for letting us crash their annual party View attachment 1286514 View attachment 1286515 View attachment 1286516 View attachment 1286517
They really are having a blast and everyone is dirty and tired. I don’t mean this with any disrespect, but so many people have echoed what you’re saying that my wife and I decided to make some major life changes to make these things happen to the best of our ability. Greatest thing is that this isn’t extravagant, we’re just 45 min from the house and they’re just happy to be outside and playing in the dirt.Love the kid pics. Looks like they are having a blast!!!! Thin to win but Buffs win!

Looking a lot better than the SC game at the moment
I know just by looking at those valve covers
Very Cool . . . what state are you in?Pulled my first graveyard shift for beet harvest. 12.5 million tons of sugar beets will be harvested for Crystal Sugar in the month of October. The beets will be stored at 5 factories in two states.

Not me, relatives have been farming since the 20s. I just volunteered as I have always wanted to take part in the crazy 2 weeks, 24 - 7, beet harvest. The entire area is non stop farming activity. Got to see red diesel for the first time in my life filling the tractors. No way farmers could feed the world without it!I'd personally like to thank you for being a part of feeding us all.
My BIL comes from a corn family…6k acres of it. Their harvest operation is something to see. He’s in the oil industry but every year goes home to plant then harvest. 24/7 operation like you said. Not me, relatives have been farming since the 20s. IdkToday is Thanksgiving in Canada. Since I'm not a big fan of turkey unless it is in a sandwich. I'm making a prime rib. So far out of the fridge coming to room temp:

Wife and I go to a little deli with outside tables. Watching all the folks walking by, it's amazing how they all appear to be in some trance, just staring at their phones, completely oblivious to the world and passing vehicles within a few feet of them.Look closely at what all the people are looking at in pics....
Everybodies addicted now and it didn't take long.... when I comment on it with my "High functioning" corporate worker friends their responses are always pretty much the same..... "Its work".... yup, don't try to tell an addict the truth.Wife and I go to a little deli with outside tables. What I really find strange is when we go sit at this large, beautiful park to eat and watch the youth play baseball, it's no different.
Folks out for a walk on an amazing day, and they can't pull their faces out of their damned phones.
The truth is, it is work. I get 300-500 emails/texts a day. Pretty much the same for everyone on my team. It starts at 4am for my EST boss and ends late with the PST team. I put my phone down during dinner/meals with the family. It’s game on during business hours and late into the evening unfortunately. The pager changed the world. The IPhone F’d it up. I remember the day the company announced that everyone was getting one. It was like an Oprah episode, thinki was the only one with my head in my hands. The choices are simple. Provide the business support I’m paid for, quickly. Or they’ll find someone that will. I’ll keep grinding it out until they pat me on the back and say thanks for everything. I’ll throw the phone, ipad and laptop in the trash that day.Everybodies addicted now and it didn't take long.... when I comment on it with my "High functioning" corporate worker friends their responses are always pretty much the same.....
