Well here it is just a couple of days away and not one thread on either forum about the big one.
I know I have lost interest for some reason:rolleyes:but I'll probably watch just because its the last game till next year but it certainly wont be as interesting as if the Bolts were playing thats for sure, at least in my household.
Really dont care who wins it now!:( NSF

At this point I'd like to see a piece of history made and watch Junior get his ring.
I have a Autographed Junior photo from his Sophmore year with the Bolts.

I have having a problem with the over/under in this game. The game dose not intrest a lot of people, I got about 45 peeps rsvp'd for the party. Last year we had just under 60 and we finnished a keg by halftime. I got one keg this year again. I with the small amount of intrest in the game, I may be short on beer. I am gonna take the over and we finnish the keg by the end of the 3rd qtr.:beer

I was down in northern Mississippi last week on a job and thought I was in the Bronx. Everybody down there was wearing NY Giants gear. They done gone plumb crazy over the younger Manning being in the Super Bowl. I'd just like to see the Pats go down, but don't think that will happen.

Disaster of a matchup for TV ratings, Green Bay of course would have been the big one.
Even the Lingerie Bowl was canceled this year!

I got the big tv,the big surround, just hooked up a 200 watt pro audio subwoofer and I can't think of one person to invite over to watch the game. Nobody cares, I don't even really care.

Well congrats on all that equipment. Sounds nice.

We have the same issue. A few parties to go to but right now I think we will just have a regular family Sunday. I think I will DVR the thing so I can watch the newly famous commercials.

We are trying to decide weather to pack up and head to the desert or not.

We all know who the winner will be and the 1/2 time show looks to be less than 1/2 interesting.

I bet all the advertisers who spent close to 3 million per spot wish Green Bay was in it too.

I think the advertisers have been screwed. Had it been Dallas, San Diego, Green Bay, or maybe even Pittsburgh, it might have been more worth it.

I haven't watched one football game all season. One the other hand, if I invite people over I get to make my girlfriend cook up some good eats.

45-23 PATS. Two big markets, team that may go undefeated, I'd say overall ratings will be pretty high.

I’m just ready for the super bowl, FBR, and Barrett Jackson to get the hell out of my back yard so I can drive around town at relatively the speed limit once again.

Got the new 65" TV, HD setup. Then found out this is the first weekend for State Cup for Socal Soccer. WTF. What kind of person would do that?
So my daughters second game on Sunday starts at 3:30, done by 4:30 then a 3+ hour drive home.
Looks like I'll be driving home with the radio off and watching the bowl on TIVO when I get home.

If you think there's any possible way that GREEN BAY, WI could outdraw the freakin' NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS on TV, I'd like some of what you're smoking. There's no interest on RDP because, frankly, you guys aren't the biggest sports fans to begin with and you're not from New York. There's no bigger draw than a CA or NY team being involved in a championship of some sort.

I think any lack of interest is due to the general perception that NE will win by two touchdowns.

Wow, my daughter would be seriously disappointed that she either missed the game or had to carpool with a teammate. I do enough for my kids, they can let me watch one football game a year.

I figured a Manning boy would be in the Superbowl this year; just didn't think it would be Eli.

The consensus appears to be rooting for the underdog. This game isnt about who's going to win, it's about who most want to see LOSE.

Kinda like watching the Raiders. It's the same vibe.

Your right if its a West vs East game but get serious who gives a crap out here about a two East coast teams playing especially when ones favored by 12. Sure a lot of people will watch because its the Superbowl but just not a lot of interest out here unless your from New York, like you said. And WTF
is that statement that RDP people aren't the biggest sports fans??

Well if it is anything like the last time these two teams played it should be a good game. I just hope the GMEN can pull off the upset. Sick and tired about hearing about how great the Patsies are.. 17 - 0 wouldn't mean shit if they dont win the Superbowl..

We're in several $100 pools.
These pools also pay $100 on certain initial numbers drawn.
So far we've hit that and got our bets back.

Would have rather seen other teams in the SB, but it still could be a good game.

Alice has a GF, a smokin' hot ER nurse (single, earns $170K+, size 3,) who is the biggest football fanatic I've ever known.
She'll be joining us for the game,, maybe in Glamis or Dumont and SB party in the RV.
Always a fun Superbowl with football fans in the room.

I post sports stuff all the time, it usually gets very little response, much less than a post about ass moisture or what kind of farts bran makes.

I was eating lunch at Quiznos and some lady comes up to me and says...you know they are out of the playoffs. I said Lady they are all out of the playoffs. Some people are just more than a quart low.

I may wear the hat everyday for next month just to remind people it was as close as it gets and I bare no shame.

Thanks!

The Chargers drafted a damn good corner with a ton of skills in the supplemental draft last year. Write it down, Paul Oliver. Big time skills. McCree was not good in coverage. They have Weddle and Clinton Hart, who's turning into a star at safety. Look for them to attack the corner and fullback position through the draft. Look for them to move up and maybe take a look at Owen Schmitt in the 3rd round out of West Virginia.

To elaborate on the McCree issue, McCree had 3 INTs and 6 passes defensed, compared to 5 and 9 for Hart. Even Weddle, in limited playing time sharing time with Hart, had 1 INT and 6 passes defensed. McCree is a big hitter and good against the run, but he's very poor in coverage. I would also look for the Chargers to bring in a big time safety in free agency MAYBE.
