Ill chime in on this topic. I always get bashed though. Screw it. So here is the deal. I used to build this concrete counters. Retired now. Easier ways to make money. When we first started building the countertops we used traditional concrete. Used rebar for structural support. Shit...
Looks like Brad pitt went to Span Ranch. Span Ranch is in Chatsworth where western movies were made. Mason and gang moved into the Ranch and during that time killed Sharon Tate. As a kid we would hike and explore that whole area. There were some creepy caves we would climb into, get high...
I apologize if I offended anybody here that wasn't my intention. Since this is what I used to do for a living. I felt it necessary to speak up.
It's tough for me to sit back and watch people get screwed by pool builders and worthless contractors.

Your the first to get the Nick name!!!!!! Ya. Ill keep my mouth shut about lifters, camshafts, boating on lake Tahoe, building houses in Havasu. But when I comes to this....I voice my opinion. Its all good.
I Dont know why? Its code. Someone else makes the rules. The problem here is, ya he might have coverage, but its with a stucco mix. Not strong. Code is 4500 psi mix design. I see it all the time. They will flash the rebar/lath with 4500 and then use their texture mix/stucco mix to get the...
Well...I'm a pool guy and waterfall guy. License Contractor. Besides that lath was tide up tight to the rebar. They should of used dobies or chairs. #3 rebar needs 1.5" coverage on both sides. #4 needs 2" coverage. All 4500 mix. It's like pouring a driveway and leaving the wire mesh or...
Lid is done as far as the 4500 psi concrete has been placed. The stucco/carve mix is no way near that strong. I dont care how much rebar is in the pool. Proper placement of the concrete if very important. We need rebar and concrete to work together for a wall to be structural.
Lets do...
In know. It sounds like that. But this is what I use to do for a living. I see this shit every day, so I can look at a photo and just tell. I dont build them anymore. Just repair them. Im just very passionate about the industry and disappointed that contractors and inspectors dont do their...
I bet if your engineer went out to look at it when its was steeled, and then now after the concrete has been placed, he might have a problem. You can check your engineering. Its in your permit pack. Im pretty sure that lid is specd out to be 6" thick and 4500 Psi concrete. It sure doesn't...
They will just close down the store. The Walmart in North Las Vegas closed shut its doors because of this shit. And now honest people have to drive farther away to shop.
