Was just thinking of painting or sealing the underside of the deck exposed plywood any thoughts ?

Looking at a 2019 Mercury 150 on a Pontoon Boat and noticed that the paint is coming off right at the point where the lower end attaches upper end. Has any one seen this before should I be concerned
