Sold my 95 Ram with 160-ish on it. Had a couple of work trucks in between then and my current truck. Sitting at 150k now. Other than needing another set of exhaust manifolds, this one is holding up well. I'll probably start looking again at 180k or so...
My old 95 was a fun truck
Wife and I have been talking about having our kitchen redone pretty much since we bought this place in 2017. Well, I think it's finally time to start getting serious about it.
Any inmates here do this kind of work in the IE, or maybe have some leads to a reliable contractor?
My biggest hurtle...
This is my "cry" song as me and my boys call it. My Pop's played it at my grandfather's funeral. We didn't come from much, but we never did without. I was raised to always provide for the family, even if that meant you had to miss things like Thanksgiving dinner because you are out of the state...
Looking at front sand tire options. Really want a 35" front tire so I'm currently considering the Rogue tire. Anyone have experience with their tires? These will be going on a 17x6.5" wheel.
The STU 12.5 is 37.5" tall so I think that will look silly paired up to my 33-17 paddles. Paddles are on...
In junior high, I was taking Taekwondo classes. I got my purple belt and was moved into the adult class since I was kind of big for the "kids" class at that point. My instructors stepson was a senior in high school (3rd degree black belt) and would work with me one on one quite a bit during and...
Man, the boating season trips have really put me behind on the buggy build...
I had to pull the ECU and send it out to fix the IAC controller. I messed around with the I/C to figure out where to mount it. I decided to mount it over the engine so now I'm working on the mounts. Got the 80#...
"Don't ever point a gun at something (or someone) unless you are prepared to KILL, Destroy, or PAY for what is in front of it".
Words spoken by my firearms instructor.
Control room. The doors opened inward so the operators didn’t stand a chance.
I haven’t spent much time in the boilers. Only the boiler feed pumps. I’ve mostly worked on the steam turbines and components. Machinist by trade, but welder, hammer jockey, or whatever else is needed. Lol.
I'm still on the fence about making the run this year. I have wanted to for a while, but we are only going to be on the water Saturday. I have to be back in SD to leave on a fishing trip Sunday evening... You may see us, or maybe we will watch you all rip on by.
When I got into the Steam Turbine repair industry I worked with a bunch of old cats from the SCE days. Worked with a guy "Hip Shot" who crossed the picket lines at that plant and got shot by a high powered pellet gun. Also worked with a welder who had just clocked out when the steam line failed...
My kids all wore PFD's until they were of age not to have to by law. All know how to swim, but in a panic situation shit goes out the window fast. Not knowing what way is up, high stress, possible debris in the water. You just never know.
My sister drowned at Powell when she was around 2, I...
I did a lot of traveling for work over the last 25 years. Spent months at a time in hotels. Some were nice, most were not... For me, hotels are kind of a drag unless it is something right on the beach or whatever.
I have always had a place where I can keep my RV at home, so storage has never...
Looks like they still call them that. LOL
Designed to separate and secure your bimini top tubes while in their resting position. Our Bimini Amigos work with 7/8" tubing and are CNC machined out of Billet Aluminum. They are available in a bright polished finish or black or clear old in pairs...
To start, the slip number went from 20%+ to 13/14%. The mid-range pulls harder. I take it easy out of the hole, so both do well there but I'm sure the SL5 would best the Bravo if pushed. The slip is the biggest for me though. At cruising speed on up, the SL5 is more efficient everywhere.
