Bullets rye isn't bad for the money. Blanton's is excellent. Monkey shoulder is very unique the banana gives it an interesting flavor that just works. Angels envy is very good especially as you climb the pricing ladder. Buffalo Trace is another that isn't horrible for the price. I am a big rye guy. Keep em coming.
Love the taste of Buffalo Trace but that shit can flat give you a hangover.

Had some Jefferson Ocean last night. I like the hint of sweetness at the end. Did a side by side comparison with Jefferson. The ocean is worth the extra money in my opinion.

Had a tragedy the other day. Tail broke of my letter "S" top. Anyone know if they are fixable?

What voyage did you have? The wheated mashbills of voyages 19 and 22 are really nice. Seems softer, and a little sweeter. They just released another… voyage 25, going to try and pick one up soon.

Whiskey Wedensday!

This is a store pick from El Cerrito Liquor. 128.6 proof and has that high proof bite. Lot's of vanilla notes and a hint of banana.

A little rough neat but an ice cube makes it pretty enjoyable

Jazz from El Cerrito had some good single barrel picks. I had his jack pick that was 130 something a couple of years ago.

My whiskey guy got his single barrel pick from Frey ranch in and dam is it tasty! It does not drink like 126 proof, more like a mid 90 proof and full of flavor.

Bars in these parts still having a tough time getting Blantons. But is starting to reappear.
Those that drink it usually buy rounds at $35 a pour.

That’s a great bourbon ! The single barrel rye is also delicious. Super impressed with Frey Ranch’s high proof line .

JD fans?
Anyone had this yet?
Got a taste earlier today.
Has a bit of bite neat.
I think one cube would make this quite enjoyable.

Picked up two bottles of Blantons yesterday. $80 plus tax. Got one letter I needed for the set. Bought the other for a friend.

Damn, That’s a score right there. How did you get the 2 on the right?
I've got a good friend that is the beverage director at a high end market. They get a few bottles of the Barrel Proof and 4 Grain each year. She usually calls me when something interesting comes in!

Nice. I’m trying to get the whole E.H Taylor line, hard to do with out spending 300% over retail.

I'm in a quandary........I have an unopened bottle of George Stagg 2020 that I have been saving, 130.4 proof. It cost me a whopping $99.00. I saw the other day at a couple of online liquor stores it going for $1299 - $1499. Might be time to sell

Check the batch # as some go for more than others.

The value will not lose money the longer you keep it. It’s been this way for a long time on the secondary market.
