Go out in your back yard and take a picture of your back burner projects. You know, the car under the tarp, the boat your wife hates. Don't show the progress, just what's killing the grass out back.....:grumble:

Did my wife put you up to this. I don't have anything left outside, but I need to make 4 more of these chairs.................not gonna happen for a while (until this car is black). only other "back burner project" is a 76 Honda 550 four super sport. It is leaving next week...or it will be outside.

The slide/waterfall is a heck of a project to take on.:thumbsup
It's different than something on wheels or on water. If you run out of money on this one, you can't just sell it "as is" or part it out.:D

This is the second airplane that I've built for this guy.

Here is the first one for him, and the first one I ever built:

IF its ever done.:p I tried to sell it to buy a turn key car. No dice.:swear Guess I'm just going to have to finish it.

cage is 8.5 with the "new" rules. If I add one bar it would be 7.5. It was built for 7.5 but they have since changed all the rules around in the years I have been fooling around.

I had a nice cactus garden but I smoked it with a spade shovel for more palms. I`ve been urinating in my pool on a nightly basis. Bud Light just foams though and I go heavy on the chlorine. Powder and tablets.

I just realized I have quite a few...guess I better get to working on them

First one is my first quad, my son wants to ride it, I offered to buy him a new one but he really wants to ride "daddy's Quad" so I will be tearing it down and completely going through it. replacing all the wiring and going throught the motor, tranny, carb. also replacing the tires and if I can find a new set of plastics I will also do that.

miscpictures007.jpg

The next one is a mini bike my mom had in High School. This thing resurfaced a few months ago when we were helping one of my moms old friends move. Back then my mom gave it to this friend and she didnt want it anymore so it ended up back in our hands.

these pieces dont carry much monetary value but there is quite a bit of sentimental value. with them.

Then there is my 10' Schiada. I have had this thing in my posession for quite a few months now adn it has just been sitting in my storage in Parker. I finally drug it home and as soon as I come up with a final game plan with which way Im going with it I will begin the resto on this also.

Next up is my Brother's Suburban. this thing has a ton of history. Mom bought it new and pretty much all of us learned how to drive in this thing. It has probably thousands of river trips on the odomoeter (198,000 miles) and still runs well. just we dont trust it in the desert heat. It has been sitting for about 3 years now. but we will be going through it and most likely getting it all tip top and then leaving it out in storage in Parker to launch the boats and whatever else we may need it for out there.

this boat has been in our family for quite a few years now and to be honest we probably wont be doing much to it as the plan for it now is to take it to Big bear and leave it in the water in the summer in a slip. we weont be doing much to it cosmeticaly but will definitely be paying close attention mechanicaly to it.

This boat is my baby. the first boat I ever owned my self. I sold it a couple years ago and my brother surprised me by buying it back from the person that bought it from me. It was not completely to the level that I wanted when I sold it and has degraded some since then. We are still up in the air on what we are doing with this boat as We were goign to sell it. My brother and I have been talking alot about it lately and I think we are going to finally do the complete resto on it like was originally planned. Im really leaning towards NOT selling it as their is a huge emotional value to this boat for us.

Another project I have is to get all these quads up and running again and get them in tip top shape to sell. Other than 1 none of them have been ran in at least 2-3 years. and are in need of some TLC to get them in tip top shape. If anyone is looking for a deal on a quad.....any one of these would be it.

miscpictures016.jpg

Another little project I have is to restore and get my old Go-ped runnign again. It has sene better days and has been neglected for the last coupel years. would be a fun toy to have up and running again.

another little project I have is to get this little enclosed trailer we have in tip top shape, we dont have an exact use for it now, but I can think of many different instances where we would find a use for it. bbasically my ideas are to repaint it, clean it up some with different lighting. line the floor waith diamond plate, new tires, etc......

A Project that is finally nearing completion is our toy-barn/storage/shop. RDs thread in regards to what people do that dont have a place liek this got me thinking and motivated to get this place done. I have spent the last couple weekends (when Im not at the River) down here organizing and arranging things. I think its starting to take shape rather well and am happy with the way its turning out.

We have an auto lift right outside the door and finally got it all set up and working.

The final project (for now) is a 1947 Indian that my mom located through an estate sale, the bike has never been restored and we are the second owner. We have all documentation on the bike and will not be doing a complete resto as its worth more money as an original but will just be doing what is necessary to get it up and running so it can be ridden, using all period correct parts. This will definitely be a fun project and I look forward to doign this one and being able to ride it someday.

That Indian is the bomb!!!!!

Yah, it was definitely one of those finds you hear about. literraly was a barn find that was part of an estate sale my mom and her business partner were involved in. The son of the man that died had no interest in it and wanted it gone.

Yah, thats the only bright side. last time I was without a job I spent the spare time at the river working on the remodel. This time I guess I will work on these projects.
