Call Larry Songster at Nordic 928-855-7420. Because of their dealer network they aren't really accustomed to putting prices up online etc..

I'll tell you though, I know the good guy #'s on it, and it's a pretty smoking deal with a 250.

Gotcha...not necessarily interested in the deal, just what Retail pricing was and where it fits with other boats of relative size.

I was referring to the design.. It's a cyclone bottom.. I'm sure for a recreational boat they lay it up a bit heavier then a race boat as your not trying to get every last mph out of it.

Truthfully though Nordic will build one however ya want it. Race Layup, big motor.. Removable cushion with billet foot rests for the observer.. (Race / Pleasure hybrid)

Nordic is doing all kinds of crazy custom stuff up there now. :)

I'd think just carpet, truthfully I never thought to look.. My fat ass wouldn't fit up there. LOL

Again I'm sure they'd do a pad if you want, or carpet, etc..

I like his dash better. The race boats with the center console almost seem claustrophobic to me when I sat in it

300xs will pull a skier into the 80's (just)

should be at least 5 more MPH not set up for a skier

The best part is that hull was designed for rough water, and that 21 will handle ANYTHING Have-a-brew will throw at you:thumbsup:thumbsup

Great layout. Ski locker would be nice. Oh to be in the building mode again would be fun.

Not quiet that fast with a skier.... weve hit about 77 the nordic teams boat is about the same. plenty for marathons. around 86 with out. the big hull seems to like a 4 blade with a skier. if your looking for speed get the 20 nordic and a 300 and youll be in the 90s...

the lay up on these will probably be all glass, the race boats use a mix of carbon fiber. great ski boats.

ours was the 1st out board rigged with this hull. we went a bit heavier for the ocean but not that much different in weight when compared to this because of the interior.

weve been told anywhere between 50 and 80 depending on options, lay up motors, ect... everything at nordic is custom built for your boat. its a pretty amazing set up they got over there

my dads already said this set up is his next boat if not a 28...

Is the good guy pricing a certain number and then doubles a few post later?

I really like what they're doing over there and this thing is making me like what they're doing even more. Badass.

Hey Greg,

Nice to see you on this side of the country;) Most of the wacker Crossfires are 300xs (I can think of 3 off the top of my head, all xs powered).
Of those 3, all are owned by skiers. They are set up to pull a skier (or 2) up from a deep water start on a single ski, often with 2 or 3 "extra" people on board and 40+ gallons of gas. I don't think anyone has set one up with huge setback, and a 30 to see how big a number they can make.

This particular boat is/was owned by "wildone" on here, and was for sale thru Nordic a while back.

Greg, per our private message, call nordic... From what i know 5 or 6 cyclones have been rigged with 300s. different package than the crossfire, same bottom different materials and interior. The one crossfire i know of at parker is yellow and rigged with a 225 it runs low 70s. The other was the one in rd original post, and not sure who bought it or if it was sold with the 300 on it. It had a motor mounted on it for the boat show but had no rigging attached. not sure if they made any more crossfires at this time. i know they are doing some r &d on a cyclone bottom to make it more stable at higher speeds. also they make a 20 ft model that will pull close to 100.

If you want speed order it as a cyclone. If you want a family boat order it as a crossfire. Or they can do anything in between.

again what rd asked what exactly do you want to know? theres only a handful of these boats out there. willing to help answer questions but your kinda lacking on what it is you want to know.

RD........nice to hear from you. If you could get those long gone pics of the Crossfire that would be cool! Ask Thane what a production Crossfire hull weighs if you can, no rigging, no motor. And also, what the Crossfire would clock with a 300XS, not set up to pull skiers, just set up for all around high speed use with two seats that face forward ;) Happy New Year

I think they sold that boat, but I'm sure Nordic has some pics. I'll ask him on monday to see what's what on the rest. :)

from what you are describing my boat is as close to what you would get weight wise to a "production boat" I say this because its carbon skin with a fiberglass interior, we wanted the extra weight for the ocean. An all fiberglass hull probably weighs about the same. And when the motor has been raised with a big prop and only 2 seats we get it right around 86... i would give you the weight if i had it, but when it was built, i asked ross (the original designer) and he said he never thought to weigh it

i know they can make them as light or heavy as you want,i was told the other day the new nordic team boat will only be a few hundred pounds all kevlar construction

Same boat, the crossfire just had a wrap around bench interior in the back, and some other subtle things to make it more user friendly in the cockpit.

For some reason I remembered it being the same deck, but I could be wrong. Nordic has several "iterations" of decks for the cyclone bottom available.. Including one with Canopies.

They have changed Prime Time's deck at least once that I know of.

I get it now. On Nordics site they offer a Crossfire and an SR which I assume is for Ski Racer. I would like to know the hull weight and rough 300XS top speed for the Crossfire, recreation layup. Thanks RD

Greg I know these boats better then probably anyone on the boards so listen to me or call Nordic.

They make a 20 cyclone sr that is an outboard only. Very light very fast. 2 seats ect...

They also make a 21 cyclone sr that can be done as an out board or a stern drive, they have a plug they insert in the deck mold to make it an outboard well at the back. Basically this is a race version of the two boats. Again same bottom right now same deck.... They are supposedly developing another bottom for the outboard version to add a little more stability at high speeds. But from the naked eye it will all look the same.

From the 21 cyclone mold they can build a crossfire. The yellow boat you posted does not have a wrap around interior. It has 2 seats and a bench, it is a standard fiberglass lay up and a very mild 225. Power steering, carpet stereo ect.... Now as an option you can get the molder wrap around lounger. Basically the crossfire is a production versions of the cyclone race boats set up for family use.

No one has really bought one of these and rigger it bare hull, so far all the 21s have been rigged by Nordic, hence not too many people will have weights ect, because each has been built custom to that customers needs.

Any more questions?

Doesn't the crossfire have a different dash and no center console?

Now it makes sense. From the 21 SR mold they can also build a recreational Crossfire 21 which can include either a wrap around interior or the 2+3 seating configuration but would not have the center console of the 21 SR. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I wonder if a Crossfire 21 set up for speed with a 300XS could tickle 90MPH and still be decent in the rough.

It would be touh to tackle 90 in one of these with a standard lay up. You would see mid to high 80. Garenteed my boat is lighter then a crossfire and it's still heavy in comparison to some others they have built. To hit 90 you'd have to get a Kevlar lay up, super light and really have the seat time to get it to 90. An all fiberglass boat at 90 i would be scared the deck would start flexing and the chime walk would get too much to control. I've got mine personal to 81, Freddy at Nordic and a few others have hit 85 86 with the thing trimmed out to a. Point that I couldn't control it.

These are awesome boats, but they are big boats built for big water. I used mine in the ocean regurily and the hull is solid, I can take it to the river and run high 70s all day. Like I said before if you really just want 2 seats and to hull as get a 20 or Kevlar cyclone.

That's is interesting and a little surprising. They are a pad bottom hull correct?
