Impeller gone bad. I had it happen about 4 years ago. The repair bill ended up at about $4000 becuase of damage to hoses, hydraulic lines, etc. The heads were pulled off my motor and cleaned up. Fortunatly, no severe damage to the motor itself, just a lot of accessories. As for insurance...

Have a friend that has an olderer boat needing a new interior. Boat is a small open bow tri-hull style. I don't think he's looking to spend a ton but the interior is shot. Any suggestions in the Santa Clarita, castaic, or SFV areas?

I wish they still offered the 4.0. I had 1 Cherokee that ran 165000 with just maintenance and our current Grand Cherokee has been trouble free for the 8-9 years that we've owned it (120000 miles on it now). I'm just concerned that the 3.6 may be a little underpowered.

Thanks for the feedback. If we get one of these, it will be just to cruise around town. We really like the hard top with the removable front section. Mileage ratings we saw are 18/22. That's about the same as out 96 Grand Chereokee with the 4.0. We're not planning of any serious 4xing...
