This started out to be a cool pool building post.
Ends up to be a bashing post

Start a new one with up dated pictures.
Looks like a nice pool being built

I apologize if I offended anybody here that wasn't my intention. Since this is what I used to do for a living. I felt it necessary to speak up.

It's tough for me to sit back and watch people get screwed by pool builders and worthless contractors.

No one is getting screwed here. This is our design, overseen by my contractor who has built pools for 20 years and my engineer who approves over 600 pool designs a year. This build is far from complete.

A few more photos. The bar is in background about 12’ long with steps up then into the spa. Inside low loltahe lighting, 200 fiber optics from ceiling, stainless bar we’ll hold 50lb lce, U Line bar frig, 60” HDTV.

In next week or two we will begin on a
patio cover area that will be about 24’ x35’. It will have a u shaped counter top cooking area. That area will include a Trager smoker, Bull 32” bbq, U Line beverage center, 238lb a day ice machine, and a sink.

An update, installing the coping today, will be stamped lightly and colored to match grotto/Plaster. Huge BBQ area being built this week with 2,600 of decking by Artistic Pavers Steplock. The our patio cover about 24' X 26' with 6 laser cut panels. Deck photo is the design we will have.

Coping is done, they will wash off top due today. It has a light stamping as well as the bar top.

Final electrical and plumbing work back at the bar and then final inspection by building inspector prior to plaster .

Few other touch up details this week.

Coping is drying and will lighten up a bit so it matches the central color of the grotto.

Second photo is working from the secret entrance to the grotto down into the bar area and spa. Left so that photos with the TV will be at the far end is the spa. All of what appears to be wires hanging down are fiber optics that will be trimmed as soon.

there’s 200 of them so it looks like stars at night. The foot square hole in the bottom of the bar floor will have a grate on top.

it’s a sump pump system that pumps in to the house sewer system. you could even wash the bar down in back if you like and it all gets pumped out .

Plaster finally over the next 3 days, pebble
Sand in wet deck and beige plaster with 13 bags of quartz for the main portion of the pool. Just put under bar lights in today that’s the portion that will see water that showing.

Last photo is a beautiful sunset over Las Vegas tonight we had a mini monsoon come through and the temperature went down to 76°.

In Las Vegas about 1 mile from Rhodes Ranch. It’s in a development built by Pardee homes called Meridian.

Got a deal on the house when I bought it last year it was one of five left out of 96 homes they build over about 16 months, but they bought the land 10 years ago from BLM for dirt cheap.

Decent size homes on the large lots for a low-end of quality and now start at 700,000+ options and you’re probably going to put $100K+ options and it in this area. Zip 89113. The nice homes at 3600 ft.² and above start at 1.1 now in this area.

For the most part Californians fleeing the high taxes and political nonsense.

Looks very nice.
I wish I'd seen the update a little sooner and I would have sent you the Artistic Pavers at my cost.
You'll have some great times around that pool for sure.

Boat pi. What’s the plans for the bar area? Is there power? Fridge? Margarita machine? Freakin kegs?!

So sick!

Let me mention Artistic Pavers.

We used a contractor recommended to me by the West Coast rep for this company it’s a fabulous company that makes an incredible product and a contractor buys direct, and I got a deal. Under $10 a square foot all in.

Like I mentioned when I was a little over 100° a week ago I put my palm on the pavers in direct sunlight and it would not burn the palm of my hand.

If I was building from Ground Zero I would never use concrete with the cool deck, this stuff is unbelievable.
