I was talking with a buddy in Florida and told him about this story. He got a good laugh out of it. He says gators don't like crowds and noise. Zero chance it's anywhere near the Channel. He said they can swim many miles in a day if they want to.

I would assume this gator would live to hang down in the cove by 3 Dunes with the reeds or somewhere like that
