Excellent. We should all share our stories how we ruined the game tomorrow for the Yorkin Patsey fans. :D

I'm sure during game time I'll find something more exciting to do, like wash my truck or something... It just doesn't feel like the Superbowl...
Heck, there was a lot more talk about football when the playoffs were going on... now it's two teams I could give a shit about.

The Chargers drafted a damn good corner with a ton of skills in the supplemental draft last year. Write it down, Paul Oliver. Big time skills. McCree was not good in coverage. They have Weddle and Clinton Hart, who's turning into a star at safety. Look for them to attack the corner and fullback position through the draft. Look for them to move up and maybe take a look at Owen Schmitt in the 3rd round out of West Virginia.

To elaborate on the McCree issue, McCree had 3 INTs and 6 passes defensed, compared to 5 and 9 for Hart. Even Weddle, in limited playing time sharing time with Hart, had 1 INT and 6 passes defensed. McCree is a big hitter and good against the run, but he's very poor in coverage. I would also look for the Chargers to bring in a big time safety in free agency MAYBE.

I'm marking these down oh great Swami :D NSF

If you think there's any possible way that GREEN BAY, WI could outdraw the freakin' NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS on TV, I'd like some of what you're smoking. There's no interest on RDP because, frankly, you guys aren't the biggest sports fans to begin with and you're not from New York. There's no bigger draw than a CA or NY team being involved in a championship of some sort.

I think any lack of interest is due to the general perception that NE will win by two touchdowns.

I don't think the draw would have been Green Bay so much... the draw would have been Favre...;)

Quite possibly. But, a lot of people, including myself, have tired of the hype of Brett Favre. He's a decent QB that has played a lot of years. He's still made a lot of critical mistakes in big games.

In any case, you simply can't outdraw a NY team on TV.

You're right about Favre... I think Romo is snakebit too in the playoffs...

Got the new 65" TV, HD setup. Then found out this is the first weekend for State Cup for Socal Soccer. WTF. What kind of person would do that?
So my daughters second game on Sunday starts at 3:30, done by 4:30 then a 3+ hour drive home.
Looks like I'll be driving home with the radio off and watching the bowl on TIVO when I get home.

That sucks...it happens to me every year...last year we had 2 games with a 2 hour drive and the coaches didn't seem to be in any hurry....:swear I was pissed...at least this year it's a home game so I will make it back in time to watch. IMO it should be a sports holiday, every other sport should take the day off to watch the game no matter whose playing in it! Best of luck to your daughter in her games today! we will more than likely be putting the first L up on the board. :(

Then how do you explain the Packers & Broncos Superbowl 44.5 tv rating and
the Giants & Ravens 40.6 tv rating. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess your from NY.
There have been sports writers say that a Farve vs Brady match up would have been off the charts as far as ratings, and if I knew how to post these articles I would.

What are you going to come into this thread and spoil the game by telling us the winner....

You know before it starts. :D:D

You're going to go out on a limb and guess I'm from NY? Would you believe I've never been to NY? How do I explain the Packers and Broncos? Wasn't that the first Super Bowl appearance ever for Favre and Elway? Then you compare it to possibly the weakest Super Bowl in the last 15 years. I believe the Ravens opened as a 16 point favorite and won by 27.

Let's put it this way, if you were a advertiser, who would you rather put your $3m 30 second ad in front of, a bunch of people wearing cheese on their head or the entire populations of the states of New York and New Jersey.

I'm excited to see today's game. I purposely have avoided all sports talk on the TV, radio or in print for the last two weeks. I know how favored the Pats are but I didn't want to buy into all the hype. I hope the Giants go out and give a good game. Either team could win and it wouldn't effect me either way, I just don't want it to be a blowout.

It should be fun drinking and eating with my friends either way. ;)

The Lotto .... not so good, but only have to be right on that once!:D

As far as the game, have to see if the ban on predictions has been lifted.

I want someone to knock the miniture teeth out of Brady's mouth.

His smile is just plain creepy. He needs to grow some man teeth.

Well, the drinks are iced down and I have bbq meatballs, lemon pepper shrimp, and nacho cheese in the slow cookers. Chicken enchiladas are ready to go in the oven and the other shrimp tray is thawing out. Gotta still make the guacamole. The new HD set looks good and I threw the game up on the wall in the other room with the HD projector just for good measure.

Who's playing anyway? :D
