I was told to post this photo here. My grandpa who lives out there sent it to me over the weekend. Are there gators there often?

The head looks like it’s sitting to high in the water, like one of the fake RC gators.
I don’t know. Ive seen those things before too but this one you can kinda see the back/tail so that’s why I was curious if it’s actually real or if anyone else has seen it.

Can you imagine if the "gator" is a beaver. The cop would never live it down.

In my world his new nickname would be gator. He would never be taken seriously again. gator toys, stickers on his car and locker. He would never live it down. For his sake I hope he's right.
I would find and have delivered take out fried gator to him in Briefing.

That cop is a very solid cop
Not saying he isn’t, but cop humor can be brutal. I had a partner who went on to become a training officer. He and his trainee had a handcuffed prisoner escape. I cut apart a set a handcuffs and mailed one half to my old partner. Letter from “suspect” saying thank you for letting me go. He got the package in briefing in front of everyone

That gator must have a great dentist, I don't see an overbite.

Still waiting for this mysterious gator to show back up. It's almost like he reads RDP and is laying low until the heat wears off.

You own that blue Lavey right? Beautiful boat. That looks like a cool area of the river too. Minus that fucking swamp creature.

I do, and thank you! Bought it from @Hondo-407 a couple of years ago and couldn’t be happier! We love up up here. Ran from Needles Bridge to Havasu Springs yesterday. Was a great day on the water.

I remember racing my boat at Chowchilla sometime around 1995 . Supposedly there were two Alligators that escaped from a nearby farm & were in the lake . There were uniformed guys with scoped rifles perched around the lake. I never did hear anything more about it, but I do remember thinking about it on the holding rope.

I was talking with a buddy in Florida and told him about this story. He got a good laugh out of it. He says gators don't like crowds and noise. Zero chance it's anywhere near the Channel. He said they can swim many miles in a day if they want to.
