Man i really hope this is real. Hahaha
This shit can’t be realMan i really hope this is real. Hahaha
What is the ESA?
There is a 2-3 month open hunting season on gators in gator states. FL is almost 3 months, TX is 2…
The only issue in AZ I see is how to kill it as discharging a firearm will be the issue.
With all the fake news lately. I just want something to be true! This shit can’t be real
How come there is no real stories about it? I just saw a video posted on FB filmed in the day time showing an alligator swimming through the channel...with the same pic above saying it was caught...
*edit* - after further reading, the video is an old video of a beaver and the pic of it captured in a van is from a story out of Michigan a while back...so more fake news...

Then you've come to the wrong place, go forth in your quest, and good luck. With all the fake news lately. I just want something to be true!

THey dont need to swim upriver, THEY are all coming down river from LaughlinBecause its internet bullshit. Yeah the gator swam 25 miles upstream in 5 knot current over night to topock. If it was really caught there it’s not the same one. The video is a beaver.
LOL. Who remembers the rattlesnake den pic in Kingman. The same pic of the rattlesnakes was used in social media as being in their town all around US…or the picture from space of the shuttle the second it blew up. People read shit, don’t think and believe it…like driving their teslas to the river…
Seriously, is this legit?
I can’t find anything on gators being under the belle etc? Todd don’t make me sell my shit and start boating in BlytheIt was just a matter of time before they migrated south down river. Google Colorado Belle and why its closed. The footings are sinking from the gators burroughing and making homes in the mud. They are eating all the trout in the area and now the Caddisfly (Trout Food) is out of control. Google Caddisfly Bullhead city.
Mother Nature is out of balance.

she probably didn’t want to scare you!Just got back from a doctor’s appointment. Each contact that we had was ”did you hear the news?” Then I was surprised the wife knew but didn’t say anything to me. Alright which one of you inmates‘ wives spilled the beans?
They would miss and shoot someone. Real men would wrestle him out of the water. The PD should issue a shoot on sight order to all RDP members carrying (person or boat) while in the channel. Adds more eyeballs and firepower to the problem.
Winner gets free boots or a nice purse for the missus.
Just like ufo reports in the 50s & 60s, they tend not to report things clearly when it comes to possible public panic.LOL. The lack of "real stories" about it has me wondering....Not calling anyone a liar, but such a "major event" in Havasu and nothing????
Claremont, I think alberts been gone since early 2000’s now. This wouldn't have happened to be around the West Covina area would it? Can't see there being too many folks with big ass gators at their homes...but I also was never looking
Gators are attracted to human urine. Just a heads up to you channel soakers...
The new MAGA
Making Alligators Great Again
read the whole article that was an April fools jokeIt happened at Lake Powell it can happen at Lake Havsau.
Rangers find mated pair of alligators at Lake Powell in 2016
Rangers find mated pair of alligators at Lake Powell
Since I began writing my column on Lake Powell several years ago, I’ve kept a pretty close eye on the National Park Service’s news releases regarding Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.www.thespectrum.com
Was that an alligator in the Bridgewater Channel?
Social media posts and images circulated this week, describing a possible alligator making itself at home in the Bridgewater Channel. But according to at least one Arizona Game and Fishwww.havasunews.com
My badread the whole article that was an April fools joke
I'm not sure they would have a policy in place that talks about shooting alligators just swimming in the channel.
Gator was caught up by topock this evening. It’s ok to go back in the water now. Lol
No. It’s fake just like the story

I gotta imagine they could set up some bait and lure it in pretty quick?Wish it was buddy.. it isn’t.
They were down at the dog park warning people. There is an internal video of it swimming and everyone that has seen it says it’s a gator.. there was evidence on the shoreline of that type of creature. There is other people that were in the channel that night that saw it and the cops shining a light on it. They were out looking for it. Supposedly there is some big meeting about it here shortly.
That pic in the beginning of the thread caused the cops to call me yesterday asking me where I got an internal police memo.. (I got it off the Fb group page).
I don’t think they are big travelers so if it’s hanging around the channel I think they will catch it pretty quick.
Either some asshole let his pet loose.. or it could be a caiman like Boatcop described earlier in the thread.
I dunno.. I can tell you the city is seriously concerned about this being a tourism nightmare, and I believe that pressure is why it went from “4’ gator confirmed”. To “unconfirmed animal” in the press release.
Either way.. if it is a gator I hope they catch it. If they don’t, it isn’t going to affect my boating at all.. people swim with these things all over the country and attacks seem to be pretty rare.
I gotta imagine they could set up some bait and lure it in pretty quick?
Releasing Piranha into the lake should take care it. It's only one gator. ...or is it?I gotta imagine they could set up some bait and lure it in pretty quick?
Hate to correct you but it is closed because the footings are sinking and the entire first floor was closed and steel I-beams had to be installed to shore up the rest of it. Covid hit and the cost of the repairs made it too much to get a reasonable ROI out of it.The belle closed because it couldn’t reopen after the pandemic.. no gators and footing problems.

I am sure @jeepdog will back this up since he is a BHC local too.
I would assume they would want to be as discreet as possible. A bunch of gator wranglers from Alabama scouting the channel might not be good for tourism lol.I’m not sure what their plan is to be honest..

I think it could be a good thing to be honest.. if they could catch it and keep it at the game and fish place down by the water it would probably make national headlines..
Carefull what we ask for. If Biden Admin gets ahold of this they will close the lake to ICE boats to make it safe for the Gators to swim in clean water.I think it could be a good thing to be honest.. if they could catch it and keep it at the game and fish place down by the water it would probably make national headlines..
Suckers at 3 dunes right nowYep, they need a plan and make it snappy.
